GO ROWAN GO!

As Rowan departs Julian bites his lip. If she was felled in the room beyond she'd be alone and all on her own...

It wasn't a thought he was happy with, it caused a long hidden fear to dredge its way up in his mind once more. It won't happen again! He gripped Einherjar and prepared to engage the damned cultist leader in the coming struggle to help Rowan avoid the woman's mad scythe...

Overprotective will hurt if one of you goes down outside my reach! xD

The woman let out a shriek as Rowan bounced around the area like an imp on crack, finally turning around and slicing out at the Paladin as she reappeared.

Melee: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15
Melee: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

The second strike was closer than the first, but neither quite managed to hit, and exhaustion continued to plague her as she put every effort into swinging her scythe and trying to do something - anything - that would make a difference.

Round 7

Tarov grins as the woman's blows are wide of Rowan. "I said I'm th' one ya should be worryin' 'bout, lass!" he roars, settling into his defensive stance in an attempt to keep her in place.

Tarov maintains Inspire Courage (free action), activates his ranseur's special ability (swift action), takes a 5ft. step so he's on the opposite side of the woman from Rowan, then enters Defensive Focus (full-round action).

Round 7

Ditto Julian, packing my bag after typing this so spotty posting until tomorrow.

MA: Move towards Caged Wardstone Piece.
Melee Touch Attack with Rod of Cancellation: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Interstellar movie reference- What happens now? :O

Rowan moves recklessly for the Wardstone piece, hoping that against all odds she could reach it without being stopped. She tries to touch the wardstone fragment with the tip of the Rod of Cancellation. Knowing that if she could perhaps they could be victorious...

In the name of Kenebras and in the name of the Inheritor I cannot fail!

Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

The twisted woman's scythe clattered against the stone as Rowan darted across the room and pushed the rod forward, aiming to burn out the magical energies within it.

Will DC 23: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21

The magics protecting the stone were powerful, but they finally gave way to the energies contained within the rod, and a small crack appeared in the surface of the stone. The wardstone physically exploded a moment later, a blast of golden light and a sound like a choir of angels singing erupting from it as thousands of shards of stone shot in every direction.

Damage from Shards: 20d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 6, 5, 2, 3, 6, 5, 2, 3, 6, 4, 6, 1, 1, 5, 5, 6, 3, 6) = 84

Hundreds dug into the flesh of the woman you'd been fighting, cutting her to shreds, but not a single fragment touched any of you as the remaining pieces embedded themselves in the wall of the room. The expanding light hit you a moment later, washing over your bodies.

You are Stunned until further notice.

The room vanished from sight a moment later, replaced by a vision of the land before you. If all of the holy energies used by the Wardstones were a dam, then the fragment you just destroyed was like a plug holding the power back - but the power didn't simply defuse. In a single instant, all the power that had been stored up shot out from where the last piece of Kenabres' wardstone had been, passing through you and then into the barrier the wardstones held up.

You have reached Level 5. Level up immediately - you are fully healed and all abilities are fully restored, though you're still Stunned.

Golden light began to shine from your bodies, but even that was barely noticeable compared to the ongoing vision - across the entire border, every wardstone flashed, and for a single instant the power of the barriers was multiplied dozens of times over. Thousands of demons were instantly annihilated by its power, and even more were grievously wounded. The attacks faltered, then stopped as demons across the Worldwound began to retreat... and they don't see the Wardstones fall completely inert, drained of their power, nor do they see the cheers of the defenders as the demons are driven back.

Male Dwarf Defender 12 [ HP: 209/209 THP: 0/0 | AC: 24, T: 12, FF: 24 | CMD: 31 | F: +17, R: +14, W: +18 (+5 vs. spells and SLAs, +3 vs. poison) | Init: +8, Per: +26 | 1: 7/7, 2: 7/7, 3: 5/5, 4: 4/4 | DDP: 0/36, GB: 12/12, MP: 5/5, P: 10/10, SM: 9/9, SR: 12/12 ]

Tarov blinks in surprise, but the rest of his body refuses to acknowledge his thoughts. 'What is goin' on?' he thinks to himself, unable to vocalize while frozen in place.

