Remember that Wold got Married last weekend (see a few post up) I think he may be busy atm. (and he should enjoy it as much as he can now, since in a few years he won't get Lucky that often !!!)

Yeah, I think we're waiting on him at the moment to do the whole "you leave the inn and arrive at <encounter>" thing, and finalize our roster. I'd rather just know 'this is who's going to be along for the long haul' before we head out since it means we can make strong bonds and cooperate freely without you and mirage having to worry that you attached some plot hook to a character the dm isn't going to keep.

HP: 28/54, AC: 25/T: 13/FF: 22, Perc +7, SM +2, Init +6, F: +7(+8vs poison/drugs)/ R: +5/ W: +3(+4 vs. fear/Mind), CMB: +8, CMD: 23, Speed: 20

Yeah I know Arsil, I was not demanding anything, but simply mentioning it.

Don't worry about the long haul, Ondrea, we're gonna do everything we can at the moment, and worry less about the future.

Not married yet, that will be June 20th, just been busy with all sorts of things. Looking for work, working as a substitute, just had my bachelor party, etc.

Magical iron urn :'bottle of endless sand', sell for 1,500 gp
+1 Shadow chain shirt, sell for 2500
one light steel shield +1, sell for 575
halfplate +1, sell for 875
bracers of armor +1, sell for 1000

6450/3= 2150 gp each. Add this to your character sheet for credit by Cornash.

Sorry Mirage please repost the post. I seem to can't find what you are talking about.

Hp 35/40 AC 23 / 16 / 17 (+5 Perc; +6 Init; Fort +6, Ref +7, Will +5)

You still have a good month to make sure you really want this then :)

Cash Added to arsil and items removed

Ha! I have been dating her for nearly a decade, it is pretty much written in stone. I have been holding out since I have not landed a full time teaching position but since that has not happened we have decided to make a different change.

Arsil where do you have the +4 chain shirt of spell storing being made? It seems a bit pricey for your level.

Hp 35/40 AC 23 / 16 / 17 (+5 Perc; +6 Init; Fort +6, Ref +7, Will +5)

Loot sold and divided:

"Now the total is 17,004.52 gp per person " (ooc post of Aug 17th 2014 Page 17)

Cost of +4 Equivalent armor is 16k and then you have to add the 1k for Mithril

----
10 year nice DM !

So you ordered the +4 Mithril chain shirt of spell storing with Cornash.
It will cost you 26,250 gp. Unless you wanted a +3 with spell storing, that being 17,250.

Hp 35/40 AC 23 / 16 / 17 (+5 Perc; +6 Init; Fort +6, Ref +7, Will +5)

its a +3 spell storing (ie +4 equivalent in price - as written on char sheet for reminder) for 17.250 gp :)

Ok just checking. That should increase your AC nicely and added to your defensive fighting should make you really hard to hit. ;)

Hp 35/40 AC 23 / 16 / 17 (+5 Perc; +6 Init; Fort +6, Ref +7, Will +5)

yup :)

Sure, here you are:

Mirage wants to talk with Cornash to buy two items. He will be interested in the following if any are available: Boots of Speed and Bracers of Falcon's Aim.

Plus, please take a look at this too:

Mirage of the Gray Mountain wrote:
I'm gonna work on a map later this weekend, then. Can you pinpoint some references to where are we on Cheliax? (or is it somewhere else?) Like, where is the Dragon's Draught to begin with?

I really need some guidance to start working on those. Alternatively, I can improvise some landscapes in a drawing and you can put them in place, if you want.

Cornash does not have either of those items on hand but could begin to work on them. Which would you like done first?

I put an arrow in the map to where the Dragon's Draught is roughly located. North of the River Keld.

I think in reference to the map I was thinking was using the information from the campaign and mapping out the fork in the road where the gnolls were killed and the carvan was ambushed, the valley of the dead town, the titan's fiery keep, the table of the fey, the twin peaks goblin town, etc. Basically either just a reference in which direction they are to each other or even the distance/time to travel from place to another.

You start it and we can go from there.

