I have never been to GenCon, will have to get there some day. Where is it this year?

Other than that, as I have said, I like your DM style and hope that this campaign is a success. I only hope that people post a little more frequently. I am pretty sure we are a little less than 1/2 way through the first AP. At this rate we are looking at 12 years of playing time. Hopefully we can get it done in less than that although both my kids should be out of the house by then so I will have more time to harass people by the 5th and 6th APs.

Dark Archive

Alexa, yeah, one can only hope. Running a five year AP, online, would be a bit much. I'd expect, at a minimum, some sort of "longest AP ever" award. At the minimum. ;)

This year, Gen Con is in August. It was last year, as well.

Been to GenCon once - 2004. It was certainly a great experience for me. That was just before the great Paizo/Wizards schism I believe.

Alas, at least this year, I won't be attending. Have fun and good luck, RGM.

This has been a great group to read about and particpate in. It would be a pleasure to keep it going for as long as we can manage and enjoy it. As a person who often wears the DM hat in my circle, I certainly have appreciated your willingness to stick with it, RGM. Also - for trying to keep the story fresh.

As for the items, I don't think there's been anything missed by now - certainly sounds like everyone has beat the bushes trying to make sure we got everything covered.

As a fresh pair of eyes, I would like to try my hand at ID'ing what remains to see if it will help. No worries on this from my end; whenever the situation presents itself.

Anyhow, thanks for the feedback on the game, et al.

Seriously, the dice roller hates you guys....

Ugh - seriously worried that the building's going to go up in flames.

"Sorry we blew up yer courthouse, folks. Look at the brightside, there's plenty of fire for the torches you'll use to run us out of town."

Dark Archive

It has actually been pretty kind to me in this scene. Of course it was pretty mean in the last one; couldn't hit that zombie no matter what I did. :P

And don't give up yet Valen; hopefully we'll have a bucket brigade going soon, and it is MUCH easier to make a DC 5 touch attack with a bucket of water than a DC 12 CMB roll to beat the flames out.

Everyone but Madeline has 1 waterskin. Tossing those at the left wall should shut down that fire, then we can concentrate on the big fire.

Half-Elf Male Cleric (Pharasma) 5 - HP: 34/34; AC17, T10, FF17; F+5,R+1,W+8; Per +9; Init +4

Problem is that mine is full of wine - not water. Probably not wise to throw alcohol on a fire. That's why I decided to make for the outdoors and something full of water.

Unless your wine is like 100 proof, I would think that it will put out the fire. And the Courthouse will smell better afterwards. Perhaps you should switch to Cayden.

Actually it is - I use it for "medicinal purposes." *wink* I keed!

Anyhow, too late for now - considering I was headed outside. But if RGM tells me I am stuck inside, then I'll give it a whirl.

Lets move the music and video chat over here, I know I started it on the IC thread, but did not expect so many interesting responses. It is more appropriate on the OOC so that the IC does not become really hard to read. Anyway, here is one more.

As long as we avoid a Fire on High I think we will be ok.

--> I think the music from this song is very fitting for this AP.

Smart call Alexa.

In the meantime, I'm totally jazzed to announce The Shadowlands Conversion Guide, which I co-wrote (and designed) with Chris Merwin (for Black Star Studios) was just nominated for two Ennies (Best Free Product, Best Cartography)! As you might imagine, I'm walking on clouds right now. So, forgive me if I'm a day late on the regular character thread!!

Madeline, would you please stop making uncalled for saves? I know you're trying to create a sense of "how my character might act," but it's really not required. If you want your character to collapse from exhaustion, have her do so. If you want her to run away scared, just do so. There's no need to roll to see if she'll do it. Plus, I'm pretty sure they're wasting a lot of your good rolls on needless rolls (as evidenced by your recent Fort save in which you rolled a 21 then failed a Perception check with a 6).

Looks interesting; nicely detailed intro for PF and Golarion. I am sorely tempted, as I was a huge fan of TOEE (the original module) in the day. Hommlett was my first "real" module as a player. I have DM'd and played the full Temple as well.

