The second creature races towards Ri'el with preternatural speed, and attacks in a flurry of claws and teeth. Ri'el manages to dodge the bite and first claw, losing nothing but torn clothing, but the last claw rakes along his thigh.

Arenya seeing that the two creatures are close, pulls out a small bit of butter and flings it towards them. It lands with a splat at their feet and spreads unnaturally wide forming a slick on the ground. Neither of them seems affected by the suddenly greasy ground.

Ri'el, you can make an AOO with your hair as the ghoul closes

The creatures speed and ferocity caught Morgrym off guard but that didnt slow his assault in the least "Time to show them what we are made of lads! take these disgusting things down! and with that Morgrym once again raises his axe and strives again to damage these fiendish creatures

feel i should point out that i only took 3 damage, stonelords get DR/adamantine = to half their level starting at level 2, no biggie there though.

Actually, Ri'el is not going to use his hair yet. He can only use it twice per day for a minute each time, and he wants to be able to fight when they do find Sandara.

"At least we can be sure none of these things once Sandara, though if there are things like these on the island, we need to find Sandara quickly!" Ri'el hisses as he takes a step back, pulls forth his crossbow and fires.

The grease should prevent the ghoul from 5-ft stepping to me next round. Which is a good thing since it is a whole damn full round action to reload!

Astein calls unluck upon the second whore, glaring with malevolence then letting loose with his battle laugh.

Twang! Twang! say the goblin arrows flying at the nearest creature.

Garavaen asks, "Anyone know about these things? Normal bolts good enough to kill them?", as he moves toward Eli to try to line up a shot.

Crossbow: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 1 = 7 Ugh. Less than ideal.

Trying to keep a relatively clear line of attack between her and the creatures, Davina moves and unleashes another ray of divine fire in the hopes this one will hit her target.

Heavenly Fire: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 91d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Ri'el's crossbow fires with a loud clack, and the bolt streaks forward taking the undead whore through the neck. Garavaen fires, but his bolt flies wide of the target. Astein glares at the strange woman trying to curse her with unluck, but she seems to shrug it off with an effort. (Being undead wasn't unlucky enough?)

Eli's bowstring thrums twice and two arrows streak forward taking the thing in the chest. The undead whore drops to the ground, unmoving. Morgrym starts his swing, and in the midst of changing targets, swings wide of the second whore.

Davina glows a slightly golden glow and the energy flows off her body in a ray that marks a scorch mark along the second undead whore's body, and the creature's shriek fills the air. Moving carefully through the grease, the second whore closes on Ri'el who is trying to reload his crossbow. The undead woman bites down on Ri'el's neck in a mockery of an intimate embrace. To his horror, Ri'el feels his limbs stiffen, and he cannot move!

Arenya starts a battle march song that lifts the spirits of the group.

To the group's concern, they notice two more of the hideous women trying to hide amidst the ground covering near the tree, looking as if they meant to sneak up on the party.

Astein changes focus onto one of the uninjured whores and wills unluck upon it, continuing his battle cackle.

Seeing the undead woman embrace Ri'el, focuses Eli who snaps off two shot, one that catches the woman in the head, and drives her off of Ri'el and into the dirt, unmoving. Astein keeps up he unnerving cackle and catches the gaze of one of the whores, who seems to shrink away from the witch's stare.

One of the whores moves up to Eli and tries to bite him, but clearly the small size of the goblin is confusing and the foul teeth catch only air.

Round 2

Garavaen quickly cycles a new bolt into his weapon and raises it, the action completely automatic and freeing his mind to find another target as Eli's arrows cause the near one to fall. He quickly turns on his heel to face the new, sneakier thing creeping in from the south, and as soon as the bolt lines up with the target, he fires.

Crossbow: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 16 for 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 1 = 7

Seeing Ri'el's body stiffen and drop to the ground Morgrym gets angry and shouts at the creatures "Listen up you ugly smelly wenches! You hurt me friend, now im gunna hurt you!" And with that Morgrym hefts his axe and charges at one of the creatures, hoping to hold it off while the others back him up

Garavaen swiftly and smoothly changes targets and his bolt slam through the whore to the south, eliciting a hiss of rage from the creature.

Morgrym marches forward and slams his axe home on the whore to the north, cleaving the meat off of its right arm. The thing screeches at him, and attacks. The bite that looked sure to take out Morgrym's neck, falters as if something pushed it aside, and it lands only a bit on his shoulder. Morgrym feels the magic of the bite try to slow his limbs but shrugs it away like an afterthought.

At the same time, another creature, slightly larger, and in an oddly disgusting way, slightly more alluring, as if she would have been greatly desired, were she still living, drops to the ground from the boughs of the trees, and looks over the group.

"Eat them all, except this one, she purrs, looking at Davina, "she reminds me of the red one that got away with the other ship. She'd make a fine addition to the brothel.

Astein concentrates his unluck upon the newly arrived leader, glaring deeply at it as his dark laughter continues.

Misfotune cackle...

Eli evades the snapping teeth of the she-beast with a deft backwards tumble. He rolls to his feet next to Davina and sends two blunt-headed arrows to slap against the nearest whore's ribcage. He glances at the Aasimar, "Best stay behind me."

~ Round 3 ~

Repulsed by the very thought of what the creature has suggested, Davina pauses briefly and then realizes the implications of the monstrosity's words, "Red one, what do you mean the red one who looks like me?" Davina sends another blast of holy fire into the nearest creature, then moves quickly behind Eli once more.

Heavenly Fire: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 151d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

"Mmmphffffmmmphfffmmmmpf," Ri'el mutters unintelligbly from the ground as his body refuses to move.

Which is the "leader" on the map, Shathira? Trying to figure out if Garavaen has a clear shot.