Heyo everyone! Just wanted to let you know, my bachelor party and wedding are quickly approaching.

Enjoy the nuptials. The best advice I can offer to any soon to be bride/groom: Order one of these and some of this. The mix is 2 gallons hot to 4 gallons cold water + the label's directions for salt. Add feet post wedding. Be prepared for incredibly happy spouse.

Good luck!

I thought we were missing someone, post when you can Lyrian. At the moment I guess you are just staying in the back and keeping the horses safe if the group leaves them.

Thanks for the idea Ondrea!

Hp 35/40 AC 23 / 16 / 17 (+5 Perc; +6 Init; Fort +6, Ref +7, Will +5)

Yup as a frequent long distance jogger myself i can vouch for what Ondrea said

So I have issues making a useful post here. It would be great if the party could do something to move us past scaz the goblin.

1 - RAW Ondrea is required by the whole paladin thing to eradicate or redeem evil. So there's ~3 ways out of this scene, but the only one open to Ondrea is shoot Scaz in the face. If you want to redeem him, speak up and claim your goblin cohort, ondrea will grumble but be ok with it. If you want to set him free, use Arsil's distraction and scare him off, Ondrea won't go chasing after him.

2 - I'm assuming Arsil's 'follow me or leave' ultimatum is in character for her, and I'm curious what outcome you want for it? Ondrea could respond either with a put down or snark, but she's not really one to follow orders that fly directly in the face of her code. So which way do you want that to go, which outcome is more fun to play? As far as she knows this is Llocke's show, Arsil is just another member of the band.

Holding my post awaiting discussion so the in character thread reads nice.

HP: 28/54, AC: 25/T: 13/FF: 22, Perc +7, SM +2, Init +6, F: +7(+8vs poison/drugs)/ R: +5/ W: +3(+4 vs. fear/Mind), CMB: +8, CMD: 23, Speed: 20

Well, all due respect, Ash, but I tend to ignore this kind of backstage arrangements. I act with my characters based on how is their behavior, and based on what they know. I completely ignored the first sentence you put in ooc text saying "Either we're redeeming Scaz or we're 'redeeming' scaz". And I did that because there's nothing in game to indicate those are our options. That post had an in character content completely different from the one ooc one. Nothing in your post told Mirage anything about your "needs" to slaughter evil.

Mirage does not know you're a paladin, does not recognize you as a good person and the goblin as evil but quite the opposite. In his point of view you're worse than Sareth at the moment (who's wicked but didn't actually do anything wrong so far), and worse than himself. Take a look at this from his side:
1 - You've encountered a goblin, who did not run back to his merciless evil tribe, but instead tried to share information with us so he could help them, or maybe prevent other goblins from being manipulated by the pretty lady and the man with the dog;
2 - Although he gave us more information than we've had in the three previous encounters, you still want to kill him;
3 - You never mentioned being a paladin, a extremist or anything like that. The example Mirage have from this "characters" is Locke, which carries a holy symbol, but was never so extremist or unfair. Even if he knew what a paladin is, and that people are "good" or "evil", he would still think you're the evil one because of what you're doing.
4 - In the case you had mentioned that the goblin was definitely evil, it could still be said the goo made it, and it didn't have much of a choice.

So, forgive me for putting it this way, but I'm not going to change my actions based on ooc content. If the goblin runs away to magically solve our problems, that's fine. If you wanna debate it IC, that's also fine, but you said you're going to kill the goblin because he's evil, and as far as the story goes, he's been proved more useful than you. You try to kill the goblin for considering it evil, Mirage tries to kill you for considering you evil.

Thank you Arthur. Run free Shaz.

I was trying to give you options on outcomes, because "Just shooting the goblin" is unilateral and not very cooperative. OOC We're a group of people on the internet trying to game together. IC Ondrea/Mirage have branching options on how to handle things. So rather than just assume "This outcome is the first one I thought of, I'll post that" I stopped to let you (and the rest of the party) weigh in.