Will have to give it some thought to see if I have time to add it. Anyhow - good luck!

Half-Elf Male Cleric (Pharasma) 5 - HP: 34/34; AC17, T10, FF17; F+5,R+1,W+8; Per +9; Init +4

OK - looks like here's what we have.
Three more items are known now, and the scroll remains the only mystery item. Also - no idea on the importance of the box. Maybe it was the Professor's portable humidor. ;-)

I have listed people's name for distribution of some of the stuff. Hopefully, I'm not being biased towards the NPCs on this - if they are joining us. Thoughts on this?

4 Sunrods - Creel, Vaghn, Smith, Valen or Alexa. Not sure, since I don't know who has a light spell, etc.

12 Silver Tipped Arrows - ??

5 Cure Light Wounds Potions - Alexa, Creel, Madeline, Vaghn, Valen (or I can give mine up for Kendra/Tharnik)

2 Scrolls of Hide from Undead - Vaghn, Madeline

1 Scroll of Detect Undead - Valen. With Alexa's abilities, not sure it is critcial.

10 Arrows +1 - ??
5 Ghost Touch Arrows +1 - ??

Vials of Holy Water - One for each us, if there's that many.

2 Potions of Lesser Restoration - Creel, Valen (or Tharnik)

2 Undead Bane Arrows +1 - ??

1 other scroll - unknown so far
a thin darkwood case decorated with an image of a scarab with a single eye glaring from its back. Not magical.

@RGM: Forgot to ask, how many vials of Holy Water?

*About now that a Ranger might have been a good choice. ;-) Anybody going to pick up the bow, please advise.*

Yeh - if some of them were bullets instead of arrows, I could use them. I think the only ones with proficiency in bow are Madeline and Creel.

And neither of us own or can afford one. Sigh.

Creel will take the arrows. Maybe we will find a bow or some cash on the way.

btw I dont think we ever opened that case.

Has anyone asked the good sheriff if he might have a longbow or shortbow available? I know that he had some equipment - but not a scimitar for me. Also, I think that bards can also use shortbows.

I did ask RGM what was in it - just waiting for a further answer. I think Rendel or Vaghn opened it and found it empty - but I want to make sure I read that correctly.

Asking the sheriff may be the way to go. Fingers crossed.

Everyone OK with the distribution plan - give me an 'aye' or 'edit'. Then I will go ahead and note in the group stash list.

Yep. Unless you have something else you want to speak up for.

Dark Archive

Sounds fine. And yes, Creel, Madeline, and Vaghn are proficient with bows. As to who would be best served using one, I do not know.

Dark Archive

The thin darkwood case contained the arrows. It's not magical, nor has any other uses. Sorry.

Half-Elf Male Cleric (Pharasma) 5 - HP: 34/34; AC17, T10, FF17; F+5,R+1,W+8; Per +9; Init +4

Thank you for the clarification - I thought it was something different and seperate from the arrows.

Also - noted a question above. I don't think I've ever seen how many vials of holy water there are. Can you let us know, please?

Have a good day.

Dark Archive

4 vials

Half-Elf Male Cleric (Pharasma) 5 - HP: 34/34; AC17, T10, FF17; F+5,R+1,W+8; Per +9; Init +4

OK - thanks.

So everyone except Valen has a vial of holy water.

So recap for your sheets:

Alexa - Sunrod, CLW potion, Holy Water Vial
Creel - Sunrod, CLW potion, Lesser Restoration Potion, Holy Water Vial, All Arrows
Madeline/Smith - Sunrod, CLW potion, Hide from Undead Scroll, Holy Water Vial
Vaghn - Sunrod, CLW potion, Hide from Undead Scroll, Holy Water Vial
Valen - CLW potion, Detect Undead Scroll, Lesser Restoration Potion

The case and the unknown scroll remain behind for the time being.

Hope that sounds good. Otherwise, I think we are ready to go.

If madeline wants the bow she should take it and the arrows. Creel can use them but we want to keep the squisies out of combat.

*EDIT* Hmmm looks like the only person who can use a longbow in creel.
Well now that that issue is resolved.
