DM Kludde |
Since the player for Anail is out on holiday, Anail will return and report on what he's seen.
Dhastrach Orisialis |
Time for intermission RP then!
Dhastrach sighs heavily at Brewslee's proposal. "You know, we werre supposed to prretend to be unqualified drrunk baffoonss, but you have obviously taken yourr devotion to playing out the rrole to the fullest," the dwarf snarls in ire, and takes the flask only to throw it away with his divine magic (hand of the acolyte!) into the river.
"Ourr mission involvess taking down rruffianss who've assaulted ourr colleaguess. Now demonstrrate some of yourr trransitorrily misplaced prrofessionalism and clearr yourr sensess!"
Ackuda |
Ackuda watches Dhastrach's outburst, and a chuckle follows. "Reading books must be very quick for you, Dhastrach. You only seem to read the covers." he says. He reaches into his pack and pulls out a flask of his own and offers it to Brewslee.
Brewslee Haiiya |
Brewslee smiles at Dhastrach as he grabs a new flask from his belt and unscrews the cap taking a large drink.
Dhastrach Orisialis |
Dhastrach harumphs at Ackuda. "I haven't seen him soberr on this entirre trrip, he must've borrn with a flask on hiss lipss!" he rants before turning to face the river.
DM Kludde |
Enjoying the roleplaying, but let's keep it friendly and non-PvP. Anail's player was fine with moving things forward, so as not to stall things.
Miyako_Okori |
Miyako doesn't really get what the fuss is about, but she does agree with the direct approach that was mentioned. "I'll shoot one right away!"
She nocks an arrow and pulls the string of her longbow back, then aims at the nearest guard before releasing her arrow.
Arrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7
Brewslee Haiiya |
DM Kludde |
Can you tell me how you want to approach before you start firing? Do you want to fire from the barge you're on?
Belka |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
"The eagle man had to alert the other brigands anyway and they are surely waiting for us," the Kellid says. "If they see us coming they will shoot at us. Are you still able to conjure a mist like you did before?" she asks Ackuda. "It could help us against the arrows."
Miyako_Okori |
@GM: Yes please. I suspect they'll otherwise see me before I get a chance to fire a surprise shot.

Ackuda |
Ackuda draws a pinch of some sparkling powder from his spell component pouch and throws it into the air towards the dock. He mutters an arcane phrase and the powder bursts with light and settles over the two sentries.
Cast Glitterdust on the two sentries, DC 18 will
DM Kludde |
The party is quick to react, and even before Miyako releases her arrow, Dhastrach is armed and ready, Belka has her protection up, Brewslee... who know what he is doing, and Ackuda fills the air with golden dust, blinding one of the sailors.

Anáil draws his rapier while the others also prepare for combat.
DM Kludde |
Feel free to also post an action for Anail for the regular round. I doubt it'll take us two days to resolve.
Dhastrach Orisialis |
Dhastrach waits for the barge to close in. Meanwhile, he speaks a short prayer.
"May Nethys impose destruction upon our foes."
Bless for everyone.

Ackuda and Dhastrach prepare for the upcoming onslaught, while Belka finishes the wounded sailor with an arrow to the chest.

Remember Bless, people!
Dhastrach assumes the sailor is not alone, and the team might meet powerful forces soon, including the druid that escaped the battle on the barge. Determined that Brewslee will be reckless no matter what, Dhastrach might add to that just the same. He goes over to the drunk man and grasps Brewslee's bicep. The monk can feel his muscles tightening.
"There's a lifetime's supply of rum in that building," Dhastrach says to Brewslee. Although he's not a very convincing liar, he figures Brewslee won't care.
Bull's strength on Brewslee
DM Kludde |
Dhastrach strengthens Brewslee, while Belka takes out the last of the sailors, but not before he can raise a ruckus.
This part of combat over...
It takes another round to arrive at the dock, and a second one to move over to the door.
Belka |
Belka straps her bow to her back and grabs her greataxe. When she arrives at the door, she casts a protection spell on herself.
Round 1: strap bow and draw greataxe
Round 2: move 8 squares and cast Shield
Miyako_Okori |
Round 1:
Miyako puts her longbow away and casts guidance on herself.
Round 2:
As soon as the party arrives at the docks, Miyako double moves up to the building's door while drawing her rapier.
Brewslee Haiiya |
Brewslee smiles at Dhastrach. But I don't drink.....Perhapsh it would improve crew morale
Brewslee hops up onto the dock drawing his temple sword.
Dhastrach Orisialis |
Round 1: waits
Round 2: move 4 squares and ready an action to throw warhammer with hand of the acolyte
+1 warhammer (Hand of the acolyte) (+ Bless): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25 for Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Dhastrach moves forward once the barge comes ashore and disembarks, ready to launch his weapon to an unsuspecting foe.
DM Kludde |
Theparty moves ashore, and just as Miyako steps close to the door, it swing open, revealing an angry mob of pirates.

Dhastrach begins casting again, this time shoving Anáil away so he can reach every fellow agent. Basically a ready action 5ft-step + spell casting. I changed placed with Anáil on the map.
"Evil bewarre, thwarrted arre thy actionss."
Communal Protection from Evil, nicely 6 PCs (everyone), 1 minute duration each. So now everyone has Bless for over 5 minutes and Protection from Evil for 1 minute. Brewslee has Bull's Strength for over 5 minutes.
Miyako_Okori |
Miyako steps up to the enemy in the door opening and attempts to poke him with her rapier.
+1 Adamantine Rapier: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Confirm crit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Anáil Stormbringer |
I'm back. Sorry for the disturbance, and thanks for playing my character in my absence!
Seeing that Miyako and his companions have things well in hand, Anáil swiftly moves around the house, towards the back door, drawing his rapier as he runs like the wind.
"I'll prevent them from running away."
In other words, since we have so many frontliners, it's a bit pointless to remain there, so I'll make myself useful. Don't worry, I won't open the door and start another encounter at the same time!
Brewslee Haiiya |
