As the vile rat attacks the dwarf beside her, Akasha strikes with a well aimed thrust, plunging her blade into the disgusting rodent.
Akasha's strike, though well placed, finds the tough natural armor of the Horrid Rat not quite so easily penetrable and the blade slides away leaving the rodent unharmed.
"Pleassse ssstep in the room people. Sssomeone coupe de gras the sssleeping one. The cassterss and archersss need line of sssight to asssisst."
Bosramir looks as the blade misses and swings his hammer at the rat.
The hammer proves as ineffective as Akasha's sword in damaging the creature.
As Bosramir moves into the room, the first rat lashes out at him.

Demise casts his slumber hex on the rat that is causing so much mayhem. "Once it fallss assleep, ssomeone finish him and hiss friend off."
The rat manages to shake off the effects of Demise's hex, and in turn issues a nasty, deep growl.

Silian curses, "Fury's frock these rats are harder to put down for a nap than a constipated dwarf-child! Balthazar if you can try to lob a bomb past the unconscious rat, I'll take the chance to slip in the room to continue shooting or get the dwarf back up, whichever is more opportune in the moment."
Balthazar takes out his newly prepared mutagen and drinks it.
"There's no way I can damage them without also hitting the dwarf. I am not yet able to control the extent of the bombs splash damage."
"A moment Lianna, I have line of sight on the rat now. I will shoot and then move so you can cast from this spot. We can continue to rotate our positions and perhaps damage the vermin from here.” Vannevar speaks quietly to the sorceress.
Lianna responds, ”Agreed, let’s move quickly.”
Vannevar releases the bolt from his crossbow aimed steadily at the Horrid Rat, which he can now see clearly with Bosramir no longer blocking the door, before stepping out of the way for Lianna.
Lianna moves into the spot evacuated by Vannevar and casts Elemental Ray at the rodent.
Neither attack was successful, the bolt sliding right off of the rat's natural armor.

The rat lashes out at Silian as he moves past, but the nimble elf is too swift for him.
Silian's arrow sticks into the rat's body with a thunk, the rat remains unconscious and through is now bleeding, it continues to breathe.
Following through on Silian's idea, Akasha launches herself into a tumbling pass taking her clear of the active rat to stop at the sleeping one freeing up space for the others to attack.
The first rat turns to attack Akasha, but the unexpected pain of an arrow still lodged in its side brings the attack up short.
The second rat remains unconscious.

Seeing the danger of the rat's attacks, Demise's voice deepens. He begins speaking in the ancient tongue of Daelkyr: "جيد أن أراك " His eyes glow deep red as he points at the conscious rat.

Balthazar still holds his action, grumbling under his breath about people standing/dying in his way.
Vannevar moves past Lianna and down the hall, pausing only long enough to determine the best path to take he crosses over Bosramir's prone body and stands next to Silian before shooting his crossbow at the rat.
Lianna's spell slams into the rat, stopping it's beating heart and with a sound not unlike a sigh escaping the lips of a forlorn lover, the rat falls over dead.

Akasha stand over the sleeping rat and brings her blade point down into the over-sized vermin.
Without a sound, blood spills out from the now dead rat, pooling around Akasha's feet.
Coup de Grace
As a full-round action, you can use a melee weapon to deliver a coup de grace (pronounced "coo day grahs") to a helpless opponent. You can also use a bow or crossbow, provided you are adjacent to the target.
You automatically hit and score a critical hit. If the defender survives the damage, he must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + damage dealt) or die. A rogue also gets her extra sneak attack damage against a helpless opponent when delivering a coup de grace.
Delivering a coup de grace provokes attacks of opportunity from threatening opponents.
You can't deliver a coup de grace against a creature that is immune to critical hits. You can deliver a coup de grace against a creature with total concealment, but doing this requires two consecutive full-round actions (one to "find" the creature once you've determined what square it's in, and one to deliver the coup de grace).

"Thank you, all. Now to get this bloody rug back up." Silian kneels and once more channels his magic through the Jorasco tool.
Once the dwarf opens his eyes, "Before you get up, tell me how grievous your remaining wounds are. I'm not having anyone do anything else until I have managed to close every scrape and gash I am able to, even if it means expending the full power of this wand." Silian looks around the room at the others, and speaks loud enough for those in the hall to hear. "Anyone else? Knick yourself shaving? Stub your toe? Bang your chestplate against a corner? We can't keep exploring this place at less than full strength. If you are wounded, speak now."
Bosramir looks at silian and replies. " they are fine I will be able to continue as I am now. Thank you, you may not feel the same towards me but you are a friend. I thank you. "

Akasha looks at Silian, then down at the fact that she is bleeding profusely from rat bites.
With a wry half smile Akasha nods. "Thank you Silian."
The utters a brief arcane word, commanding the blood and rat hair to flow off of her as if repelled.
As Silian looks around the room he sees broken dishes and crockery scattered across the floor mixed in with rat droppings and dead insects. Live insects and rodents scurry about, only barely disturbing the mold, dust, and cobwebs that seems to coat everything. The glint of something silver catches his eye from across the room.
"Probably, any reason we're still in here?" Akasha asks.