It's like asking if you want me to move to flank or to leave room for LLocke's pet. Did you want me to take the shot at the goblin, get held up by arsil so the goblin could run off, or get held up by arsil so you could adopt it?

Sorry if that wasn't clear. Also I'm aware that Mirage doesn't know shit. You have him down beautifully as a surly thug. (Well played by the way.) I assumed he'd have all sorts of fun calling Ondrea squeamish about the first neutral bandit she doesn't want to murderhobo, then find out it's the other way around because of course the "Evil" goblin is tiny tim.

Oh well.

Hp 35/40 AC 23 / 16 / 17 (+5 Perc; +6 Init; Fort +6, Ref +7, Will +5)

Paladin Code of Honor:

A paladin must be of lawful good alignment and loses all class features except proficiencies if she ever willingly commits an evil act.

Additionally, a paladin's code requires that she respect legitimate authority, act with honor (not lying, not cheating, not using poison, and so forth), help those in need (provided they do not use the help for evil or chaotic ends), and punish those who harm or threaten innocents.

Associates: While she may adventure with good or neutral allies, a paladin avoids working with evil characters or with anyone who consistently offends her moral code. Under exceptional circumstances, a paladin can ally with evil associates, but only to defeat what she believes to be a greater evil. A paladin should seek an atonement spell periodically during such an unusual alliance, and should end the alliance immediately should she feel it is doing more harm than good. A paladin may accept only henchmen, followers, or cohorts who are lawful good.

---
No where does it say that you have to kill every Evil creature. (see the association of evil to defeat a greater evil)

----
Arsil comment of do as i say or leave is completely in character. She won't fight you over it but she won't work with you (hence the leaving part)

----

Upon reflection and a good nights sleep, drop me. Best of luck.

Sorry to see you go Ash. First dropout! And likely a heroic ending coming up! Paladin charge!

If you hadn't noticed yet, I don't throw into the conversations until I am needed or if directed asked to weigh in.

I do see validity to what Ash was asking in ooc. It makes sense and could be used to help see where people are thinking their characters would be going on a subject rather than just posting their actions in gameplay.

Its a shame to see you go, but it goes to show that paladin's and how to treat their code is one of the most divisive aspects in this game.

The cliff, that the goblin dens/caves are located at, would be 30 feet tall. It appeared to slope down over a course of 80 feet or so. Really it is just a small hill that looks to have been cut out or something like that.

Thanks Sareth, good point, they are all shaken and for the next two rounds as well. I should calculate it in for the next barrage of attacks. If I don't you can remind me. Sorry I am a bit tired and miss a few things here and there.

Scarab Sages

No worries. I'll keep an eye out. Its nice to get the effect out of your spells. Especially when you already negated half the effect with fire resistance. :)

My bed beacons me, I will catch you guys up tomorrow. ;)

Sleep, friends, and family keep me so busy even when I don't work, you know how RL can be with a good life. ;)

Just wondering cause I thought you can't take a 5 foot step between two adjacent foes?

OX -> AX
XA to XO

O = open spot
A = location of asset
X = location of enemy

Checking because I have been having the goblins move around you, otherwise there would be flanking going on this round. The goblins might not be the smartest so I can let it slide but I would like to know if there is a RAW pertaining to this. Thanks!

I don't think there's actually a description on that, but in the games I'm the GM I usually don't allow players to 5-foot-step through two enemies, since that formation should be considered as two allies back to back.

In any case, Mirage's attack did not include the flanking bonus, so even in case there's no such bonus I think I might still hit.

As far as I know, you can by RAW 5' step any time something counts as 5' of movement. The full combat rules: 5 foot step

Now, I have no problem for it not to be allowed as a house rule as I can see the logic. Question is then, is doing such a move while provoking allowed?

Depending on what you decide, how would you wanna play it. Since Mirage didn't apply the flank bonus anyways, maybe we just say that I moved after Mirage and failed to hit the beefy goblin instead. Shouldn't require any change of turns other than that.

It would make sense that you could move through between those two enemies but it would provoke. Then again just a 5 foot step likely you would watch your movement so no AoO.

If it help hits apply it.