The first vision had barely faded when a new one took its place. This time, its focus was on Kenabres, when the wardstone was first being erected here in the Kite in 4639 AR. The ritual of setting the wardstones into place included the participation of the Hand of the Inheritor - the herald of Iomedae, a golden, winged angel with a halo of small swords around his head. This happened shortly after the beginning of the Second Crusade - and it was a good thing it had, given how hard the demons had struck the wards over the years. If they hadn't been present, evil would undoubtedly hold sway over a much larger part of the Inner Sea.

As Rowan reached the wardstone Julian sighed in acceptance as the wardstone exploded outward, as the shards tore through their vile foe. No way I will make it through this... Its been a great journey... Thank Desna I made it this far... He closed his eyes only to be shocked to not feel any pain and a feeling of weightlessness. He opened his eyes and witnessed the destruction of the wardstone barrier, the demons and everything was amazing. Though he was frozen in place his mind was engaged and taking everything in...

The light that started to shine from his body failed to distract him from what he was witnessing! If I survived this than I can hopefully find her!

Later

History had always amazed him and to witness it in such grand detail was a treasure he could never repay...

Rowan didn't flinch, believing that the destruction of the wardstone would annihilate her, but when the blast did nothing and the world fell away she suddenly regretted leaving the sword behind.

Rowan was in awe of what she was seeing, history in its greatest detail. Places she missed, moments she would have treasured for their knowledge would reveal something she most likely had missed. As the light surged forth from her body she remained in awe of everything that was occurring.

Later

Seeing the Inheritors Herald made her heart swell with pride for the great things her goddess and her chosen heralds had done. She continued to watch, to take in and learn from the past so that they could save the future...

The visions continue to overwhelm your mind with images of the past. In the year 4665 AR - how you even know this is unclear, you simply do - you see the sight of a 20-year-old Hulrun leading the burning of dozens of supposed " witches" in the courtyard of the Kite before the wardstone. This event launches the Second Crusade in earnest. Unfortunately, though the wardstones helped to protect the borders, this was a mission that would ultimately be deemed a failure as little true harm was done to the demons and Sarkoris was ultimately abandoned.

Meanwhile, at the edge of your consciousness, you can tell that something - or someone - is suddenly paying a great deal of attention to you.

Tarov watches the events unfold with stoic curiosity. It is not until the sense of being watched comes upon him that he begins to worry, but the knight realizes there is little he can do about it in his current state. 'Can only hope no one tries t' start somethin' while I'm stuck like this...'

Seeing the burning's dredged up a long simmering hate in Julian's heart, he had fought with the men in the second crusade, resisted the Inquisition in the third and was himself nearly executed for his actions. His hate was short lived as another presence caused him to become wary. Not much I can do about it...

Rowan shudders at the sight of burnings remembering her hand in them and hating her naivety at the time. Believing that she was doing good when she was actually harming innocent people. It wasn't until her clash with the Tiefling Crusader Julian and how her investigation led to a lone walk inside the Righteous Hand tavern. She remembered the look the former crusaders of the Second Crusade gave her. It had been a known nest of resistance and had she dared challenge them she most likely would have been crushed in a breath by the armed and wary men there...

Her melancholy was banished by the rising hairs on her neck as she felt like she was being watched...

The visions continue to flood into your mind, one after the other. The next is from the year 4692, when you see Khorramzadeh the Storm King leading a brazen attack on Kenabres. The Storm King manages to strike a resounding blow with his sword against the wardstone, which suffered only the tiniest of cracks as the balor's sword shattered against it. Still, it was a crack, and the first true damage done to the great barriers that had kept the demons at bay. Khorramzadeh was then attacked and forced to flee when the silver dragon Terendelev nearly killed him - this event launched the Fourth Crusade, which would continue on for another fifteen years.

The sense of being watched is growing steadily stronger, though there's nothing else about it you can perceive.

Khorramzadeh... He must die. If I survive this profound moment I will endeavor to destroy their hold on my homeland and to atone for my many sins...

