You can go down the stairs, which leads to doors, which leads to stairs. When you are ready, you may decide to go down the stairs.

This large room is lit by tracks of glowing panels of light set in the ceiling, ten feet above. To the west, the room ends in a ragged wall of rubble, rock, and twisted metal, while to the East, a ten foot-diameter circular platform sits on the ground before a pair of large doors. Rectangular panels of glass adorn the large doors between crude paintings of a mechanical talon.


As you start to examine the room, the eastern doors burst open and several half orcs enter the room. Each wears a spiked gauntlet and chain shirts. They form a perimeter around you.

"Challengers against Hellion's might. What fools. What do you think you can accomplish against a God?" The male half orc says. He looks to be of a higher position than the others based on his clothing and stance.

Tess's first arrow stabs into the thigh of the nearby acoltye. The other arrow bounces off a coppery looking shield with a blood red metal claw painted on the front.

Almost worked, Alexis. Intimidate roll was just a little low.

The half orcs furrow their brows and stare in confusion at the bard. One of them mutters, "I don't understand. We're not Smilers..."

Čemifobbar starts a bloodrage and and attacks the nearest acolyte (green) with his tried and true +1 falchion. He's also going to use power attack try and cleave into the adjacent half-orc acolyte (yellow) as well.
This is to use the Frightful Charger ability to Stagger the leader

The two acolytes try to climb the pit, while the leader, Nalakai, sends out a burst of negative energy.

Everyone can make a Will Save, DC 14, to halve the following damage. It is negative energy.

Negative Channel Energy damage: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
Take all of that damage.

Climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

The acolytes are unable to get footing and remain at the bottom of the pit.

Edit: Is Nalakai in the pit? You need to have line of effect to have channeling effect you. Tess is standing over the pit so she's hit regardless, but it effects the others.

That negative energy channel shouldn't have an affect on Čemifobbar, should it? Because of Negative Energy affinity for Dhampirs? You think I'd get that right by now (bad week!). I don't think it should heal him (he's at full HP anyway.

Nalakai is in the pit. If you are at the edge of the pit, you can take the 1 or 2 damage. I mean, do you want to waste a roll on this?

Kharamell, Tessara and Cemifobbar finish off the remaining half orcs. As Nalakai dies, he maintains a smug smile on his face. The pit raises up as the spell ends, revealing three prone believers of Hellion.

Battle is over.

"Might as well see what they had."
Nyssa begins to search the bodies of the religious fanatics.
