"Eww...! If this is kitchen, the meal must have put up quite a fight... Not nice, I'm not sure I would like to meet the dining guests." Roudantaimi says, engrossed, and continues: "But Artie is right, we should investigate this level thoroughly, before continuing. Who knows if there's another set of matching gemstones we need"

The gnome guides Tahmatassu onwards. The lizard sniffs the bloody tools, and gives them a lick with its tongue. Impassively, like a cold-blooded creature he is, the gecko stops and waits for further instructions. On its back, Roudantaimi looks slightly nervous, keeping one hand on reins, while the other holds the musket.

Roudi has a pretty slow rate of fire until he has enough fame for a double-barreled pistol. Maybe I'll need to buy a backup weapon while waiting that. Oh, and Roudi has healing (lay on hands) also, if Poochie has better use for his spells. They're not as effective, but anyway

"Yikes, hordes of goblins!!! Tactical retreat, Tahmatassu!", Roudantaimi yells to his mount, and guided by it's rider, the gecko moves away from the goblin's immediate vicinity. The pair starts going around the wall of allies, when the gnome spots the odd winged creature. "Oi, friends! Enemy in the flank, I'll try to fend it off!" As he speaks the warning, the barrel of the musket is already pointed at the creature.

Jaender gets the feeling that his exemplary melee companions are up to something sneaky, and runs into the room, hoping to help them out.

Seeing how crowded it is, an idea pops into his head. He quickly dismisses the light being cast by his wayfinder, and begins waving his hands. Suddenly the little shadowy wayang disappears from all view. Cast vanish

Unseen by anyone, he creeps into the room to get into a better position.

Fury's Toll | MotD

Two problems... 1) Light is not dismissible, as it does not have the (D) on the duration. Second, dismissing a spell takes a standard action. However, dropping your wayfinder is move-equivalent action. Also, those dotted lines are the cages... you can only enter them through the doors. I have moved Jaender back, and I assume he dropped his light source on the ground. He can get a single 5' step, which should put him where he is. We'll retcon, if needed.

After Ophiuchus fails to hit a goblin, and Jaender disappears, the other goblins attack!

First, Chuffy moves to his right, and then attacks the lighter armored Vox (who is also flat-footed -- these goblins seem to be showing a better tactical acumen, maybe they are more intelligent as well as mutated?).

claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 and hits again: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Vox is now in dire straights!

Poog attempts to tumble by Arturo acrobatics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19, and, amazingly gets by the rogue! He also attacks the hapless hunter, though he can only slash once with his claw.
claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Luckily for Vox, the claw bounces off the mail that the youth is wearing.

Finally, Mogmurch seems to be delaying, waiting for an opening. He wonders why he got the rubbery mutation, and not the one that would let him climb walls... that would have been cool!

Einhardt, Arturo, Vox, and Sven are up. Einhardt, who is on guard action, desparately wants to bite Rita!

In his hands, he still clutches the enormous lucerne hammer, hoping one his ally will kill the creature sticking to him and allow him to step far enough away to begin swinging.

Seeing Vox staggering from his wounds, the wolf looks frantically for a way into the fight. Seeing no way to directly help Vox, preferably by tearing the little, annoying monstrosities limb from limb, she releases a low, throaty growl and sprints around the table to attack the only goblin she has access to.

Alternate Action:
If Arturo tumbles through the chief's square successfully, Einhardt will instead 5-foot step into Arturo's previous square, rather than running around the table. In this case, Einhardt would be flanking the chief with Arturo, and her total 'to hit' roll would be 15 vs. AC, and dealing an additional 1d6 ⇒ 1 damage for a total of 11 damge total (if the hit is successful)

Okay, so never done this with so many opponents before, but my acrobatics is high and I having played some goblins recently, I strongly suspect their CMD is low. Really low, I'm hoping!

Arturo pretends like he is going to strike at the chief goblin low, but instead leaps up and over his head. Poog and Rita both try to assail the Varisian rogue, but (I'm hoping with a roll like that) they come up short.

Turning to use the training he and Vox have spent the last few weeks completing, Arturo until the chief is distracted by the other man's waving weapon and then dives in to take advantage of an easy opening.

Attacking the Chief.

So, can Einhardt have stepped into Arturo's old position with a 5-foot step then? In this case, she would be providing flanking with Arturo and she has the precise strike feat, which allows both she and Arturo the extra 1d6 damage. And since Vox is grappled (I assume he is grabbled, based on the descriptive text above), he probably cannot threaten with a 2 handed weapon, as such, Einhardt will have to flank with Arturo in his stead.