The next vision comes even faster than the previous ones. In the year 4712 AR, you see Irabeth chasing a burly dwarven man - Staunton Vhane, leader of the Hammers of Heaven mercenary group - into the courtyard containing the wardstone. Both paladins are heavily wounded, and as Staunton backs against the wardstone, smoke rises and he screams in pain. He ducks to avoid one of Irabeth's blows, then manages to smash her knee with his hammer, dropping her to the ground. Staunton seems ready to deliver a death blow, but the sound of approaching soldiers forces him instead to back away and summon a fiendish giant wasp that he swiftly mounts and then flies away to the north, abandoning Kenabres. This was a defining moment in Irabeth's life, and a significant part of what ultimately led to her acceptance among the people of the city. People's fears often got the best of them, but in the end, true nobility and honor would shine through any amount of darkness that tried to cover it.

Another vision follows right on the heels of the prior. You see Minagho, a beautiful demonic woman with a long thin tail, clawed hands, and curling horns protruding from where her eyes should be, placing the wardstone fragment in this very room... and of Jeslyn using a wish granted by Minagho to create the cage around it before Minagho teleports away. Bit of a waste, all things considered, given how easy it was to destroy the wardstone once you got the rod of cancellation close enough.

Rowan sometimes forgot that she was older than Irabeth, mainly because Irabeth was far wiser than her years. More grounded, commanding such respect for her hard work, dedication and belief's. She was proud to be her sword sister as she had many times sought her council over the years. But now she knew Staunton Vhane and she marked him for capture. He'd be brought before Irabeth and brought to justice.

The next vision revealed another foe and the face of Faxon's master. Minagho, despite her beauty she was a horrible creature and one to be feared for her immense power. However she too would be brought low...

Tarov scowls at the dwarf who clearly has fallen, disgusted at him for being swayed by the forces of darkness. 'Damned fool. Ain't nothin' worth what yer payin'...,' he grumbles in his own mind.

One last vision flashes through your minds, and the moment it does, you realize this is something that will never happen. Within it, you see Areelu Vorlesh using a deep purple Nahyndrian crystal the size of a human's head to corrupt the fragment, causing the entire border to flash with nauseating mauve fire that devastates the border cities and transforms countless crusaders into half-fiend slaves of the Worldwound. This was the true goal of the attempt to corrupt the wardstones, and the attacks all along the border were nothing more than a ruse to draw in as many defenders as possible so the damage would be maximized.

As the last vision fades, an infernal woman appears in the air before you - Areelu herself, and she does not look pleased. Yet she seems to be... transparent, somehow, like she's not truly present. "This only delays your kind's extinction. But at least I can take steps to hasten your own!" she spat out furiously, raising a hand and sending out what Rowan and Julian were able to recognize as a Mass Suffocation spell. The magic shattered the instant it touched the golden light still surrounding your bodies, and the witch hissed in irritation. "The death throes of your wardstone seem to be protecting you from my magic. No matter. They cannot protect you from my slaves!"

She raised her hands, and a tear in reality opened, leading right into the abyss. Six Babau - red-skinned, emaciated demons - tumbled out of it and into the room. Behind them, you could see far larger and more fearsome demons - Vrocks, Glabrezus, even a Marilith all looking at you with hatred in their eye. That sense of being watched moved from you to the portal... and the energy infusing each of you erupted out in a blast of golden light, crashing into the abyssal portal and slamming it shut. The image of Areelu had just a moment to scream in agony before it vanished, and you could finally move again.

You are no longer stunned.

Round 1

Julian's body burned from this unknown source of power. He found his items restored, his abilities empowered and threw his head back and laughed, drunk on this feeling of invincibility. "I... feel... the power!" His voice cracked as he drank down his feral mutagen once more, shattering the glass in his fist as his body shifted into a far more refined beast...

Julian stood firm, Einherjar in his primary hand and his other fist surrounded in white flames momentarily before he clenched his hand into a fist and dispersed them. Whatever the wardstones magic had done, it had changed his form into two different parts and cleared his psyche of the doubt and fear tha had gripped it. Part of his body showed the beast that lay in his blood. The other half showed the true potential of a Tiefling infused with the purest of holy might.

He was distracted for a moment at the demonic form of his leg and arm, but it was only a slight distraction from the demons that surrounded them. He whispered to himself before picking up Rowan's fallen blade with his free hand. "Apotheosis... I never..." He stopped speaking there and instead waved the blade at Rowan as he stepped up to defend Tarov's backside sp[eaking loudly to her in an amused manner. "You forgot something!"

