Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Huh, guess she is stupid. Guess that's what you get with pretty girls, all make-up and no brains. I'm wasting my time here. If you want to keep lugging him around that's fine, but I'd advise you to see a chiropractic before too long. Carrying his fat butt around might throw out your back. Kaze o throws another wink her way and walks away, but not before stealing a glance at the Orc and saying Mausro hooac!

Sylvan:
Muscle head!

Battle Grid

As Quimkithe walks away the orcs laugh at their master's seeming ability to teach everyone their place. She then hears his snobbish goblin voice carrying orcish words to her. "I v'rr oaesourv aevae'k vaiu goodro aekkodvk." Which is followed immediately by a great guffaw of the entire group of goblins and orcs.

Orcish:
I will eagerly await your feeble attempt.

Femle Drow-Noble Cleric/1

hmm I see Sadira walks away from the halfling towards the banquet table. stupid halfling thought it was a joke, ugh I can't stand some people she then picks up a glass of wine and heads to the library a little early to pray and wait for Kaze o.

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Kaze o makes his way to the library, still in shifted form, after his failed attempt to charm where he finds Sadira, still with her glass of wine. Does she always have a partially full glass of wine with her? He almost steps into the room when he looks down at his bare leg. His face pales Black ice! I haven't shifted back yet!! He quickly darts behind the door, out of sight and shifts back.

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Sadira! Have much luck with those ruffians?

Femle Drow-Noble Cleric/1

ummm well the halfling I talked to thinks that Temerlyth wants to take over the world, using his magic and all of us gathered here. Then again he was an idiot, but his theory makes sense. I really hate admitting that what did you find out? she downs the glass of wine and sets it on a shelf nearby.

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Must've been pretty rough getting that info, the way she downed that wine and all... Kaze o let's out a heartbroken sigh All Ive learned is to never try to flirt with a woman who has a half-orc for a boy friend. Glad that at least one of us found something out.

Femle Drow-Noble Cleric/1

that's all??? ya if she is dating a half-Orc she can't be too intelligent, I wouldn't worry about it. I told my daughter Tamarelle to talk to people to get information, but I haven't heard from her so hopefully she lets me know what she has found out soon.. hmmm speaking of half-Orc I was talking to one earlier who I thought I could trust what was her name??? there is a female half Orc nearby who seems trustworthy enough and has almost canine features, maybe we can use her to our advantage, after all she can't be too bright, maybe we should find her. if we give her a bone she will surely help us she holds back a small laugh.

Female Half-orc Werewolf Ranger/1

Back stiff with indignation, Quimkithe stalked back to the buffet table. If I could only go one on one with that goblin, I would show him who is boss. Quimkithe, reaching the buffet, grabbed a chicken leg and started munching. So what know? That one elf man, what was his name... Temerlyth I think... well anyway what am I supposed to do now? Out of the corner of her eye she spied some more goblins. With a snort of derision, Quimkithe left behind the table and started to walk down a random hallway.

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

I think I remember her, or was it a he, I couldn't tell. Anyway I'll go out and look for her. Kaze o then left the room and began walking down the hall. Sure enough he sees a female half-orc walking his direction. Quimkithe in normal form, but Kaze o doesn't realize this quite yet. You wouldn't happen to have seen an orc wolf thing walking around here have you?

Female Half-orc Werewolf Ranger/1

Angrily, quickly, Quimkithe shifts into her hybrid, full animal, then back to her hybrid form.Orc wolf thing?! How dare he!An orc wolf thing, you say? Nope have yet to see one, she sarcastically retorts,I am a half-orc werewolf, if that is what you meant to say.

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Startled, Kaze o jumps back, hand clutching his blade. I did not mean to anger you. Just calm down. I've been sent by a certain Drow to look for you. Either that or we can claw and bite at each other right here, right now like the bestial creatures we are perceived to be! The choice is yours, but I'd advise you to just follow me and save your bloodlust for some other, less fortunate creature. Kaze o readies an action to attack Quimkithe if she takes any hostile actions

Female Half-orc Werewolf Ranger/1

Panting heavily Quimkithe takes a step back.I'm sorry, I just had a run in with a some goblins... I have trouble controlling myself when goblins are around. This Drow, what is her name, and what does she look like? I was talking to one earlier, but she left me to talk to her child without ever giving me her name. Tlaek tkikx iv r'kkro vu'kx

Orcish:
That stuck up little prick

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Sadira is her name, and she is the same Drow in which you speak. And I understand your hatred of those filthy little vermin. Now let me lead you to her. Kaze o then begins to walk toward the library.

