It took three rounds to bring the door down.

Thistle blesses his companions while the troglodytes take up defensive positions. Caranthirs fires off a first volley of arrows, two missiles in rapid succession, both hitting the same troglodyte. The first freezes its leg, while the the second one hits it straight in the heart, toppling him over.

Haven't been able to update her properly yet

Asuna moves a little into the room and with a twist of her nose makes a giant pit appear under the troglodytes at the left side of the room.

Create pit, dc 19 and its 20 feet deep. The one on the side has to save as well but gets a bonus I think.

Kirito meanwhile moves into the room and manages to get over the barrier, landing right in front of the stinky creature in front of him with a deep growl.

One of the troglodytes stumbles hopelessly and falls down in to the fit, while the other manage to avoid falling down - for now, as space is horribly confined behind the barrier.

The troglodytes work themselves up, the awful rotten stench spreading rapidly in the small room.

[ooc]Thistle and Kirito need to roll a DC 13 fort save against the stench

The two troglodytes closest to kirito grab their falchions and start a flurry of strikes at Kirito

The unfortunate bruised frog at the bottom of the pit gets up, and starts climbing

Caranthir fires his arrows, and scores another two solid hits. The tip pierce the scaly skin, though the cold of the arrows does not seem to have a very extensive effect. Thistle starts clubbing the lone troglodyte on his side of the barrier, while Jelani wades in and hits two troglodytes through the barricade, cracking their skulls in rapid succession.

That's right, these are not normal troglodyte. They seem to be fiendish in some way, and fanatical too. The blades they're holding seem to be embossed with some kind of religious rune.

Bruce studies the troglodytes, while Fellgrim moves up. Kirito ends the already badly wounded troglodyte behind the west barrier.

The troglodyte in the pit tries to reach his brother up above, climbing up fanatically, but making little progress.

Thistle feels no pity for the demon worshippers as Caranthir completes the grim task. When the group is ready, he moves into place to explore what lies behind the next door.

The next chamber is an irregular octagon, and smells terrible. There is no furniture, just piles of makeshift bedding. The room looks like it could easily sleep twelve. There is a dark opening on the south wall.

To the south is a cave that the Troglodytes seem to have used as a giant latrine. The less said about it, the better.

The elf casts detect magic and carefully searches the room, though he would clearly rather be somewhere else.

"Would you prefer to go back to the south door in the last room, or wade through hip-deep raw sewage?" the elf asks, as if the answer is already clear.

I'll go ahead and provide a second vote for whatever anyone wants to do.

He pulls his tunic over his nose and keeps his mouth shut, then moves into the room in order to make sure there aren't any enemies they are leaving behind them.

Take 10 perception, quick sweep and back out.

I'm just waiting for the detect magic to show there's something in the sewer, in which case I'm diving right in!

There's nothing magical about the excrement of the troglodytes. Nothing noteworthy either, apart from an Abyssal stench. There's a door at the far end, but common sense says that the easier way to get to the other end is through the southern door in the barricaded room.

In the center of the room is a fire pit with a sizable blaze crackling away. On either side are two tables with four chairs each. The remains of several small subterranean creatures—mostly rats and lizards—cover the tables. It seems they were being eaten raw.

Along the walls are several barrels, one of which is full of javelins. There are doors to the east, west, and north.

Like Thistle, Caranthir is unaffected by the serpent's beguiling charm.

Still, the creature's sudden advance puts the warrior-wizard off guard, though his divination magic notified him at the last second that an attack was coming. The elf draws a pair of blunt arrows, knowing from past experience that the standard type do little against skeletal creatures. His first arrow goes wide, but the second appears to find its mark.

Fellgrim acts quickly and engulfs the necrophidius in flame, severely scorching its bones. The brittle bones give way as Thistle brings down his morningstar, cracking the skull and sending the spine plummeting down into the pit.

The door is made of metal plate, and is warm to the touch. Unlocked, a wave of heat floods out as the door opens. Inside the scorching hot room are a great anvil, a pool of magma, and a stack of barrels along the north wall.

A red, reptilian creature is banging away at the forge, but stops as it spots the adventurers: You do not belong in this place. Leave or the Awakener will strike you down.