Rowan recovered from the vision and scowled as the image of Areelu Vorlesh. She looked to her glowing form and smiled at the thought that the Inheritor had to have been watching over them, they could not fail. Not now. Not when they had come so far. The demons were a mere distraction as she raised her head and looked at them warily and swordless.

Julian's taunting call made her turn and she smiled at the sarcastic tiefling. Puffing back a stray lock of hair, she stepped between and appeared right next to the changed Tiefling. Quickly taking the blade back before calling on the Inheritor's might once more. Leveling the blade at her opponent. In Abyssal "You've been betrayed... Prepare yourself demons!"

Two of them actually managed to score hits, thrusting forward with all their strength and managing to strike both the tiefling and the Paladin in direct, powerful blows. Only Rowan took any serious damage, and the divine energy infusing her was already starting to patch her up.

And Rowan already went for the second round, so Julian and Tarov are up.

Taking a step back while attempting to open up the demons' guard for Julian to strike at, Tarov thrusts his ranseur out again. He then attacks another, a trail of soft, billowing light following his hands in a straight line towards the dwarf's infernal foe.

There attacks failed to do little more than scrape off some of his new scales, as he deflected their weapons with his demonic looking arm. He wasn't boisterous or smug as he lashed out with Claw and blade against his first opponent.

Tarov's mighty help allowed him to score a decent first blow but his other attacks were far too off kilter as he found his body was shaking from the infusion of energy. At least my body is honest, such power is enormous and hard to handle...

Only the second of Tarov's attacks of opportunity landed, but it sunk deeply into the creature, and moments later the three of you were very busy indeed. Julian's bite and blade both struck his target, while Rowan was busy closing with the others. Julian was a force to be reckoned with, punctuating every slash with Einherjar with a devastating claw or bite attack. The redeemed tiefling proved he was more than a match for the forces of the abyss and so long as Einherjar and hi companions were nearby he was unstoppable...

His current state of Apothesis made this fact even more so as his enhanced form proved hard to damage, let alone kill when compared to the weapons of the demons they faced. Einherjar was more powerful as well now that his experiance was growing he was able to give more to the blade. His magic could now make Einherjar sharper and more keen to inflicting mortal blows to his opponents...

Julian's voice rose in the din of combat, Einherjar's words mingling with his own as the worked as one. "We are the Incoming Storm! We will bring hope to the broken lands, we will drive you screaming back into the Abyss and seal you back in your pit as you deserve!" He continued to fight ferociously striving to annihilate them with extreme prejudice."This is the strength of one who has sought redemption. You cannot break one who will not bow to you and you can take this back to your masters as proof that there attempts to hold sway in this world will only Fail!."

Blow after blow continued to crash into the Babau, though it was just as clear that it would take more than one or two hits to fell these foes - indeed, without the power infusing your bodies, it was entirely probable that these demons would have easily overwhelmed you.

Tarov takes another moment to gauge his enemies' actions before continuing his assault, to meager effect.

Tarov maintains Inspire Courage (free action), uses Aid Another to boost Julian's AC (move action) and attacks one of the babau (standard action).

With Einherjar in his hand he dealt his last opponent a grievous blow, followed swiftly with a rending claw attack and a bite to the demons shoulder. As the demons blood boiled away, disappearing off his teeth and lips Julian smiled at how pitiful the demons were then. "We will never stop nor bend to your ilk. No matter how much you try!"

He continued to press the attack...

Again Einherjar cut deeper than ever before into his next enemy, rowan's last foe, as Julian sought to not only defeat but to annihilate the demons. As a standing and resounding testament to the power of those who sought their own destiny. I can only hope to find her again and show her how strong I have become. Thanks to her. Thanks to my mother. Desna be praised for the journey I have been given... Julian's eyes glistened and despite the combat the feeling of fulfillment filled him with joy, with purpose and slowly banished the lingering doubt he had held onto since the second crusade...

As her holy might faded and her smite dissipated she continued to fight on, unafraid and filled with righteousness. Seeing the change in the Tiefling filled her with joy, again will won out over supposed predestined evil. She rammed Irabeth's blade home, watching the demon writhe in agony as the bane tore through its infernal skin...

Her attacks proved her final foes undoing, as she struck out again and again. Each blows was telling, its blood splattering across the floor as she proved that mortals could give these abyssian creatures hell. Irabeth's blade was razor sharp and deadly as it tore into the demon with two furious blows. Whether the creature survived her assault was unlikely. Lest it ran hard and fast, if it didn't victory would be Kenebras!

