It is impossible to five-foot-step to that position due to obstructions, difficult terrain, and enemies.

Female Aasimar (Angelkin) Alchemist (Beastmorph, Vivisectionist) // Paladin (Temple Champion) 2

Sorry about that. I'll just stay where I was and attack from there.
Incidentally, didn't that automaton take a 5-foot step through difficult terrain on its last turn?

This floor has a lot of weird features, including the creatures having gotten used to the difficult terrain on the floor. Basically the floor teaches the importance of positioning and movement with a great big sledgehammer.

Female Aasimar (Angelkin) Alchemist (Beastmorph, Vivisectionist) // Paladin (Temple Champion) 2

Okay, thanks, just curious. It's the automaton's turn now, right?

Grand Lodge

Emerald Spire Map Link Level 1 GM

Kaley swings away at the automaton, but her sword fails to breach its emerald armor. Just then, the automaton's smoking and sparking body twitches violently before exploding a moment later, capturing Kaley and Dorin in the blast, but also the nearby goblin!

Electric Explosion: 1d10 ⇒ 7

Reflex DC 11 halves damage

Goblin Reflex Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

As the smoke clears, the automaton lies in ruins, and a badly singed goblin behind him. As said goblin recovers, you hear chanting from their apparent cleric as he continues to back away from the fray.

Spellcraft DC 16:
He is casting Enlarge Person.

The singed goblin hobbles over to Kaley, before taking a stab at her with his shortsword...

Attack & Damage: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 151d4 ⇒ 2

But he misses!

Another goblin dashes by, heading for Dorin before swinging with his own shortsword!

Attack & Damage: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 181d4 ⇒ 3

Amazingly, the goblin is able to get his sword past Dorin's armor, and wounds him further from the explosion!

It'll now be Dorin's turn.

Female Aasimar (Angelkin) Alchemist (Beastmorph, Vivisectionist) // Paladin (Temple Champion) 2

Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Kaley manages to press herself back against the wall, avoiding the worst of the blast.

Male Dwarf Fighter / Warpriest of Torag Level 1

Reflex Save-1d20 ⇒ 17

Crackling with electricity, slightly singed and cursing like a one legged soldier who is too deep in his cups, Dorin spits out a mouthful of blood, before swinging his axe as hard as he can in to the face of the Goblin.

Power Attack-1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 71d10 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Grand Lodge

Emerald Spire Map Link Level 1 GM

With the fury of Torag behind his swing, Dorin strikes with all the accuracy of Cayden Caelian after a drinking binge, missing the goblin as it barks in its horrendous tongue like a hyena in hysterics.

Goblin Speech:
"Stupid drunk dwarf drop dead now!"

It is now Qot's turn.

Female Miraluka | May the Force be with you. | DEX 4D KNO 2D MEC 2D PER 5D STR 3D TEC 2D | CON 3D SEN 3D ALT 2D | Experience 5

Qot tries to shoot twice, flurrying his bow; his target is the goblin 20 feet East of him. If somehow he manages to hit and kill it, his next attack would be against the goblin engaged with Dorin.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Damage 1: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Attack 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Damage 2: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Grand Lodge

Emerald Spire Map Link Level 1 GM

Attempting to shoot around Dorin to the goblin that has yet to enter the fray, Qot unfortunately misses with both arrows.

Dorin and the goblin fighting in front of Qot's target provided soft cover. It is now Coglen's turn.

HP 14/20 Human Alchemist (Vivisectionist) // Magus (Bladebound, Kensai) 1

Coglen slides by his allies to get to the front line, drawing his blade as he moves. He will attempt to slash across the goblin's midsection with it.

atk: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
dmg: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Female Aasimar (Angelkin) Alchemist (Beastmorph, Vivisectionist) // Paladin (Temple Champion) 2

Kaley swings her sword to attack the goblin that just approached, the one that was not harmed by the electricity.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 = 13

Grand Lodge

Emerald Spire Map Link Level 1 GM

While Coglen at long last joins his allies in battle, he is unable to land a solid blow on the goblin, but whilst the balloon-headed green midget is distracted, Kaley cleaves a massive gash across the goblin's torso, sending it crumpling to the ground in a slowly growing pool of blood.

Meanwhile, the cleric finishes casting his spell, and the goblin next to him doubles in size! What's more, he seemingly parts into two separate beings which scrabble over one another.

The goblin near the back dashes to Coglen, swinging his sword wildly!

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Coglen deftly hops over the goblin's low swing, just as the now enlarged goblin enters the room, stepping atop his fallen comrade, and attacks Coglen.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

It would seem that the goblin's increased mass is all bark and not bite, as Coglen side-steps the blow.

