Talathel Haeelon |
Following pau, Tal settles himself to keep an eye out on the grounds around them.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Yes, the gnome fellow did tell us something about the word 'wiffle'. It might come into play here.
Maximos Jax |
Maximos walks under Pau's legs to inspect the alter up close ... casting detect magic as he advances and inspecting the room.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
"Well ... let's see what's in here ..."
Maximos Jax |
"This name plate is loose ... and something is up with the west wall. It has a magical aura."
Maximos inspects the name plate for any traps, perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 ... if none are obvious he then proceeds to try and move it, sliding it left and right, then up, down, then trying to rotate it, pull it out ...
Maximos Jax |
Maximos picks up the chalk an writes W .... i ... F .... L .... "bah!", he exclaims as he smudges out the "L", then continuing to write ... F .. L ...E ... ending the e with a little swirl, and slipping the chalk into his pocket ... for safe keeping.
GM Kyshkumen |
Writing the word Wiffle on the tiny chalkboard causes the illusion on the western wall to flicker and fade away revealing a door. The door then grinds open to reveal a dark passage way.
Heading into the passage the walls here are made out of stone. Though there is something slightly off about it.
There there seems to be light coming from the north end of the passage.
Talathel Haeelon |
Watching as Maximos finds the hidden panel and writes the password onto the tablet, Tal is surprised as the wall fades away and reveals another passage way.
So what would someone be hiding in this secret area?
Tal edges closer to the opening while he brings his bow out.
GM Kyshkumen |
Following the passage north leads to a small chamber. Several desks are arranged along the northern and eastern edges of this small stone alcove. Whereas the stonework leading to this chamber is rough, the walls in the alcove are polished. A single gem rests among the neatly filed papers on the desk, emitting a soft luminescence that brightens the small room.
Pau |
"Magical glowing gems aren't typically left laying around unguarded. Does this smell like a trap to anyone else?" Pau slowly advances, looking around as he does so.
Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Maximos Jax |
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Maximos scans the room for danger, and detects magic.
If all looks clear he heads to the papers eager to consume whatever knowledge they may hold.
GM Kyshkumen |
Maximos find nothing unusual and the only magic is coming from the glowing gem. Glancing over the notes Maximos can see this is hidden knowledge they were seeking. Though most of it is in Azlanti (If you can read Azlanti it becomes clear that the notes are further encoded and will take further study at the Grand Lodge to fully unlock their secrets).
Drognar RockGroin |
Drognar looks to his companions "Well, I suspect this is what Drenge was after. Lets check for any other secrets before we go."
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 +2 vs stone.
Drognar looks around.
Maximos Jax |
Maximos takes the papers and picks up the stone, holding it up to inspect it closely.
perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Binkbink Core Fuzzybrain |
"Oooooh. P-R-E-T-T-Y!"
"It takes soooooo little to amuse us."
"There has got to be a purpose for this unique gem."
"I agree with Pau, this is something that doesn't get left around lightly."
"Maybe whoever left it here, was confident no one would be able to figure out how to find and enter this place."
"It still a bit odd. Be on guard everyone. The owner of this will be looking to retrieve it."
GM Kyshkumen |
2d3 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3Swordman, brute
1d2 ⇒ 1Neophyte
1d3 ⇒ 3Debilitator
Gathering up the notes and the gem the Pathfinders head back out with their find. Getting out to the main chamber they run into a bit of a snag. A ragtag group of two humans, a half orc and a dwarf wearing a mask are waiting for them. "Heard you might have found something of value back at the wisp. Figured we follow you and take it for our own once you did all the leg work for us." one of the humans says.

"This is not some sort of tag team wrestling match for our entertainment."
"Wait... what?" Binkbink shrugs his shoulders in confusion then races past Maximos with an open palm hand, implying a high 5.
Binkbink moves past Maximos (drawing AoO from red). @ Party - Feel free to move by red w/o AoO (assuming he doesn't have combat reflexes.
Binkbink stops on the left side of red and draws his free hand all the way back, then looks to slap the enemy wherever he finds an opening.
Binkbink tries to attack red with Vision of Madness
melee touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Talathel Haeelon |
Not sure if this will work, but Tal would like to cast Entangle on the square just to the lower left of the blue human, should catch all of them (Reflex DC 13).
If he can't cast the spell due to there not being plants to affect, he'll use Divine Favor on himself and ready his longbow.
GM Kyshkumen |
AoO vs Binbink: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Not expecting a gnome to coming rushing at him the man swings to high and misses Binkbink. Circling around the man Binkbink slaps him on the back.
Talathel casts a spell on himself before drawing his long bow. I do not see there being enough plant growth in a well maintained temple for entangle to be effective.
The dwarf touches the other human next to him with spell right before another dwarf that looks exactly the same appears.

Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Pau |
Lol, I overlooked the map, DM. Please move me to the closest baddie, since both of the punches missed anyway, it shouldn't matter. Thanks for the clarification.
Talathel Haeelon |
Thanks GM, I couldn't find the post with the description of the area so didn't know if there would be enough plant life.
Dorora |
unsure if I would have my falchion out?
Dorora, looks at the enemy near her. She grins, then rushes forwards and punches straight for the face.
Ac is now 13 until I go again
Charge power attack spike gauntlet: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 = 12 for pierce damage: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Charge falchion: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 2 = 15 for slash damage: 2d4 + 7 ⇒ (4, 3) + 7 = 14
GM Kyshkumen |
I'll go with you having the falchion out Dorora. There was a will save you needed to make, but I'll just roll that for you. Sorry about the delay everyone else, lets finish this thing up.
Will save Dorora: 1d20 ⇒ 18
So -2 to attack just this round, but you'll still hit him.
Dorora charges the half orc that attempted to hex her and with a flash of her falchion leaves the enemy bleeding on the floor. Pau rushes forward to aid Binkbink and Maximos, but in his haste his attack is a bit sloppy and misses.
Seeing an opening the larger human charges Dorora with his great club.

Bold are up. Maximos, please plan out your five foot step then read the following spoiler.
Maximos Jax |
Well my plan was always to go "up" and that's where I "should" have been ... so I will stick with that (even though the low route makes more sense).
He will drop sleep on the mirror imaged dude by the door. Sleep DC 15
I moved the baddy his 5' step UP (as that's less vulnerable for him, move him DOWN if that makes sense.)
Maximos then will cast color spray defensively (DC 17)
Cast Defensively: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Cast Defensively SHIRT REROLL: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Dang.
GM Kyshkumen |
I double checked the wording on Step up to make sure he didn't have to follow in your path. He just has to end up next to you after the 5 ft so he's good where you put him.
Will save Dwarf: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 2 = 8
The dwarfs back at the stairs can't seem to stay awake so they curl up on the floor and fall asleep.

"We have the wizard to contend with again ... stay spread out so he does not put us all to sleep or dazzle us with his spellcraft!"
Dorora |
She takes the hard club to the chest, rocks back ever so slightly and the uses that momentum to power her own swing at the man who has charged forward.

DM, I can't get to the map this morning. If I can move and Attack, I will do that. If I can get a full round Attack off, I'd prefer to do that obviously.
