One of the stuffed meadowlarks floating in the cage is actually a highly realistic feather token (bird). In addition, you notice that one of the horns on the mounted gorgon’s head does not match the other; it is a horn of fog.

More importantly, a human male languishes within the locked birdcage (Disable Device DC 20). The mostly toothless man appears nearly unconscious; he’s partially submerged, nearly invisible due to being surrounded by stuffed birds, and bleading extensively from the mouth.

Quillen sheathes his rapier, swinging around a tanned leather satchel "fannypack" to the front of his person. He digs around inside, first pulling out a waterlogged pack of cigarettes.

With the bookcases serving as wooden walkways, it takes very little time to scout the last two un-searched rooms. There do not appear to be any further creatures lurking in the basement.

Please take a moment to make one or both checks for the first room:

DC 15 Perception or Knowledge (geography):
You notice one unusual item floating along the water’s surface: a silk map that portrays Tian Xia mashed into the side of Avistan to create a strange supercontinent. This artistic map is more than just an intellectual curiosity, for incorporated into its legend and place names are the means to use the map as a scroll of dimension door.

If you succeeded at a DC 15 Perception check:
You also finds a strange bookmark bobbing in the water.

Then a second check for the second room:

DC 15 Perception:
You locate one of the fragments of The Name of the Fox. [OOC]I will post the riddle if/when found.

DC 20 Perception:
The northernmost alcove of this room contains another treasure, although it is obscured by a constant 15-foot-diameter sphere of darkness and requires a successful DC 20 Perception check to locate. A heavy codex bound with cured dwarf skin, The Darklands Precepts is a guide to proper forms of address and correspondence among drow noble families, with shorter chapters regarding drow demonology rituals and other, equally dangerous rites.

If you take time to identify:
The riddle fragment you found acts as a scroll of summon monster specifically for one Tatzlwyrm. With appropriate K. Arcana, you will know what that is . . .

The third riddle fragment is posted on the Handouts Link, like all the others, it is written in Sylvan.

Knowing nothing save that which he knew not to know.
Cross! Cross was the owl at the albatross
For catching the bulk of the fish
So the owl cast deeper, awaking a sleeper
Who made of both feathers one dish.

As we have heard, the worm's got by the bird
Who gets up so early a-dawnward,
But what of the bird who, deceased and interred,
Becomes food for the worm worming onward?

Upon lunching on sons of the judge
Then he made of the father a rather fine sauce
Thereby showing he bore him no grudge.

Dined on beans and bones and ordure,
Lost her teeth so took her daughters,
Then went wading to make water.
When Sir Crocodile attacked,
Used his teeth to bite him back.

Replacing his hat, he looks about nervously as everything seems to be eating everything in the stories.

"And where iz zis Zir Crocodile? Perhaps it is ze monster in ze scroll yet unreleased?"

"I recall the giant fish creature upstairs asked us to gather these. Maybe it can shed some light on what we might do with them. Also we can let it know the trickster has left the archives so there is no point in flooding the place any further."