Female Half-orc Werewolf Ranger/1

Before we go anywhere, why are you bringing me to her, are you her servant? Has Temerlyth already talked with you and her? What do you know? I may be asking too many questions, but I'm not going anywhere with him until I know more. After all be barely said ten words to each other before now.

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Kaze o whirled around to look at Quimkithe. I'm nobody's servant!! Now if you will just follow me all you questions will be answered. Kaze o then turned back around and headed for the library.

Female Half-orc Werewolf Ranger/1

A snarl creased Quimkithe's face. This had better be worth it. After a moments pause he followed Kaze o.

Female Half-Drow Rogue1

Tamarelle follows the orders of her mother, with nothing but obediance. She eves-drops on a conversation coming from hallway.

Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

She tries sneaking through the main hall, as she bumps into others and loudly brings stomps about, she alerts the attention of the two she was meant to eves-drop on

Male Tiefling Barbarian (Hurler) 1

Imfazl sits in silence to order his thoughts This guy reeks of powerful magic... Hmm a magician is never far from his spell book. A magician this strong must have a whole library nearby! There's bound to be some personal information I can get out of those books about him. Imfazl begins to search for a library while casually walking straight through the crowd pushing people out of the way accordingly
Push: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Imfazle does not see a library anywhere nearby and decides to ask the depressed looking fellow to his right
Do you happen to know where a man could find a library down here?

Femle Drow-Noble Cleric/1

That't right her name was Quimkithe, now I remember, wait a second I hear foot steps. Sadira sees Kaze o bringing Quimkithe to the library. Hello again Quimkithe, I forgot to tell you my name earlier, I am Sadira, hello again Kaze o, you found her fast. I feel like you two are fairly trust worthy compared to others I have spoken with. How would you guys like to join up to find out what is going on here and why we are all here? My daughter Tamarelle is supposed to be talking to people so hopefully she will come back with some good information for us. I really hope she pulls through Quimkithe do you know anything about, why we are here, since last we spoke?

Female Half-orc Werewolf Ranger/1

So I am trustworthy? Well I suppose I am, so long as it serves my purposes, but I have no idea if they are trustworthy. I've barely talked to them... but let's see how this all turns out. Ah, so it's Sadira, I had been wondering... I have not found anything knew since last we met how about the two of you? Have you guys found out anything?

Femle Drow-Noble Cleric/1

I spoke with a peculiar halfling who thought he was pretty smart, he had a theory that Temerlyth is trying to take over the world using his magic and all of is gathered here.

Female Half-orc Werewolf Ranger/1

I'm smelling something fishy. First off, during all that chanting I felt as if he was manipulating me, controlling me with some sort of mind magic, and then I though I saw something. Almost as if his form shifted. He was a high and mighty elf lord one moment and then, suddenly, I thought I saw some sort of decaying body in his place... If he really is planning on taking over the world, I have the feeling, though it pains me to say it, we are simply pawns to him.

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

I refuse to be anyone's pawn to just play games with! If he makes the mistake of assuming that I'm just some piece that he can sacrifice when I served my purpose then he'll find his blood on these very cave walls!

Femle Drow-Noble Cleric/1

she makes a good point and I do remember noticing that I just didn't know anyone else has noticed. Where do you think we would find Trmerlyth, maybe we can ask him a few questions if we are able to find him.

Femle Drow-Noble Cleric/1

Kaze o, I completely agree with you, we can't let him think he owns us

Female Half-orc Werewolf Ranger/1

Maybe we should go back to the common room, he is bound to return at some point. Once he has made his pretty little speech we will corner him and demand answers!

Femle Drow-Noble Cleric/1

sounds good, unless he disappears again Sadira begins walking toward the common room, when she gets there she picks up a class of water and drinks slowly. where is that daughter of mine

Female Half-orc Werewolf Ranger/1

After following Sadira to the common room Quimkithe looked around, anxious to find the next clue in this mysterious that she had suddenly become embroiled in. What next? She asked nobody in particular.

