Since you now have Mikmek's map and you are not exploring or patrolling a hex, it will take you only 8 hours to approach the ford directly moving to it.

If the others agree, while Oozulla is OOC taking her time and leveling up, and IC taking time for the ritual and so on, the rest of the team can move on searching the tazlwyrm in the ford. (but Szzlax will need to level up and I also noticed his alias is still at level 2 and missing the 1st Mythic tier.)

So as you all may have noticed over the last couple weeks my posting has been rather sporadic. As it stands my life is in a bit of a mess between moving, looking for a new job, some legal proceedings and my wife having recently had a pretty hefty medical procedure. All in all I don't have a lot of mental bandwidth to keep up with my games at the moment and I don't forsee that changing until at least the middle of June if not longer.

As such, to not hold you all up I will step down. Maybe at some point in the future I can join back up with you all. I've had a lot of fun and was really looking forward to seeing how this game progressed but I don't want to hold you all back while I get things sorted in my life.

Firts, I'm being very busy on mine job at school in this weeks, due to some "back-office works and meeting" (I really don't know the proper English word for the "long and boring" meetings between teachers of the same school with a lot of bureaucracy inside those meetings)
Add this to mine Ph.D. thesis on development and you can surely understand why mine posting pace will be more slower than the usual slow rate. I apologize for this inconvenience to all of you!

To Szzlax's player I wish you all the best, and hopefully to see you come back in future. Doors are always opened for the Old Sharptooth's chosen Guardian!
So with the next one IC post I'll put Szzlax "in limbo", meaning an IC situation where he will not be with the party but also from where he could come back anytime in future whenever his player will be back with us again.

This opens another hard question for the remaining players:
leaving the "active" party into a number of 3 PCs, a number not usually sufficient for a normal campaign. What we can do now?
I thought about 3 possible solutions for this:
a) The first is not really a solution, but a consideration: You are a party of 3 active PCs of level 3 but with 1 mythic tier, so we can going on with the actual squad composition, considering the mythic tier as a compensation for the missing team member. (You already have a lot of action economy to fill the gap if I consider your APL properly for the CR of your encounters)
b) We can re-open the recruitment for another player and PC, but in this case it should be hard to define why and how he will be another chosen of Old Sharptooth too (btw, I'll invent something on it if needed)
c) Since Ooz has already said of being interested in having the human bandit as her cohort (via the Squire feat), and Yig said he is interested in taking leadership in future, and I'm waiting for the new Cohorts & Companions book, let's say all of your PCs can gain a cohort (via a free feat) so each of you will have a main PC with mythic tiers and a cohort with less level and not mythic powers.

So, Yig, Ryz and Ooz, what solution do you prefer? a, b, c? Or maybe you have another idea to submit. If so, feel free to post it here.

@Party, sorry, me being flacky last couple weeks. I will be totally out of Internet May, 15 - 18. I am visiting Ropecon - best RPG-focused even in Finland and other northern/east Europe.

@Szzlax, I wish you all the best and hope to see you back.

@GM, Summer is coming. For some people this means more than "Winter is coming" for Starks. My family will ask for more time out there and due to vacation reason, work load will be unevenly distributed with those unlucky, who haven't taken their vacation. I don't know for other, but my posting speed will also reduce until it's over. For example, I have travelling plans for June, 19 - 24th, mid-July, organizing local fest Unicon August, 1st-2nd. Someone, might celebrate the Battle of Agincourt in the end of July. I think, we shouldn't worry about that and just slow post till end of August.

@GM, solutions and my thoughts:
a) Pretty much is what I thought about this. We are reduced number with Mythic tiers and it should compensate lack of party members. A unless the encounter is overwhelming (like, 12 CR2 orc shamans) for our party, probably we can handle that. Mythic is known for being deeply broken. People tend to provide great solutions for fixing that, for example, GM Kiora's Fix.

b) This might be quite clumbersome to make "unknown" kobold to join us. Background-wise, they are very tribe-focused and since we are on noble mission, most likely group wont accept new one on same conditions, like an equal. And I don't know many of players, who are ready to accept unequal position in a game.
Sometimes there are people who are greatly interested in something uncommon. They tend to lurk gameplay threads and discuss things privately with GM. If you happen to meet such person, probably, invite him in game and we can work out a place for him. Otherwise, I don't think it is much beneficial to post a recruitment thread, because it will attract more people expecting to get fast and smooth experience, but we are having our own speed and approach here.

c) Interesting choice, and it should be our primary one. But I'd like to make having Cohorts optional. For example, it is interesting for me, so I decided to follow that up, but if Ryz feels uncomfortable or has any other ideas, he shouldn't be forced.

