Kaâb plunged in the pit to get anything of value or which could be of help to explore the complex.

take 10 to search the area and the creature (+4 vs traps)

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

Kaab flies down and catches the woman's body. Once down there, Kaab is able to see better that a net covers the bottom and slopes down to a vertical chute which drops down another 20 feet, also with a net at the bottom. The sides of the chute seem to open out elsewhere though.

Pulling the woman's body back up top though, you discover the following: potion of bear's endurance, potions of cure moderate wounds (2), potions of mage armor (2), tanglefoot bags (3), +1 flaming bracelet chakrams (40), masterwork cold iron bracelet chakrams (20), belt of incredible dexterity +2, ring of protection +1, slippers of spider climbing, third eye of midnight (the gem in her forehead that acts as goggles of night.

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

The trap door and rough-hewn tunnel beyond lead up and eventually emerge into a small series of more properly masoned corridors.

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

The first door is locked and reinforced with iron bindings. Nearby are three other rooms though, all full of sumptuous, finely crafted teak furniture and bedding of fine silk.

I think most of you are getting ready to head off to GenCon so we might be moving slow until Monday or so.

"Cultists could be hiding in any of these dens of inequity. Are any of you capable of unlocking a stout door such as this first one?"

While the doors are being checked for magic, Omrax will scan for evil aura's as well.

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

It doesn't seem like you have an immediate way to deal with the locked door, so I'm guessing you have moved on to the set of double doors:

Kaab finds no traps or locks and you let yourselves in through the doors. Cold white light pours down from the ceiling, illuminating a raised platform in the center of the area. The room is two stories high, with a series of balconies running around the upper level, overlooking the platform. Two narrow walkways cross above the center of the platform on the second story. Stone pillars positioned around the lower level support the balcony and walkways. To each side at the rear of the chamber, steep steps ascend from the lower to the upper level.

A statuesque woman with a charcoal dot on her forehead wearing a fitted black sari and veil set off by an intricately jeweled nose ring stands on the upper balcony opposite you. She steps forward and demands, "What is it that you want, to have invaded our home and temple as such?"

Omrax will address the woman up in the balcony.

"We seeketh justice and recompense for innocent lives slain by members of a dark cult we have traced back to this complex. Murders were committed in the name of the dark goddess revered here. Are you the leader of this place? What say you?"

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

"I am Zaafira. Of leaders I am but one of three. The sole remaining, I fear. I am afraid history is not on your side though, my friends. The glorious cult of the Ebon Destroyers has been a pervasive power throughout Vudra for many years and all attempts to eliminate it have failed. Dhalavei is the dark mother who slays those who would harm her protected chosen. Join me as members, become chosen, and Dhalavei will protect you and I will stand by your side as an ally."

Mordrak listens to Zaafira's speech, then looks from Omrax to Kaâb, back to Zaafira. You clearly do not know my friends, he says with a slight smile. I am finding the likelihoodness of us accepting any such alliance to be very small. So small as to say, none.

On my phone so I can't edit the map or add a spell text reminder.

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

The last remaining cult leader is unable to stand under Arnoth's vicious assault and collapses to the floor in a heap of gray fabric!

Out of combat!

In the door in the side of this second training chamber you find a smooth shaft that drops 20 feet before opening out into a filthy, 20-foot-tall oubliette. There are three prisoners in this cell. Two are caravan guards named Samar and Haljit, both hailing from northern Jalmery. "They drugged us and we woke up here; no way to escape but even if we did, how were we supposed to know if we were even in Jalmeray anymore? We've been down in the dark for weeks but seeing you is the greatest sight we've ever seen!" Haljit exclaims.

The third prisoner is an acolyte of peace named Jalissa. She swore a sacred vow of nonviolence, preventing her from harming any creature. As such, when she was ambushed she put up no fight against her attackers. The cultists had promised to make her into a sacrifice to Dhalavei along with the two caravan guards.

The locked door, the key to which you find on Zaafira, leads to the treasury. There are a dozen potions of cure light wounds, three potions of cure moderate wounds, and thousands of gold in coins and jwels. There are also two pots of marvelous pigments, a rod of metal and mineral detection, and an eversmoking bottle.

With the threat from the Ebon Destroyers eliminated, you can head back to the city and report your success. Thakur Kharswan rewards you profusely, not only in wealth, fantastic objects, and exception pets but he even offers a spouse from his own household. You are treated as honored guests at the palace and each day you are showered with new gifts.

The blessings of Raheem and the other Maurya-Rahm secures your entry into Jalmeray's greatest monasteries for the Pathfinder Society. Lastery, and perhaps most importantly, the Vudrani people are great storytellers, and whispered rumors of the Pathfinders' heroic deeds spread throughout the region, presenting many opportunities and possibilities for the Society in the future.

And that concludes Cult of the Ebon Destroyers! Thanks for playing and I hope you all had fun! I will get the chronicle sheets out and get the game reported right away!
