First of all sorry about all the drama, I can be notoriously bad at making PC creation decisions.
My thoughts:
No, I am a shifter.
The Wolfshape Primary Power is identical to the Druid Wildshape, the Secondary is an attack Vs. AC (@ + 3) with d10 rather than my current Vs. Ref, d8 & a slide.
Now the Utility would be an option instead of my current utility? Because otherwise (it's an extra) that's very nice.
Explorer - Quite flavourful, Luce already has a walking move upto 11. So ignoring terrain = meh
Primordial - Nice, I'm lacking close blasts & cold will be Luce's chosen element.
Seer - That can be really useful, I suppose. Good flavour.
Primal Guardian - Marking very good, unless it's 1/encounter like the multi-class.
Elemental Priest - Luce just picked up something similar to this with her Shamen spirit. So a second spirit to summon would probably take too many standards. Though it may fit.
Fey Beast Tamer - This sounds really nice, I am not sure Luce has enough actions to make full use of it. Although it's only the actual attacks that cost extra.... Very Good. Though Luce might also start summoning as a Druid!
Animal Master - Nice, but a larger hunting dog (or Betsy) could work better. CA doesn't help too much - when she can use her spirit or herself to allow a flank. Or she could have taken a different Utility and turned into a small creature herself.
Earthforger - Burst nice, Resistance very useful. Fluff alright
Firecrafter - Damaging aura very nice. Fluff, not so good
Oracle of the Evil Eye - That has some really nice fluff

Got flooded (ground floor only and more smelly than tragic, but still a pain).
Yup. If you just make sure you note your final position square, I can always rebuild. I keep home notes for the monsters. Although in this case I wouldn't relish having to reposition all of them, which is calling certain doom down on my head.
We ain't doing too bad, I can transform and (if lucky) knock V1 into burst range of V2. Which breaks you from any restraint. Unfortunately I cannot use an AP to Chill wind them both....
...unless can you bull-rush without charging or moving?
And my Beastie (Spirit Companion) keeps S1 locked there.
worst part is that Rev went for my 'bait' and I couldn't capitalize.
Attacking my mount does provoke my mark equivalent.
That said, I'm still not 100% on how to use a mount in combat. I do know all Mounted Combat does is eliminate the penalty for the mount to hit in combat, but do I get that instead of my attack or with?
No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30
Generally, unless the mount stats say otherwise, you only get the same number of actions in mounted combat than you would otherwise. So you and your mount share actions. In this case, you would use your mount for the move action and probably take the attack and minor actions yourself. What the Mounted Combat feat allows you to do is gain the benefit that the mount provides you with in its stats, assuming you are the right level. So you probably need to check its stats as they are pertinent. Mounted combat is a bit of an afterthought in the DMG, rather than being in the PHB where it arguably should be.
okay thanks for that clarification, Aubrey. I did some snooping, and found out that MC USED to be needed to use a mount's extra abilities, but was removed some time ago, now simply removes that -2 to hit when attacking via mount.
well if you get an OA, I at least get a free swing at him, plus the OA is at -2. I can slow him with that hit, and the next one could do some knockdown
I believe Rev said they're 15 feet up? so without reach, 10 ft up is where you need to be, I guess.
D'oh because I climbed 1 square (5ft?), with my last 2 movement points. I was hoping to knock him out of it, jump on him and then run off to another tree.
It did. Really good audiences. That's my son in the middle, looking intense and gloom stricken. Now up to my neck in bags and bags of costumes to be washed.
"A life of dedication and valor yields rewards upon the field of battle, M'lady"
Knights pretty much only use MBAs so its easier to focus on them, like the Bracers of Mighty Striking. +2 to damage on MBAs only. The Knight's aura is what lets me slow on an MBA, and World Serpent's Grasp lets me knock down those who are slowed or immobilized.
"T' way Knight takes care of 'is charge (or charger) doest 'im credit" Luce thinks.
Yeah I suppose the MBA's are quite nice especially if you combined them with multi-classed at-will's that count as MBA's (like the barbarian or druids)
Or Paladin! Unfortunately, Essentials classes cannot do multiclass, as well most of the abilities specifically say they need an MBA, and I do not think things such as Virtuous Strike would technically be able to capitalize. While it is able to BE an MBA, it is not one for all intents and purposes.
That said, There's more than one nifty Bard ability or Warlock ability that hits AFTER an MBA. Dimensional Step with a Knight would be most amazing...
I see two things I need to buy. Impenetrable barding (resist 5 for the mount when ridden), and a mirrored caparison (makes mount immune to area attack 1/enc)
I have enough cash for one of em, I am disappoint I did not find it until after I started play.
well ,maybe after you walk around in her shoes a bit more it'll become clear. Personally I think most of the ones you gave a run down on are all winners.
Don't speak to me about man-flu. I can sympathise, I can buy appropriate drugs and I'll be nice about it. I don't need the puppy-eyed self-pity that comes with the deal around our place.