Julian plunged his weapon into the remaining demon acting against him, and in one brutal movement severed its head from its body. Meanwhile, Rowan's foe was looking badly damaged, and the demons' attacks were increasingly desperate.

Somewhat amazingly, the one fighting Tarov actually managed to deal a moderately heavy blow to him, though even a critical blow wouldn't take too long to be healed. The grim work continued a moment later... and the last one fighting Rowan fell, leaving one demon behind.

Melee (Tarov): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26 for Damage: 1d8 + 7 - 10 ⇒ (2) + 7 - 10 = -1

It struck out, futilely - the holy energy empowering the dwarf entirely negated the power of the strike, and tandem strikes from Julian and Rowan pierced the creature's chest. It coughed out a moment later, staring at you with hate and fear in its eyes, then slowly slumped to the ground.

As it died, the light surrounding you abruptly multiplied in brightness until it shone brighter than the sun itself, filling everything you could see with pure gold. A celestial figure appeared a moment later, then smiled at you. Later, there would be no words to truly describe the sight, save that it was like a blind man seeing dawn for the first time.

"That power is too much for mortal hands." the radiant figure said, her voice musical and pleased as she stepped forward. "I regret that I cannot leave it with you to use against the forces of evil, but I can at least give you my own blessing instead, especially with how far out of your way you went to do the right thing. I have no doubt that you will use my gifts well." She gently kissed each of you on the forehead, and as she did, the light surrounding you vanished, along with the celestial figure... and was replaced by a power within that was like nothing you had ever possessed before.

Congratulations on reaching Level Six (Don't look at me like that, it's what the book says!) and Mythic Tier One. Light burst forth from Julian and he felt he could do the impossible, he was unstoppable and he could finally do what he needed to do. Fight the demons across the worldwound, thwart their plans and drive them back into the Abyss! He'd avenge his mother and all those who died at their hands!

The appearance of the celestial figure though brought him pause, he couldn't do much more than listen to her voice and the sight of her filled his vision completely. His words trembled on his lips as he tried to argue their case, but he couldn't find the words, he was dumbfounded, scrambling for something anything and even Einherjar was silent. When he finally spoke it was just one word right as she kissed his forehead. "Beautiful..."

It was all he could think of at the time.

Then she was gone leaving Julian holding Einherjar awkwardly as he reflected on what he lost and felt the new power flowing through him along with something else....

Pain.

His vestigial wings were throbbing, like they were twisted or cramped and try as he might he couldn't sooth them with normal means. He put Einherjar away as he tried to flex his wings, only to gasp as he regretted it immediately. "By Desna..." He hissed through his teeth as he inhaled sharply and than gasped as both of his wings cracked loudly. Like a long bound up joint finally relaxing, although it was still painful there was a feeling of relief in it as he spread his wings fully for the first time in a century.

New growth covered the wings in fine scales and feathers, he had a wingspan now, no longer were they atrophied or useless. He instinctively felt the need to soar in the skies. "I can't believe it... They can move... I... I can fly!" He performed a full stroke with his wings and kicked up dirt and dust in the cramped room. "This is remarkable..."

Will be taking the Wings Alchemy discovery but this is a bit neater to tie in with ;)

Somehow seeming tougher and more noble, Tarov rests his weapon casually on his shoulder. Around his shoulders is a cloak of soft white light, opaque and intangible.

He gives Julian a sideways look, shrugging at the tiefling. "Great. Lovely. Now ya can fly into trouble before I can do anythin' about it," the dwarf needles his companion with a wry grin. "Anyway, we need t' get back t' th' Defender's Heart. With th' Wardstones destroyed, who knows what th' fiends'll do next?"

Julian smirks at Tarov jabbing. "Looks like you'll just have to learn to fly than..." His previous excitment made him shake as he tried to rein himself in but was hard to control yourself when you were so happy...

He took a deep breath and focused on the task at hand. "I agree Tarov, who knowIrabeth and her forces may need our help. We also have to get the dead back to the Defenders Heart for proper burial." He frowned at the thought of carrying the meat husks the demon's ha abused but it was the right course.

