Hagrym |
Init. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
I am assuming the wolf will come with us. If Ukfgaurd isn't keen on him, Hagrym will man the canoe with the wolf in tow, as I doubt a wolf will fit on our already tight raft.
Hagrym paddles his canoe over to the silo, so he can get off and go find the rock thrower and teach him some manners.

Naomi Chadwick |
if it's ok Naomi will be in the canoe with Hagrym, the coyote can be in the canoe with us or on the raft with Cyric, two in the canoe, three on each raft.
init: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
what knowledge to I.D. the creature?
Naomi Chadwick |
the rock thrown at the canoe was a natural 20, did it hit the canoe or someone in the canoe? Either way sounds like Naomi, Hagrym and Gravy might be in the drink
brvheart |
rock crit confirm: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Yeah, I would say there is a hole in the canoe which was his goal to sink it. Leather canoe hp 5, hardness 2 per the module.

Naomi Chadwick |
knowledge: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
crap, I hate swamp water, should have let Jarvis ride in the canoe
as the canoe sinks around her, Naomi calls out.
"Did you boys see that Aquatic ogre in the barn silo? You know the one who through the blasted rock. Looks like were gonna get wet again, Hagrym"
watching Gravy easily swim past, headed toward the bank, Naomi follows along as best she can.
just in case the water is not shallow
swim: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Hagrym |
Swim 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 3 - 2 = 17
Hagrym takes off in a dog paddle behind Gravy and Naomi toward the silo.
"My socks still haven't dried out yet! Stupid swamp," he grumbles as he heads for shore.
brvheart |
That puts you two at the base of the silo. The others are on the rafts not far behind.
Jarvis Ward |
Swim: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Jumping in the water and moving toward the silo,
"Swamps are terrible! Everything here is progressively worse and more efficient at killing us!"
brvheart |
init Shandar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

brvheart |
Shandar will cast force missile at the ogre
force missile damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Galerio |
Galerio will take a crossbow shot at the ogre if possible.
Crossbow shot: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 good grief this dice roller has been bad for me lately
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2
brvheart |
Yeah, some times it really blows in RL also. Last week I rolled 3 1's in a row for the monsters!
Jarvis Ward |
Is there an obvious way onto the roof or does it appear climbable?
brvheart |
The hollow silo is accessible by an underwater entrance at the base, 10 feet below the surface. You had to ask:)
Turvijagal |
"There's probably a way up on the inside to get up to the roof" Turvijagal whispers, so the Ogre can't overhear any plans to get at him.
Turvijagal will stealthily search for a way into the tower and hope that ogre doesn't notice him.
stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31

Naomi Chadwick |
well that's one way to go
seeing the ogre jump out of the silo onto the barn roof ?, Naomi changes her plans and starts to sing a rousing gnome battle-lullaby called "Let Loose the Golems". She then starts to swim toward the nearest raft.
inspire courage, double move, swam 15 ft
swim: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Jarvis Ward |
Skirting the edge of the raft and making his way to the other side of it.
Swim: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
"I am telling you guys, progressively worse as it goes, this is even just barely worse then the leaches, next will be giant leach ogres with spears and rocks!"
Ulfgard Strongarm |
"Ouch that hurt, trollface. Let´s see if you can face dwarven return"
Moving a step closer Ulfgard attacks the ogre.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 231d10 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 71d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
brvheart |
The troll is on top of the barn, but the barn is completely underwater. He is using a reach weapon giving him a 15' reach so to attack him Ulfgard you would need to go through its threat zone.
"Poor" Cyric |
Cyric yells to Ulfgard, "Hold on! How do you say drop in giantish?"
He then blusters at the giant, saying the word carefully and motioning to his weapon.
command spell to drop, it drops whatever it is holding unless making a will save DC 15. Also Ulfgard don't forget the +1 att/dmg from the bardsong.
brvheart |
will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
I can't help the rolls. At least he got the crit here. You want him to re-roll Cyric?
brvheart |
reroll will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Dunno, I might quit.... That ogre really doesn't want to let go of that spear!
"Poor" Cyric |
Holy cow! OK well hopefully that was two less party deaths from ogre crits lol.
Cyric stares blankly at the thing, muttering, "Did I say it wrong..?"
Galerio |
Frustrated, Galerion will cast Gravity Bow and let fly with a powerful shot from his crossbow.
Gravity shot: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 2) + 1 = 6
brvheart |
You will have to 5' step to the other side of the raft to get a clear shot, but that is starting to whittle him down.
brvheart |
aoo on Ulfgar: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (2, 6) + 7 = 15
Jarvis Ward |
Ogre's turn?
brvheart |
I think Turvijagal gets a turn first and Cyric's was an immediate action so he can still go, then it is the ogre. Oops, I posted Shandar's attack in discussion. He will push the raft forward also.
"Poor" Cyric |
Cyric will paddle the raft closer to the ogre so that Turv doesn't have to move through his threatened area, and use his standard action to pull Ulfgard onto the raft.
That way Turv can do his twf. Turv if you roll too low on an attack, I will use misfortune on you so you can reroll one of the attacks.
Turvijagal |
Not seeing any easy way, or time, to get behind the ogre, Turvijagal moves off to one side and fires a crossbow bolt at it.
light crossbow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 101d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
feeling a bit inspired by Naomi's dulcet tones
but not inspired enough, apparently!
also trying to take the ogre's attention away from Ulfgard while Cyric helps him
Hagrym |
Hagrym continues to move ahead, giving the ogre a new target next round, instead of Ulfguard. "Stab at me you coward ogre! I'll cut you down once I get close enough..."
"Poor" Cyric |
Well I was trying to shove it enough to sail turv over where would only need a 5ft step but if he wants to shoot it I can just paddle close enough to get Ulfgard out of the water. And either way Turv gets misfortune and can reroll. If it's possible instead, I will just grab Ulfgard with the touch from a cure spell, to prevent him from sinking but also deliver the cure. I can always pull him onto the raft next turn if I am able to do that. Will roll the cure just in case.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
brvheart |
I think you used your misfortune this round on the ogre if I am not mistaken. Probably best if you cast the spell. Turvijagal, you are swimming so you cannot make it quite that far. Ulfgard is conscious and can pull himself on the raft if he wishes.
"Poor" Cyric |
I should be able to use it after my turn also ,as its immediate so it would just use my swift action for my next turn (the ogre misfortune consumed my swift action for this turn I believe?). But if Ulfgard is up now might be better to save it for his Axe if he decides to swing again. We need to deal more DMG asap before someone ends up getting crit with the way this ogre rolls lol
