"Poor" Cyric |
Cyric shrugs, "Don't know too much about the Gods. Maybe if I wasn't always having everything fall to crap I might have more faith...."

Naomi giggles at Hagryms Idea to mess with the temple, "Lets turn the temple into a temple for your god Hagrym, or at least a halfway house for puppies and kittens! Whatever were doing lets do it so we can find our necromancer, unless you all think this was him?"

Hagrym pulls back in horror at the statue. "Hush, Naomi! No time for playing now! That there is a statue of maybe the worst, most evil God in all of the world, Orcus, the Prince of Demons himself! No wonder that half Orc was so nasty. Only the worst worship this bad boy."
Hagrym didn't know how to 'fix' the altar, but he took the adamnatine mace and smashed the images, if he could. He also sprinkled around some holy water, trying to remove the taint of evil. "Dwerfater guide me," he muttered.
brvheart |
That mace should make quick work of the shrine. It could be worse Hagrym, but that is for another day. And no, this was not the necromancer.
Naomi Chadwick |
Why does he think I was playing going upstairs and looking in the temple Naomi adds "EW, you have an ancient holy remade mace! put it to work, if we want to bring a broom and dustpan back later to clean up the mess we can." Going down the stairs back to the 'shop' she calls over her should "The clock is ticking boys, and we have a necromancer to find."
Hagrym |
I can't tell from the map exactly where we have been and not. Pick the next random hallway and brave Hagrym will lead the way!

Hagrym grunts and takes out his regular battle axe, not having used it for some time. He had started to miss it, his favorite axe and all.

Isn't that why you have guides, to tell you where you have been? When you get back to the four-way they tell you that the passage south has not been explored.
Twenty feet ahead of you is another circular room some 40' in diameter. The room’s ceiling is an iron grate suspended 15 feet over the lower passage. The chamber serves as a subterranean spillway for the Wahr River, with the grate preventing debris from the ocean from washing into the spillway. Slime coats the walls and hangs in 10- to 12-foot long tendrils from the grate like a dense jungle.
The floor of the lower chamber is bowl-shaped from ages of falling water eroding the bricks. A shallow pool of slimy water fills the depression.
Hagrym |
"I bet that nasty water is slick as a whistle. Everyone needs to mind their balanced own here," the dwarf advises as he leads the others on.

The Otyugh appears to be stuck in the grate above.
Jarvis Ward |
"We could get some rancid butcher meat?"
Naomi Chadwick |
not waiting to ask the team Naomi blurts out "We have a deal, Hang on!" Naomi hoping Hagrym realizes the 'hang on' was as much for him as the tentacled monster. "Good idea Jarvis, some of you boys go get carcasses from the orc butcher, the rest of you look at that grate and figure out what has the beast trapped." I hope he doesn't start whaling away on that thing calling out to Hagrym she asks "Hagrym, be a dear and look and see if you can tell what has our new friend trapped, ok?" As Naomi approaches the grate, she also starts to look to see what might have the beast captured.

"Me and my friend Jarvis will be right back with a nice bit of food for you! Much, much bigger meal than our friend you've got there. Fresh too. Yum, yum! We won't be long! It will be worth the wait!"
Turvijagal will help Jarvis drag the huge Half-Orc body to the Otyugh.
"It's probably poetic justice for that huge maniac of a butcher anyway!" he whispers to Jarvis.
Hagrym |
Hagrym didn't have too much to say as that tentacle was currently squeezing the life out of him. "Iron grate has it pinned in," the dwarf gasps, as the squeezing relaxed ever so slightly.
"Yes, please, try to bring him some of the meat. Its tight up here!"

Hagrym lands with a thump. "Appreciate you letting me go. The lady's right...there is a lot of meat nearby. I'd be happy to bring it to you for the information. Maybe we all could be friends," the dwarf offers, as he quickly moves away from the monster.
brvheart |
"Bad people come from that way," as he points to the exit south. "Friends, Gur would like friends."
Hagrym |
"Well, Gur, it's nice to meet you. You hold tight and we will bring you back a mess of meat from a couple rooms over."
Hagrym returns to the butcher's and collects as many racks of the meat as possible to bring back to Gur.
Jarvis Ward |
"Alright we now have an idea where to go other then 'sewers', lets show him? the room and be off to a safe area before it floods."
brvheart |
XP=150 for befriending the Otyugh. You still have a couple of more hours before it starts to flood or you can hole up and rest until midnight.
Naomi Chadwick |
Naomi smiles a wicked little smile and asks Hagrym "Hey boys why don't we let Gur move into the Orcs place, show him how to use the door, plenty of meat there and if any of the clerics 'friends come over to play' they will be in for such a surprise!"