Next, the goblin before Kaley attempts to strike the aasimar, while screeching several insults about "Ugly longshank's mothers," in broken common.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Attack Critical Confirmation: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

He lands a blow, hitting with the fury of a single wounded, possibly anemic goblin!

As the goblin celebrates his small victory over the hideously gorgeous longshank woman, Dorin prepares to strike...

Male Dwarf Fighter / Warpriest of Torag Level 1

I am travelling today, I don't have access to Roll20. Could someone move me to the closest goblin and I'll attack him.

Dorin misses. It is now Petros' turn.

Male Half-Elf Bonded Witch/Trap-Breaker Alchemist 01

Rolling his eyes and shaking his head, Petros made his way over the ground of the spire, taking his time to be careful as the light he carried allowed.

"Sorry I'm late folks; turns out the dark ISN'T one of my fears" Petros said as he sidled up within five feet or so of Qot...assuming he could reach through that doorway.

Petros is taking another double move so he can end up as close to the group as he can

Grand Lodge

Qot's turn now.

Qot tries to shoot again, at the goblin in his direct line.

Coglen and then Kaley's turn.

HP 14/20 Human Alchemist (Vivisectionist) // Magus (Bladebound, Kensai) 1

Coglen attacks center-most of the three goblins directly in front of Dorin.

With little effort, Coglen strikes the giant goblin's sword-arm, nicking an artery that starts bleeding profusely with nearly black blood, with the goblin soon falling unconscious atop the previously felled comrade it was standing on.

It's a little messy, so to clarify, Kaley and Coglen both have conscious goblins to their immediate right on the map, while Dorin has two unconscious goblins to his immediate right. The goblin cleric is in the next room with what appears to be a copy of himself.

Kaley's turn.

Female Aasimar (Angelkin) Alchemist (Beastmorph, Vivisectionist) // Paladin (Temple Champion) 2

"That's not very nice," says Kaley, frowning at the goblin in front of her as she hacks down at it with her sword.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 6 = 15

Grand Lodge

Emerald Spire Map Link Level 1 GM

The goblin sidestep's Kaley's blow, and chatters at her.

Goblin Speech:
"You killed Blue-Booted Bugsby, and now I'm going to eat you!"

At that moment the cleric moves up, brandishing his falchion, and steps up to Dorin. The unconscious goblins underfoot seemingly squeek, and their tongues loll out of their mouths. The goblin takes a swing at Dorin, whilst shouting.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 181d6 ⇒ 2

Goblin Cleric Speech:
"The dwarf, cut him to ribbons! He is weakened!"

At this, the two remaining goblins each attempt to strike Dorin.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 71d4 ⇒ 1
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 181d4 ⇒ 2

But both blows thankfully bounce off Dorin's shield as he quickly moves it to cover himself! Putting his shield aside, Dorin prepares to make his own attack.

Dorin's turn.

Male Dwarf Fighter / Warpriest of Torag Level 1

Dorin grins and bears the assault, before glaring at the Cleric and drawing back his axe. "Aye laddie... It do be time to make good with your god so'd I do be saying my prayers right quick. I'll deal with your friends then you and me do be due a dance." Lashing out at one of the other goblins, Dorin keeps his eyes on the Cleric, just in case.

Attack-1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 141d10 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Miss. Don't forget you guys can use the aid another action. It is now Petros' turn.

Male Half-Elf Bonded Witch/Trap-Breaker Alchemist 01

"I hear you ugly buggers like fire" Petros muttered as he took a step forwards while digging out a vial from one of his pockets.

Hitting a sharp note as he whistled in warning, Petros lobbed the explosive fluids over the head of Qot, who he was hiding behind. As the vial made it's way towards the ground, the raven haired young man extracted his dagger from it's holster.
Bomb Attack on unoccupied square: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

Petros takes a five foot step towards the group so that he is standing right behind Qot. He then uses his free hand to throw an Alchemist's Bomb at the unoccupied square directly behind the middle goblin, hoping to get the three of them with the splash. He then takes a move action to take out a dagger.

The bomb should do 4 damage to everyone who does not make the dc 14 Reflex save. Also, does throw anything's 'circumstance bonus' apply to Alchemist bombs since they use the 'Throw Splash Weapon' attack? If they do, please add the +1 to the attack roll result.

Grand Lodge

Emerald Spire Map Link Level 1 GM

The bomb sails in an immaculate, perfect parabolic arch to its destination just behind the goblins, encasing them in fire...