Rowan felt the invigorating power course through her before the celestial figure appeared and took the overwhelming power away. She accepted it quietly, humbled by the chance to have used it in the first place. The moment passed quickly and she came out of it in a daze, however she could feel a different power coursing through her than.

She sees Julian's elation and marvels at his expanded wings, no longer atrophied upon his backside. She nods at the discussion before adding. "We will exchange what weapons we find here for the weapons we take from the armory. Some other poor soul may come here and they too could use a stout weapon. But I agree, lets return to the Heart with the fallen and the weapons for our companions."

Incidentally, you'll have to note actually leaving before I can respond there - if you only talk about leaving, things don't happen. XD After all, don't want to railroad you TOO much, especially if there was still something you wanted to do.

Other than making sure the dead get a burial rite and taking more weapons for the war effort/stripping the dead. There isn't much more we can do here. :/

I will look back and see what else we find here. I will strip the body of the newly shredded Jeslyn >:3 as I am sure she doesn't need it anymore. Granted if that actually survived. But With Floating Disk I can carry a ton of stuff back. Including said bodies.

Julian nods to his companions a wry smile on his face. "Lets strip old lobster claw here and get back to Defenders hear. All this shining lights and beautiful celestial's makes me want for a hot meal and a cold bath."

He strips lobster claw, formerly known as Jeslyn, of their remaining gear and moves to do the same to the other bodies throughout the structure. Once he exchanged some for the cold iron items in the secret armory he moves to load the bodies unto the disk before heading back to defenders heart...

Tarov assists Julian, bodily carrying as much as his stout frame will allow. Though fatigued, the Knight doesn't complain at all under extra weight.

The weapons the cultists had - aside from Jeslyn's enchanted but ugly scythe - were obviously of inferior quality when compared to the solid, cold iron weapons that had been loaded into the hidden armory specifically to help crusaders who needed access to an emergency stash of gear that could help overcome the resistances of their foes. Still, at least you were able to put something else on the shelf, right?

The city was oddly quiet as you left - only minutes before had the burst of golden light erupted through the wards and destroyed countless demons, and many defenders were likely still in shock about what had happened. The way back to Defender's Heart was apparently safe, though it would still take a bit of time to cross the roads... and report on your victory.

If you want to do anything else in the garrison, do it now - otherwise, it's back to base!

AS the others busy themselves with picking up items and exchanging weapons Rowan moves back to the chamber where they had defeated the minotaur. She looked at the battered helms and took them up.

History - Battered Steel Helms - Where did they come from?: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

Seeing the place of honor these broken helms now resided in she set them in her back pack. Intent on setting them right along with the rest of the Grey Garrison. She'd restore it to its rightful place, the bodies would be buried and her fallen companions would be given proper burial. She would etch their names into her mind so that their sacrifice wasn't forgotten.

She didn't know what else they could, the work that was needed would require days to be set right but she planned on seeing it done. The alters would be fully set right and the building would be cleared of filth.

Grabbing the broken helms, I hope I can repair them if not Make Whole is another option. As stated above if the area is indeed safe she will be returning to this Garrison and returning it to a state of usefulness. Once the helms are repaired and the bodies properly taken care of, she will return to start her clean up.

Post this question in the game thred.

Is Nurah still around? I didn't se any mention of her so I was curious.

She's hanging back in the previous room. She knows better than to get anywhere close to a mythic shadow demon that hates her guts and would gladly murder her just to make her, and you, suffer. XD

(I often have NPCs drop out of sight for fights and stuff. This is YOUR game, and they're not meant to be in the spotlight that way. Also, they're not even remotely close to being as durable as you three.)

Ghoul Chapel – Desecrated and difficult to reach, because this was a shrine of Desna, needs to be fixed still.
Examination reveals that the longsword is a +1 vicious longsword
the longspear is a +1 benevolent cold iron lonspear. <- Tarov Claimed

The man's weapon looked to have been enchanted by his own power, and bore no lingering effects.
250 GP worth of powdered silver on him - an important ingredient in the creation of holy water, and likely a project he'd been working on.
More helpfully, there was also a nearby
strongbox containing 383 cp, 710 sp, 3,827 gp,
a beryl worth 500 gp,
three opals worth 100 gp each,
a gold holy symbol of Sarenrae worth 200 gp,
a knight's pennon (battle),
+1 returning dagger.