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Kaze o watches as Sadira and Quimkithe leave the room. Ill catch up with you later then. Says Kaze o, also most to himself. He takes a deep breath, I have to chill out, my anger leads me to making mistakes, and I can't let that happen now, not here. I almost blew it with Quimkithe. Kaze o looks around the library, searching the spines of each book for nothing impaticular. After a bit of perusing he sits down, cross-legged behind a bookshelf shelf so he was concealed from the doorway, and continues his interrupted prayer to Kostchtchie.

Femle Drow-Noble Cleric/1

I really have to go to the bathroom, oh that's right I've been drinking all night... Oops Sadira rushes to the bathroom, then comes back to the common room and gets a glass of wine.

Battle Grid

Imfazl's question is answered by a massive bugbear, who points down a narrow corridor on the east side of the large audience chamber. "There." Is the only word he speaks, he then walks away. As the excitement of Temerlyth's initial appearance has worn off, the common room begins to empty, as people return to their quarters, or other areas of the massive underground lair. In fact, there are only a few pockets of monsters and people scattered about the huge stone chamber. Servants run about replacing the empty pitchers of every conceivable drink, clearing away platters of food, and making sure the exorbitant buffet is never empty.

As the servants mill about the various rooms and corridors, checking on the needs of their master's guests, one brushes against you, seemingly on accident, but as you turn to offer a contemptuous look you see no one. It is then you notice that there is a sealed envelope in your hand. The wax seal on the envelope is the same seal that came on the letter you received oh so many months ago, the letter that brought you here, to this underground mansion, in the first place. You find the image on the seal to be much more interesting now: a double cross... Whether that is symbolic or simply coincidence you are, as yet, unaware. Unfortunately your knowledge of history and elven nobility is extremely limited.

If anybody were trained in knowledge: history, or knowledge: nobility, I'd be asking you to make a knowledge roll right now, but nobody is trained in either of those.

You stare at the sealed envelope for a moment, wondering, should I open this here, and now, or retire to more private quarters to read it?

Female Half-orc Werewolf Ranger/1

Quimkithe looks around and realized, for the first time, that the common room has started to empty. Maybe I should go somewhere more private to read this. Then with a shrug of contempt, she opens the letter, to impatient to wait to find out what is going on.

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Kaze o looks down at the envelope curiously. It's that insignia again. I'm not to sure what it means though, better hold on to it and see if anyone might know what it means. He checks his surroundings to make sure nobody is around then uses one of his sharp canines to carefully open the seal without damaging the insignia. He slides out the letter and reads it carefully, often checking his surroundings to see if anyone decides to sneak up on him.

Male Tiefling Barbarian (Hurler) 1

Imfazl graciously says Thank you! to the Bugbear then he quickly puts the envelope into his pocket best not to open this here. Let's see what the library has to offer first. he walks into the library quickly and upon entering catches the door and closes it gently not to disturb the silence. Now let's see what I can find! he looks around quietly, seeing a ladder in the corner he moves it to nearby shelf and climbs to the top.
climb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
He grabs a book at random with his tail and begins to skim through it looking for any clues about his host. There has got to be something! A guy like that couldn't have gone unnoticed.

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Kaze o jumps up at the sudden burst of noise that enters the room, drawing his sword and pointing it at what he perceives to be a demon. What in hoarfrost are you doing here demon? growls the, now quite agitated, Kazeo o.

Male Tiefling Barbarian (Hurler) 1

Jumping off of the ladder Who in Molochs army has the guts to try and insult me?! And demon! Haven't heard that one before! Oh well, looks like he'll soon realize his mistake.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
And landing ungracefully on his tail, Imfazl quickly gets up and makes a big show of drawing his own weapon, a greatsword, replies with a smirk Imfazl's the name and to find out who our mysterious master is the game. Tiefling, it's Tiefling, not demon by the way. Completely different breed. I will gladly show you how our abilities differ if you keep your puny sword pointed at me.