Reflex Saves: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 81d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 41d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

The two goblins on either side of their maniacal cleric screech as they are scorched, the one before Kaley teeters, falling to the ground as his back smoulders. The cleric meanwhile hunkered in his cloak, the flames enveloping the ratty garment, but leaving his flesh relatively unsinged.

Even so, as the fire subsides, and he sees yet another goblin fall, he realizes that his illusory double was consumed in the fires as well, leaving him perfectly exposed... You see a hint of fear in his eyes.

I looked things up, and yes, you would get that +1 to your alchemist bombs. Also, you're in difficult terrain, so you wouldn't be able to 5-foot step to Qot. Speaking of which, it would now be Qot's turn.

Female Miraluka | May the Force be with you. | DEX 4D KNO 2D MEC 2D PER 5D STR 3D TEC 2D | CON 3D SEN 3D ALT 2D | Experience 5

Qot starts to doubting he will ever hit a goblin. He insists, however.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 Lol... :(

Attack 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

Missing everything again, he just hopes to retrieve some of the arrows later on. He will get better at it... Hopefully, someday!

Coglen's Turn.

HP 14/20 Human Alchemist (Vivisectionist) // Magus (Bladebound, Kensai) 1

Coglen first darts to the side, then comes back slightly behind the goblin cleric to flank him with Kaley.

move 15ft, half speed due to difficult terrain, diagonal down-right, then diagonal up-right to avoid moving through threatened squares. then attack with flanking to get sneak attack

atk: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 2 = 18
dmg: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7 (second d6 is sneak attack)

Female Aasimar (Angelkin) Alchemist (Beastmorph, Vivisectionist) // Paladin (Temple Champion) 2

Assuming Colgen didn't kill the cleric.

A bit startled by the sudden burst of fire and by Colgen's rapid movement, Kaley swings her blade around to stab viciously downward toward the goblin cleric's heart.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Damage: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3) + 6 = 13

"Sorry, Dorin. I think that dance of yours will have to wait."

If the cleric falls, Kaley uses her move action to move directly above Colgen. (You can move the token if that's the case, I don't want to confuse things by doing too much at once.)

Grand Lodge

Emerald Spire Map Link Level 1 GM

Darting around the cleric and his remaining goblin, Coglen slips his wakizashi into the goblin cleric, pinning the green hoodlum in place as Kaley proceeds cleave into his chest with her greatsword.

The goblin cleric falls, his mouth beginning to seep blood.

The remaining goblin, badly burned from the bomb, and now alone, drops his sword, uttering the only words of common he knows, indeed, it is perhaps the universally understood piece of common amongst goblins.

"Ah! Don't kill me!" he screeches as he cowers behind his hands.

You are now out of combat, and receive 350 XP per character.

HP 14/20 Human Alchemist (Vivisectionist) // Magus (Bladebound, Kensai) 1

Wiping the cleric's own blood off on his rags, Coglen regards the pitiful creature. "Tell us what you know. Now."

Female Miraluka | May the Force be with you. | DEX 4D KNO 2D MEC 2D PER 5D STR 3D TEC 2D | CON 3D SEN 3D ALT 2D | Experience 5

Qot collects his arrows in the floor, looking with attention to the goblin. He starts searching the rooms around there.

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

Female Aasimar (Angelkin) Alchemist (Beastmorph, Vivisectionist) // Paladin (Temple Champion) 2

As the last goblin surrenders, Kaley immediately turns her attention away from him. She sheathes her sword and drops to her knees, searching through the unconscious goblins to see which remain alive. She attempts to stabilize any living goblin she finds, binding their wounds with torn fabric from their garments.

Heal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Male Dwarf Fighter / Warpriest of Torag Level 1

He growled, gripping his axe tighter for a moment, listening intently for the sounds of more Goblins, before relaxing, inch by inch, before the head of his axe came to rest on the floor.

"Bloody green skins. They do be slippery little bastards!"

Dorin grimaced, and set down his pack, rooting through it till he pulled out a clean length of cloth, stepping away and in to an empty corner. He pulled his waterskin from his belt and poured some water over the cloth, before folding it in to a makeshift bandage. He began to wrap his wound slowly and carefully, being sure not to damage it further.

Heal Check-1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Grand Lodge

Emerald Spire Map Link Level 1 GM

Whilst stabilizing the goblins, Kaley finds one of them has already stopped bleeding on its own, and is able to stabilize the others with the aid of Dorin. During so, she is able to find a wand on the cleric.