Haunted Vault – Ruins of Drezen City – Desecrated, needs cleansed still.
In the far corner of the room were several long-decayed bodies with a pile of useful things sitting there - the undead hadn't been terribly interested in coins or the like, but the three of you could certainly make use of them.
Among the hoard were 56 PP, 448 GP, and 220 SP in coins,
a Potion of Endure Elements,
a Scroll of Delay Poison,
a Scroll of Detect Chaos,
a Wand of Detect Poison with 22 charges left. The wand has an inscription providing a clue to its function - useful, that.

Loot Sheet is finally updated, apologies for the wait, we should figure out what we are keeping, selling and rewarding to officers for merit in the field. However, from the few items I put in the sell column already...

Items such as Jewels, Coinage and furniture like items)

... has brought us upto:

27501 gp 1 sp and 3 cp to split three ways Unless we decide to split this large pool among the officers present. Another decision we should decide as a team

Split 3 ways it comes out to...

9167 gp and 4 copper each.

We also had the 3,000 GP each boon given to us prior to this from Rednal. So remember to include that separately. As it isn't included with the above total. It is marked under each of us on the sheet.

There is a ton of items added to the sheet now and a couple used to be Tarovs but if Rednal wants the one +1 Benevolent Longspear removed then I can do so and say it went with Tarov. However that is the only item I included from him, any other items he had on his person are not here. Less of course Rednal doesn't mind us adding it. Either way, doesn't bother me. We have been given ample boons in this AP for me to shrug at a few magic items not being in the pile.

Go ahead and keep the spear. o wo/ I'm sure Tarov would rather see it put to use for the good of the crusade. Also, your GP is probably a bit low to begin with, which is helping to balance out your characters' strengths. XD

Guildhall:

Create 67 Goods, 66 Labor (2,660 gp) <-Initial cost for building I assume. Still new at this, bare with me.

Rooms - 1 Common Room, 1 Kitchen, 1 Lavatory, 2 Offices, 1 Secret Room, 1 Sitting Room, 2 Storages, 3 Workstations

The headquarters for a guild or similar organization.

The guildhall will become a Workers Union, one comprising of utilizing people to provide labor support in and around Drezen, to help the city rebuild and, afterwards, continue to provide the necessary muscle to get projects done in and around the city.

A side business that she will maintain throughout his adventures as best she can.

Working on the Organizations numbers and costs of recruiting.

Edit 1: She is looking to build the Guildhall in Paradise Hills, probably one of the old Warehouses or abandoned structures would work. Besides Calling them the PHLUD (Paradise Hills Labor Union of Drezen makes me chuckle.)

Edit 2 This may not work though as going for the Justicar of Iomedae means she can't own anything. Hrummmmm.

Depending on how much we actually make from what we are selling, I would like to do the following...

So I am looking at getting a an alchemy lab built and starting a small organization within that.

Alchemists shop/lab/area - inside of Drezen's Dungeon.:

Create 48 Goods, 2 Influence, 41 Labor, 1 Magic (1,940 gp)

Rooms 1 Alchemy Lab, 1 Bedroom, 1 Garden, 1 Kitchen, 1 Lavatory, 1 Sitting Room, 1 Storage, 1 Storefront

The laboratory and home for a "creator of potions, poisons, and alchemical items.

It'll cost 1940 gp to make the Alchemist lab may have some costs deducted since Drezen's dungeons already have some of those rooms readily available. So long as Rowan and others sign off on it. Bedroom and Sitting room already exist, as well as a Storage room. The old torture chamber could be converted into an alchemy lab but the lavatory and storefront will be costly haha. Though adding a couple bedrooms for assistants and a manager may be costly. :/

Still working on seeing the cost in starting an organization. work is 16-18 hr days atm. But I don't want to waste a good oppourtunity to make something neat and fitting for my character.

Reading through the Ultimate campaign stuff. Anathya's trying to figure out her place.

Trying to figure out something appropriate for her skill set, outlook and philosophy.

Well, just remember...

1) Your goal is to rebuild the city (and Rowan can't hold property, or even let someone else hold it for her while she functionally rules - although she can encourage the creation and independent running of a Guildhall for the sake of meeting the city's needs)

2) There will be many times you won't be present to give day-to-day leadership to something.