TL/DR: Some absence is OK. My posting will be flacky till end of Summer. I vote C, A, B solution priority.

Ryzztyl has a decent Charisma and so can take advantage of Leadership opportunities. It actually makes sense, story-wise, if, over time not right away, we start to build up a bunch of followers as our clear and powerful association with Sharptooth becomes more and more evident. That being said, we could just leave the cohorts behind to run things in our absence as we move off to expand our power/kingdom.


@ Ooz: about the next Summer, I really don't know, by now, if it will be a very busy or a very relaxing time. It all depends on mine thesis development and on a bunch of other familiar business I should be able to figure out in the next months. But I can assure you I have no problem in a very slow pace, or even in a complete full pause, of the campaign for the summer time.

@ Party about solution C:
The Squire or some others leadership-like feats (ie. Torchbearer) are IMHO a good opportunity to role-play having at first only one tribal member (cohort) following you, risking his life ans so on, and then a spreading of those followers when the party will level up to the "graduation" point (when the feat became full Leadership feat with Cohort and Followers too).

Also, it fits the transition of "one Tribe becoming an Empire", and you may already know that Pathfinder's rule for Kingdom building requires a lot of (N)PCs to fit all the required rulership positions.

I can easily foresee those position occupied by your main PC and your cohors, and of course the main tribal NPCs (Chief, Mikmek and Nakpik).

Leadership, as feat, also grants your main PCs a (+1) bonus in the kingdom building too.

- The boots depend on what we need. Does Ooz' servant have any stealth from his bandit years?
He haven't had them before and his Dexterity is not very high. Since he is built as Cavalier of the Dragon (Beast Rider, Honour Guard) he doesn't have that on his class list. Currently, his Stealth gonna be +0, so probably he will benefit from the boots, making them +4.

I believe the boots actually give a +5 to Acrobatics. I was thinking Szzlax might use them before he had to step out for a bit. I'm still all for giving them to Ternock as it will help him move about in combat and could counteract armor penalties.

We should see about getting Ternock a longsword and shield at some point.


I'll accurately check Ternock's build tomorrow. At a first sight I saw nothing wrong. I'm fine with the draconic language learned thought the ritual.

About the scrolls, I realized now that all the 4 ones you found are spells in the Witch list.

Actually, he is always 2 lvl lower than Oozulla, so effective lvl1 for now and then.

Horse or camel are not likely choice for him to be riding in underground environment. If we stumble upon something that might be interesting during our adventures I let you know.

My idea was that as soon as he hit level 4 (party lvl7), he will take Giant Scorpion (if our adventures are primarily underground, GM exception for approval required), Tiger or Megaloceros (if our adventures are primarily in wilderness). Probably, he will invest a 3rd or 5th lvl feat to ride undersized mount for that.


I was going to suggest you taking the Undersized Mound at 1st level instead of Combat Reflexes, and have a Cave Salamander (Monster Codex) as medium sized mount.

Cave Salamander AC:

Starting Statistics: Size Medium; Speed 40 ft.; AC +2 natural armor; Attack bite (1d6); Ability Scores Str 13,Dex 12, Con 13, Int 1, Wis 12, Cha 4; Special Qualities darkvision 60 ft.

Since Monster Codex explicitly says about Cave Salamanders and Ryding Pythons Animal Companion: A kobold cavalier can select either of these companions as a mount instead of a dog or pony.
And with Racial Heritage Ternock count as Kobold.

Wow! Cave Salamanders are great, I think I'll go this route and update Ternock with that feat. He still needs to perform 24h ritual to summon his ally, which I believe he can start after we return from the Redscale tribe caves... His mount might be one of the spoils of war, if we encounter them their or he will call for one back in his tribes caverns.


Well, since I proposed it, and we already performed a ritual (although not of 24h), I think Old Sharptooth could give his own blessing to Ternock by sending a Cave Salamander before you meet the redscales :)

I made some updates. The main items I'm missing on here are the rage ring (wasn't sure of the actual name of it to find cost) and the value of the silver amulet). My thought would be to distribute the items of worth (scrolls, magic items, etc) and "donate" all the mundane weapons and armor to the tribe armory. That would leave 405gp for each of us from the actual coins.

Thoughts?

It also seems that we have a mwk spear so Yighuk will give that and a chain shirt to Vek rather than buying one.

Ring of Kin's Rage is a magic item I personally created for the campaign, not something you can find in a table with a price on it.
If you want to sell it, it could be done but an Apprise check will be needed to evaluate it.

The silver stag amulets are from Stag Lord's officers and unless I missed something you should have 2 of them: one from a human bandit Team Eggs encountered, one from the crazy woman named Kressle. They are worth 20 gp each.