In Qot's search, he is unable to find much beyond a few pieces of parchment with various stains on them, and jars of effluent and entrails. In the next room over there are several tables and benches, along with dusty plates, and one with what appears to be a desiccated elk leg, but nothing of significant value.

When Coglen attempts to question the goblin, the green-skinned miscreant merely repeats his previous statement. "Don't kill me!"

The wand detects as magical, and you are able to recover 50% of the arrows you missed with.

Spellcraft on Wand DC 16:
The wand is a wand of Cure Light Wounds with 20 charges remaining.

Female Aasimar (Angelkin) Alchemist (Beastmorph, Vivisectionist) // Paladin (Temple Champion) 2

Kaley stands up from bandaging the goblins and holds up the wand she found. "Can one of you guys take a look at this, see if you can figure out what it's supposed to do?"
It is only after she has briefly scanned the room for useful alchemical items and found none that her gaze returns to the last remaining goblin. "Anyone mind if I knock him unconscious?"

Male Dwarf Fighter / Warpriest of Torag Level 1

Dorin takes the wand and draws forth the runes for the detection of magic, waving his hand over it, before taking it in both hands and casting a critical eye over ti.

Spellcraft-1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

He smiles before nodding. "Aye lass, it do be a wand of healing. Only light wounds, but it do be better than nothing. It do be just a little under half full too. The gods do be smiling on us!" He smiles and slips the wand through his belt, tightening it so it will not budge.

Dorin will hold on to the wand, if no one has any objections.

HP 14/20 Human Alchemist (Vivisectionist) // Magus (Bladebound, Kensai) 1

In response to Kaley's question, Coglen replies, "At least knock him unconscious. I'm still not convinced we shouldn't kill him. Can't drag him along with us and don't want him at our backs."

Female Aasimar (Angelkin) Alchemist (Beastmorph, Vivisectionist) // Paladin (Temple Champion) 2

Kaley passes the wand over to Dorin, hesitating for only the briefest of moments before letting go.

When Colgen speaks, she gives him a distracted and mildly irritated glance as she strides over to the goblin. She speaks softly.

"My parents are both doctors. You can probably see that I didn't exactly follow in their footsteps. But they did manage to teach me one thing."

Kaley slams her fist into the goblin's skull, sending him crumpling to the ground.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Nonlethal Damage: 1d3 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

"First, do no harm."

The goblin is really, really, really unconscious. I've revealed sections of the map. Let me know when you guys move into a new room. Sections blocked by fog of war are behind a closed door.

Male Half-Elf Bonded Witch/Trap-Breaker Alchemist 01

Choosing to step past most of the group, Petros made his way towards the goblin, kneeling in beside it he muttered "If you'd like, I can bring him back, though I do have to ask...does anyone here actually speak whatever it is these green buggers speak?"

He inspected the creature's wounds, determining how, if in anyway, he might be able to treat it.

Heal Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

"Speaking of, I can probably heal you as well Dorin...though, fair warning, I've never actually used that ability on a dwarf before. I'm expecting a result somewhere between flesh mending itself and your beard turning into literal stone."

Male Dwarf Fighter / Warpriest of Torag Level 1

Dorin nodded at Petros before taking a step forward and picking up his pack, slipping it back on to his shoulders. "Aye lad, that do sound the finest. Even if my beard do turn to stone!"

Female Aasimar (Angelkin) Alchemist (Beastmorph, Vivisectionist) // Paladin (Temple Champion) 2

"I hate to spoil our moment of victory, but once we're done patching up our wounds, does anyone have a preference about where we go from here?
I'm fine with continuing around the edge of the tower, but I think we ought to move quickly."

HP 14/20 Human Alchemist (Vivisectionist) // Magus (Bladebound, Kensai) 1

"Speed is key, agreed, but I have no preference."

You are able to determine that the punch delivered by Kaley to the Goblin will likely keep it under for several hours, although smelling salts would be able to resuscitate him enough to talk. Additional injury of any form however, may compact with his existing wounds, and lead to permanent damage however.

He's near a point where more nonlethal damage would need to be changed over to lethal damage if he was injured.

Male Half-Elf Bonded Witch/Trap-Breaker Alchemist 01

Extending his ring towards Dorin, Petros pressed it to his side. Closing his eyes and sighing, Petros drew from the buzzing center of arcane power that burned within his chest. The energy flowed up his arm and into the ring, where it hummed against Dorin's flesh.

Heal Hex: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Blinking his eyes open and staring from Kaley to Coglen with a look of confusion, Petros waited for the buzzing that was leaving his arm numb to abide.

"Wait, why would we need to hurry?"