3) Per royal order, you've already got a job. Be careful about what you ask to take on in addition to that, since you will be expected to set it aside when duty calls. XD

Honestly, when not on a mission, executioner for those genuinely deemed irredeemable if only to spare Rowan the task. That would also fulfill the deific obedience without being bloodthirsty. Especially if someone else is judging them and I serve as the instrument of final sentencing

Oh I agree its difficult to figure out the best way to go with your character.

Though what Rowan is doing seems oddly appropriately and fitting, what better way to get Drezen back up, recruit the populous as the workforce and turn them into the engine that gets the city back on its feet. Him and I have discussed at length what we should do. will get the next six days posted soon.

Though I'm not a Justicar yet, as such, this organization is just what a battered city needs. Able hands to turn ruins into new foundations and homes.

However you are correct GM Rednal, she is going to help create the Organization, provide guidance, funding and to see it grow in her absence until it can stand on its own. Drezen needs an organization outside the Dawnbringers to help with the reconstruction. The Labor Union is just that.

Dawnbringers defend Drezen.

PHLUD - Labor Union Rebuild it.

Eventually, she would see them grow with an internal branch that gave added security to the city. So if someone wants to mess with Drezen, they will find the roughest, toughest SOB's outside of the Paladins that defended the walls. They'd give something a good beating at least. But that is way later.

I thought it would be a good use of her Leadership skill initially, she won't own the organization but this was my idea of getting the prisoners converted over. In a useful way at least.

It would be, Working on my six days. Nice post btw Julian.

So we do need to decide as to what we are selling and what we are keeping. If we were to sell / donate the lot of it we would put a significant dent into the needs to get Drezen up and running again.

Though rewarding the soldiers is a big one too.

So lets get the masterwork, magical and mundane weapons (and armor) figured out before selling the rest.

GM Rednal are Furniture, Jewelry and art items sold for 100% or not? Also is the Market Percent 50% or lower for sold items in Drezen right now?

Got my remaining days figure out, I am working on it right now.

Jewelry and Art are sold for 100%, yes. You won't sell items for less in its current economy, but the cap on what you can sell is a lot lower than it ought to be. That will go away once the city is rebuilt, by the way.

Most basic services are available now, including Meiyun's forge, spellcasting up to 5th, and whatever the new inhabitants brought with them. Anything weird or esoteric probably isn't available yet.

so purchase limit of 2500 gp.

None of the items we are selling exceed that though, being unfamiliar with purchase limits. since no dm seemed to have bothered with it or i haven't noticed haha.

Is 2500 gp the monthly -buy my stuff limit- or so long as we don't try selling an item worth more then that we are okay to sell everything?

If its the latter then we are all good. xD

Julian Religion: Desna | HP: 96/103 | AC: 27 / T: 23 / FF: 14 / Resist: Fire 5 Defiant Armor - vs Evil Outsiders +2 AC DR 2/- | F: +8, R: +14, W: +8 | BAB +6 CMB: +7 CMD: +30 | Ini: +15 Perception: +15

Also we will donate the goods we found to Drezen as well. unless those are already included.

I updated the sheet on what is and isn't for sale based on the purchase limit.

if we sell everything, as listed now, we come out to about 10192+ gp each. This doesn't include the 3k boon that Rednal gave us individually before.

You can sell anything up to that limit. ^^ It's a little bit arbitrary... but basically, the purchase limit represents what's feasible for a given region. It's why little five-house hamlets can't buy 100k endgame gear from you. XD

Julian Religion: Desna | HP: 96/103 | AC: 27 / T: 23 / FF: 14 / Resist: Fire 5 Defiant Armor - vs Evil Outsiders +2 AC DR 2/- | F: +8, R: +14, W: +8 | BAB +6 CMB: +7 CMD: +30 | Ini: +15 Perception: +15

true that. XD I didn't know since we are in a post apocalyptic ruin if it was a monthly limit. haha. xD

So everyone should have 13192 gp 4 cp each. if there is any items you want to buy out of the loot sheet before I delete it, now it the time. like furniture, art or jewelry.

No magical weapons were sold as the city doesn't have the purchase limit capable to buy them.

So post in here what you are buying and deduct it from your shares. :)
