Hm. I'm just realizing thatt I could have chosen alchemical silver arrows instead of lugging around a scythe which I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with. Would you mind terribly if I were retcon the choice of a scythe for a batch of silver arrows? If so, how many should I get in place of the weapon? Totally understandable if the choice of weapon is locked in though.
the_Hound |
You could switch to a thrown weapon (if allowed), you would get more use out of it. Especially since arrows most of the time are not recoverable.
Zova Lex |
Ooooooh that's right! I almost forgot this was a series of modules and we could do that. So DM, after this set of modules, do you think it is a possibility that we continue on? It would be pretty amazing if we could take this on for quite a while.
Kayne Rhal |
I think in the original post he had a couple modules so I hope this goes on for a long while

Hokina |
Yea. Most of the Falcons Hallow Modules follow each other closely. So I plan to run them all, but this is a living town and world. So there is a lot of things you can do outside of the modules.
I will be trying to keep from going "Module x done, moving to module x+1".
About the silver weapon. I am fine with you switching it out. If you go with arrows, 40 Alchemical Silver Arrows.
Zova Lex |
I think I'll go with that. I have enough normal arrows to hold me over so that I only need to use the others when necessary. Besides, a single thrown weapon is a bit... 'eh' in the grand scheme of things.
I think this is a pretty good party here. Lots of good roleplay opportunities here... lets make this town a better place!
Zova Lex |
I'm a Hellknight. Good or evil don't really matter as long as chaos doesn't win out in the end. In many ways, being an inquisitor of Abadar is a blessing in disguise, since it essentially means "Detective" or "bounty hunter" You enforce the law, while still being able to be sneaky and and using underhanded tactics, unlike a paladin of Abadar.
Zova Lex |
Yup I'm using a longbow.
So as far as our skill selection goes, since I also have a heavy focus on wisdom, I will stay away from tracking, and do the normal inquisitor thing of putting points into knowledge so I could detail monsters for you all. I have a good 7 or 8 skill point per level to put in both face skills and knowledges with the occasional one or two in stealth.

I'm going to be on the road most of the morning so no posting unless I stop for a few minutes

Just made it into town, but work has me by the neck to get some work done. Will be a bit longer

I know I'm posting a lot, but I don't mean to hijack the game thread and dominate things. I just thought it might help to move the lower stakes points along. Obviously, if I'd failed that diplomacy, I'd have stood back and let someone better suited handle things.
But like I said, I don't want to dominate things. So please feel free to let me know if you guys would like me to dial it back a notch.
Zova Lex |
Heh. I was actually just about to intimidate the guy. Don't worry about it, and play your character.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 NOW HAVE FUN! WILL YA?!
the_Hound |
And I don't mind, if people need me to make a skill check when I'm not able to post to look at my character and get my bonus.
I work most of the day and until I can get Wayfinder to post properly I can't post from work.
the_Hound |
perhaps I can convert them to become Hellknights proper like myself. Then we could change this town for the better.[/i]
Hmm - I might be tempted

The Chaotic Good character wants to become a Hellknight? You mean the guys who are one bad day away from becoming full on Lawful Evil? :3
Well I'm no Asmodeus worshiper, so if you can shift to either Lawful Good or Lawful Neutral, I'd be happy to talk to my representative. Oh yeah, and you have to slay a devil in one on one combat in front of me. That's the test after all^^
Ford Benett |
--you're totally right, my bad. So many folks are in the water at the moment, I lost track. XD Erm...well then, disregard that tossing the rope and just pretend I meant toss it to Zova and Hound. I'm gonna see if I can use Animate Rope to tie it around them so you can pull them ashore.
...yeah, I think that'll work.
Alleran Odeber |
When you said Alleran "runs to her", I was thinking he jumped in too.
Haha, when you said "rocks" I thought you meant near the banks of the river, not out in the middle of it. Assumptions all around. <bows>

I don't know if you want to use your companion or not, so I did not put a token for it on the map.
If the companion will be used just post as it is there.
The tokens on the map are movable.
Same map link from above.
This is only my 2nd PbP game GM'ing, and my 2nd Pathfinder game GM'ing. So if you see any problems or any mistakes, just tell me.
It helps me get better so I can run the game better for you. :)
Zova Lex |
I personally don't mind the GM making saves for me. Even at home games I roll them behimd a screen do that I could fudge the rolls when need be (whatever people may tell you, I like my players to survive... otherwise all my writing goes out the window).
Kayne Rhal |
I'm Hounds user if you haven't picked up on that. I'm on the road right now if you give me about 4 hrs I will post. I would at a stop bit this app doesn't recognize Hound as an alias

I am sorry. I hade a wake yesterday and a funerak today. I will post tomorrow.

Oops sorry Hound. If I knew you were down, I would have healed you.

To explain my ruling on the Darkwood Shield.
It is normally a Heavy wooden shield with 2 less ACP (making it zero ACP).
Used by a medium creature (going up 1 size) change it to a Light wooden shield.
As the shield is not made for a medium creature, I treat it as inappropriately sized and give it a penalty to ACP just like with weapons (penalty of 2).
The Darkwood bonus and the inappropriately sized penalty cancels out.
So treat it just like a Light wooden shield. Just worth more.
Zova Lex |
Wow, thanks GM! I'll get to updating my section ASAP.
Zova Lex |
Sigh. It had to be a cute fox huh? It HAD to be a cute fox...
I guess during downtime I might just have to retrain into the sacred huntsmaster archetype so I can give up judgement for an animal companion. It cannot be helped.
Zova Lex |
Actually, a druid of Abadar might be hilarious. Instead of being a guardian of nature who protects the forests, she might be a guardian who prefers living in the cities, and uses the laws to stop the industrialization from spreading too far. It would be a great reason why she would continue to oppose the Lumber Consortium.
Zova Lex |
Hound, you should raise up your hitpoints so that they are back up to full. I used one CLW spell on you and one on the fox leaving me out for the day.
As for the fox still being here... well, I am thrilled about that really. I think it needs a name...
Zova Lex |
Hey GM, I do have to thank you for setting up the inventory sheet. It's really useful.
Kayne Rhal |
Hey Hound here, had a long day at work. Will post as soon as I can towmorrow

Four white mages? It'll never work!
*Sees that the party is made up of 4 divine characters leaning towards the good alignment*
Huh. Maybe this will work. Well to be fair, it looks like we might have a six person party soon enough with Alleran's Eagle Companion and my (hopefully going to survive long enough to actually do this) fox companion. It may not be optimal on my part giving up judgements and all but who cares, its a roleplaying game!
