Will Save DC 14: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Up until they had entered the prison Uklod had never encountered true undead before. The church had sent him twice to investigate rumors but both instances had turned out to be hoaxes. As such, his last shred of resolve fled at the appearance of the poltergeist and he followed suit back out the door and down the hall.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Ake's Will 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Ake, Uklod, and Ingrid's first two rounds are spent fleeing.

Suddenly something shifts in the debris behind Ioann and an old rusted scalpel, a pair of hemostats, and a metal tray raise up into the air before throwing themselves violently at Ioann.

Ioann's mind is filled with intense emotions enough to make him shriek in fear and run away. However, anger takes over. Anger at this creature delaying them from delivering swift justice. No, anger at delaying sweet revenge. Worse, the pain from cuts he receives just exacerbates the anger.

"HOW DO WE KILL IT!?" he shouts to Terrance as he lifts his sword to try and strike the spirit (in vain).

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

That spot is occupied by the table in that area. You would have to move the table before being able to occupy that spot. If most of the square was empty I'd allow it but it's mostly full.

[spoiler=Terrance]You know that all though some magic can harm this poltergeist, even to the point of temporarily disarming the undead, it will again revive itself given time. The only way to truly destroy it is to find the cause of its existence and put an end to whatever holds it here. It is likely, that the destroying the stronger spirits of this place will also destroy the poltergeist.[/ooc]

Reviewing what I had written previously about learning how to destroy the haunts, I am retroactively making the DC roll for the last haunt (the branding irons) a DC20. Those who made that roll would have known that the only way to destroy that haunt entirely is to take out the key ghosts of Harrowstone.

In that case going straight south and then casting

Ioann, we can only disrupt it right now. It will be put to full rest when we deal with all the big spirits in this place

Magic weapon active for 10/10 rounds.

Unlikely to be physically effective against the eerie entity, Ravel moves to the hallway hoping to keep tract of thier fleeing companions.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Why not have her use a spell?

As the others run away, fleeing in fear Ravel leaves Ioann and Terrance to fight the poltergeist so that she can make sure those fleeing don't come to more harm. Debris a few feet to Terrance's left shifts and a splintered piece of wood, a bone saw, and a syringe rise up to throw themselves at him.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

I haven't seen anything that says that you can't so I'm accepting crits.

Ioann's blade passes through the ghost just as it had before, but with significantly greater effect. The poltergeist makes a high pitched screaming sound and appears to flicker for a moment before disappearing altogether. The room is silent save the sounds of Ioann's and Terrance's heavy breathing.

Terrance grins at ioann and Ravel.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

The others haven't quite made it out of the building yet when they regain their senses.

Tired, Ioann drops his sword. For a moment, he stares into the emptiness of the room. Once he recovers, he takes back his sword and heads toward the hall were the others fled.

When he sees them, he grunts in disdain.
"Done running already?"

"I am sorry for my loss of decorum. It appears that haunt had a stronger effect on my mind than anticipated." Ingrid states the burgundy flush in her pale cheeks a clear sign of embarrassment.

"No, they didn't actually get very far." Ravel replies turning back toward Ioann and Terrance.

Human Inquisitor 1 ~ HP 16/16 ~ F +3 / R +1 / W +6

Once the fear wore off, Uklod slowed to a walk and then knelt in the middle of the hallway. He rushed whispered prayers to his goddess before rising. The young man wiped the cold sweat from his brow and after a deep breath tried to retrace his steps to find his companions.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Having made a straight line for the exit, those who ran are easily found again.

Ioann turns his back to the others as he heads back toward the room where the poltergeist was.

"Do not worry, Terrance and I took care of the spirit." he says to the others halfway through the corridor.

Once he his back inside the room, Ioann takes the sledgehammer and goes to the door across the room which he tries to break down.z28

Ooops, forgot to check the results of the sledgehammer.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

The location of the door doesn't provide a very good view of the room, you can only see that the northeastern wall is down and that the lake that laid just behind it has over time made it's way into this room. As you enter, please give me your locations on the map.

Ravel stays close to Ake, letting the Dead Detectors move before her. "There is so much unrest within these walls."

Female Changeling (Green Widow) Witch (Dreamweaver)/2 HP: 9/9

Ravel pauses, "If we are to figure out what has happened here, we need more than animated bones and the angry spirits who once wore them. There are clues the ghosts don't want us to find. We need to be a little more thorough... brands or otherwise."

As Ioann switches from sledgehammer to sword, he looks at Ravel.

"Yes... but we need to strengthen lady Hawkran first..."

The man then looks at Ingrid and Terrance, clearly expecting them to enter first and search for evil spirits.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Ingrid:
There is definitely an undead presence in here, of moderate strength, and it seems to be coming from the furnace (AB30-31 and back).

Only those in the room may make this check, and by my count so far only Ingrid has entered the room.

Perception DC 15:

Uklod was beginning to think he was ill prepared to face so many undead in one place...and such horrid variety... He had just one weapon to use against this spirit and he hoped it was effective.

While mumbling a short prayer he pointed at the flames.