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Kaze o couldn't help but letting a chuckle pass his lips after Imfazl's disgraceful landing. Fine Tiefling, but only because I feel you've disgraced yourself enough with that landing. Wouldn't want you to fall on your own sword before I even swing mine. Kaze o sheathes his weapon, but keeps his hand on the hilt, in case trouble stirs. Now I will ask you again, what is your business in here?

Femle Drow-Noble Cleric/1

Hey you... thats interesting its the exact same insignia as last time Sadira sets down her wine glass and opens up the new letter she has received.

Male Tiefling Barbarian (Hurler) 1

I'm in a whole cavern filled with evil twisted beings, alone. This fox thing seems to know how to handle himself. Might be handy to make a few friends Imfazl sheathes his sword across his back and sticks out his hand As I said, I'm Imfazl, I'm here trying to read up on our host. Something feels off. time to show him some trust and see how well he reacts to a potential alliance I got this letter, I'm assuming it's his from the insignia, and wanted to know who he is before opening it. What are you here for?

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Pulls his sword on me and now is trying to shake my hand. I don't know if I trust him that quickly, but he received the same letter as I did. Kaze o pick the opened envelope off the table and shows the sealed side to Imfazl, I was reading the letter before you so noisily burst in here. I would suggest you take a look at it. Kaze o then opens the letter and begins reading over it again.

Male Tiefling Barbarian (Hurler) 1

hmmm so he wants be like that then! He seems to be fine, as of now no curse or emotional damage as I can see. Maybe I will just open my letter, but not in front of him
Pleasure meeting you Mr.Fox! You'll have to excuse me as I further my thirst for knowledge! with that, Imfazl walked down a few book cases.
Stealth: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Imfazl was reading his letter while leaning on a book shelf, which happened to topple over causing a domino effect until the three book shelves in between Kaze o and Imfazl were all over the ground. Kaze o clearly saw Imfazl trying to read his letter.

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Kaze o looks up at Imfazl, clearly annoyed. First off, foxes are small uninteligent creatures that roam the woodlands. I am a kitsune, but who am I kidding. I shouldn't expect one of lesser intelligence to know such a thing. Second thing, if you continue with your irritating clatter, I would suggest you read somewhere else. And third, that letter is no secret, I'm assuming they all read the same thing, so there is no need to try and hide it. Kaze o then looks back down at the letter and mutters, Craurlsiy corla' liaus oa' fao dauao oa ho

Sylvan:
Clumsy demon just can't be quiet can he.

Male Tiefling Barbarian (Hurler) 1

Alright, this fella is way too serious for me. Why can't he liven up a bit! Imfazl looks up at Kaze o As you wish pup he says . As he walks past, he ever so slightly hits the letter out of Kaze o's paws with his tail. At the door he turns and smirks Hope we meet again soon, friend! or not Imfazl finds a deserted hallway and finishes reading his letter

Male Kitsune Antipaladin/1

Kaze o growls. I hope we don't. Remind me to cut that fool's tail off before the end of the night.

Female Half-Drow Rogue1

Tamarelle grows tired of the common room and walks away in search of her mother.

Femle Drow-Noble Cleric/1

Sadira begins to look for her daughter. I should show her the letter I got. Sadira spots Tamarelle and walks over to her, pulls her into an empty room and shows her the letter.

Battle Grid

The flowing script of the letter you received is both beautiful, and archaic. It shows turns and curves reminiscent of the ancient elven language Sylvan, though it is written in common. It reads thusly:

Honored Guest,

I believe your powers and desires align perfectly with my designs. I have every confidence that we could be of mutual benefit to each other. I hope my hospitality has been suitable. In return, I ask only that you meet me in private. If you could meet me tonight at midnight in my private arboretum I would consider it a great favor.

Yours in great respect,
Temerlyth Loraethyan

At the bottom of the letter you see a small sketch map, and realize that it is actually pointing you to a secret door in the rear section of the larger library. There is a description of a particular book you must pull on in order to open the secret door. It appears you've been made privy to some of Temerlyth's own secrets. Perhaps a private meeting is just what's called for, a place to get some questions answered. Unfortunately there are still three hours until midnight. How best to pass that time...

Femle Drow-Noble Cleric/1

Meet me at a quarter til midnight in the library. Sadira left to head to the library to find the book