Yea, I thought dismissing a spell was a free action, totally wrong on that account. Dropping an item, however is a free action, though if I can't move where I was planning, I wouldn't have cast vanish and would have not needed to drop the wayfinder anyways. The easy retcon would be to just use one of my fire spit abilities (point blank + precise shot). would that be ok? Jaender's goal would have been to make Arturo's tumble easier, so probably would have aimed at Reta

If Fire spit retcon is ok:

Fire spit, ranged touch, PB: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 for Fire Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

I thought Vox could threaten, but forgot about the two-handedness thing. Yes, if Arturo needs to, he'll wait for Einhardt!

Human (Minnesotan) Rules Lawyer 4, GM 5!

As Einhardt technically moves before Arturo, I am going to say no. He would not have delayed, as his master in in peril!
@Jaender - that's fine. You are spitting through cover, though, which almost causes you to miss.
@Vox -- ready is a standard action... so you cannot hold your move action.

I am trying to untangle this in turn order, so give me a moment. ;)

Einhardt runs around, and attacks the goblin, but in his anguish, he misses. Arturo then tries to dramatically tumble through the "chief's" area... +5 to Chief's CMD, +2 to Reta, +4 to Poog. Rita does not threaten. He flips himself over the chief, startling all the goblins enough with his bold move that he does not provoke any attacks. He then hits the chief, but without precision damage or flank, dropping him with his slashing weapon.

Morgmurch then acts (taking his delayed action), moving up and attacking Arturo.
claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

He misses, twice.

Taking some liberties here, but I am assuming you won't mind.
Then, Strong Brute takes a step up, and swings at the goblin holding Vox. His mighty swing cuts the goblin almost in half, freeing Vox.

Roudi is now up, then the "Fast goblins".

There is an FAQ entry about this. It seems complicated, but once you get it, its not. You have to make an acrobatics check for each enemy you are trying to prevent an AoO from. Each successive one is at a cumulative +2 to the DC. You get to chose which order you roll them in (ie, pick the hardest one first). There is also a good explanation on the message boards that quotes the FAQ. The more you know.

oops! Bad GM
Keeping with their tactical acumen, the goblins attack.
Poog attacks Vox, the wounded.
claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 claw damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Then Chuffy does the same
claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23crit confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Vox goes down in a pool of blood, bleeding.

The goblins chortle at Arturo's interesting verbiage.

Einhardt runs over to stand over his fallen Master, and attack the goblin who put him down, his anger taking over.
Bite w/ Power Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 This misses Chuffy, but Einhardt stands there, growling.

Arturo, then Mogmurch.

Arturo twists and turns past Reta and Mogmurch to flank Poog with Einhardt, then uses his finely honed scimitar to slice the ridiculous looking little sh*t (who looks like the type who would waste a fireball just to win a competition and use his powers against his friends, too!).

Acrobatics vs Reta (DC=CMB): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Acrobatics vs Mogmurch (DC=CMB+2): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

Is that correct up there?

Technically vs. CMD not CMB, but yeah.
Reta slashes at Arturo as he moves by.

Due to the hard corner of the cells, Poog gets an opportunity, too
Arturo acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Poog AOO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 (also misses).

Arturo then attacks through the bars of the cages (which grant cover), and misses as his scimitar bangs on one of the bars (sorry).

Then Mogmurch goes. He moves up to Sven, and attacks
attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 and HE misses!

Looks correct to me! One other important note to remember, if it wasn't already clear, you only have to make one check per enemy, per round. ie, you don't have to make 5 checks if you run in a half circle around an enemy and go through 5 squares.

"Vox! Rudi! Do something!" Jaender squeals, feeling a little helpless as he sees his friend go down to the claws of the little beasties.

After the Strong Brute brutally chops into Mogmurch, Roudi forgets about his gun, and moves to heal Vox. As he currently does not have a healing wand, he calls upon the power of Sheylin, laying hands on the fallen hunter.

"I'll help him, I'll help him! Clear out the gobbos!" Roudantaimi shouts, trying to make his voice heard. He prepares to heal the young hunter once there's no immediate threat from the goblin.

I don't dare to heal Vox if there's multiple goblins threatening him. In worse case scenario, I'll bring him up to 1hp, and he'll be free target for full attacks... I do believe unconscious targets cannot be targeted while there's buddies still fighting. (Or maybe it's just a fair play tradition in our local games... Anyway, delay until Vox's turn

I probably Cyrus'd you there with the botting, so you've already healed him. Luckily, to exactly 0, so he is still out of it! In this case, I don't think it'll be an issue.

They are wearing leather armor... but these are advanced goblins. Also, no flank since Roudi isn't threatening. Sorry.

Einhardt just missed the goblin... almost as if his power attack was the cause. Arturo, however, slashes into Poog, staggering the goblin.

Roudi pours some powder down the barrel of his gun, then grabs a square of cloth, rolling a bullet into it, and then rams it down the barrel of the gun after the powder. A tiny bit of powder goes into the priming pan, and he is ready to shoot once more.