Why, where all good villainous leaders are, Garavaen. In the back! ;) You do have a clear shot. It's #5. If you zoom in once or twice the numbers become apparent. I'll make them bigger next time.

Garavaen's attention is turned to the newcomer, and he raises his crossbow in response, "I taste terrible, and my steel will get stuck in your teeth," as he snaps off a shot.

Eli snaps off two quick shots at the nearest whore, and the blunt arrows thump into the woman's midsection with an audible crack, and the creature wobbles a bit, as she starts to move towards Eli with fingers outstretched. Her movement is halted just as she brings her mouth down on Eli's arm by a golden ray of light cast from Davina, which catches the woman full in the face and snaps her backwards, where she lands unmoving.

Astein glares at the newcomer, and the air seems to coalesce around her, and she seems much more uncertain before she moves towards Davina and Eli. When she does, the rotting flesh and perfume stench that comes off of her fills the air, and nostrils of everyone around her. Eli and Garavaen manage to hold down feelings of sickness, but Davina is overwhelmed by the stench. To prove just how much he's revolted, Garavaen snaps a shot off at the whore, punching a bolt clean through her torso.

The whore leers at Garavaen, "Oh not nice, pretty. I'll savor the marrow from your bones for that." and then bites at Eli, and it looks as if doom is descending on the goblin, when the whore reels back, "Stop that accursed laughter!" and snarls.

Arenya (GM BOT) continues to chant her sea shanty to bolster everyone's courage.

Garavaen instinctively reloads, then raises his bow again.. only to track the evil thing as she closes on Eli. Don't want to hit the goblin, he thinks and closes his eyes, mentally removing the obstructions between the bolt and it's target, then opens them again and fires, grumbling, "I'm not all that easy to kill... Or all that pretty. "

Arenya continues her sea shanty, inspiring those around her. She steps up with her dagger in hand and attempts to strike at the creature before her.

Attack: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4 for Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4

I believe that is my last round of bardic performance for the day.

Astein continues his maniacal battle laughter, though it is interrupted after a unusually loud burst, when his jaw widens into the semblance of a violent scream - though no sound emerges, leaving him laughing again just moments later.

Morgrym now fully engrossed in the battle grits his teeth and continues to swing, his axe a constant threat to these horrible creatures

Davina, seeing the one who wants her turned come after Eli demands again, "What 'Red One' you monster! Who was she?" Davina sends another gout of heavenly fire out, the time at the lead whore before moving further away.

Having trouble moving my piece from my phone but I'm moving up behind the main part of our group.

Morgrym swings at the ghoulish whore and narrowly misses as the creature slips to a side. In a flurry of teeth and claws, the creature manages only to gouge Morgrym's armor and shield. Arenya slips around the side of the fight and slashes at the thing, but misses. After her attack, her chant comes to an end.

Astein opens his mouth unnaturally wide and appears to scream, but you hear nothing. The lead whore seems to hear something, but shakes off the effects, and attacks Eli. Again, her bite and one of her claws look like they would have connected, but Astein's laughter distracts her, and only one claw connects leaving a slash along his arm, Eli finds himself unable to move after the attack.

She looks at Davina with a horrible grin, "The red one with wings. You remind me of her. We would have had such fun together. As she finishes, Garavaen's bolt slams into her chest.

Hoping that the little goblin can survive, Davina sends another burst of holy fire at the whore that has attacked him before saying, "Her wings, were they batlike?" Her fire unleashed she moves further away.

Heavenly Fire: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 161d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Astein continues his battle laughter as he moves towards the fray, his hair beginning to flair around him.

"Batlike and precioussss." The whore licks her lips lasciviously with her blackened tongue, in a macabre, revolting mockery of lust. "I would have given her an eternity to use humans as playthings, and food. It would have been ssssooo delicious." She then recoils as Davina's ray of golden light scorches a line across her face, leaving it marred as tattered flesh hangs from the bones.

side note, are these creatures undead? i dont remember a knowledge check being thrown at us? undead are imune to none leathal so we couldnt take one for interigation withought alot of personal danger

Question, Shathira. If I was paralyzed by Whore 5, I would still get my Round 4 attack before that happened, right? Or is she striking with Whore 3 before my turn?

Eli, you're correct, you'd get your attack first. Morgrym, yes they are undead.

Eli maintains his disciplined retreat, falling back toward the team and sending blunt-head arrows at the rather talkative undead. Unfortunately, the winds turn against him as his limbs freeze up from the whore's raking claws.

She does look like she's in really bad shape though.

Round 5, top of the initiative

Focused on taking out the undead beast in front of him Morgrym yells at the others "that wench o'er there knows something, you cant knock an undead out so we may need to do something to get what she knows outta her! hey! tell us where our friend went and we will let you live!"

with that last line he chops again for the whore in front of him

Battle cackle sounding, Astein shifts position further and lashes out with his hair at the whore standing over Eli's paralyzed form.

Yes he's still in melee. Also, even if you have questions, please post an action, if there are any adjustments to the roll we can make them. Otherwise it makes the combat drag on longer.

As Astein comes up to try to pummel the ghoulish whore with his hair, the stench of rot and perfume overwhelms him sickened, and his blow with his hair falls far wide of the mark.

The whore then moves to attack Astein, who makes another flailing attempt to strike the creature, but misses. The whore attempts to bite the witch, but again his insane sounding cackle seems to cause her to avert her head, and the bite goes wide.

Garavaen raises his crossbow, hoping to prevent his small friend from becoming the dead-thing's appetizer. He begins to focus his concentration, then stops as it starts to give him a headache... Not sure I can do that again... Better save t for when things get dire...

Going pale from the stench, Astein continues to cackle hoarsley as his hair whips around again attempting to slam into the ghoul whore.
