Nyssa pulls on the sliding door, using the strange metal handle affixed to the metal door.
This large chamber contains several metal tables adorned with tangles of strange devices sporting metallic, articulated arms, many of which end in blades, needles, saws, or other implements of surgery. The whole area reeks of blood and old guts, and telltale rusty brown stains besmirch the floor and walls. Lighting is provided by several burning skulls sitting here and there throughout the room.
On the sides of the room are undead creatures with drill arms, metal jaws and other attachments on their bodies.
There is a hobgoblin on the eastern end of the room beside a wooden drawer and behind a table. She is wearing leather surgeon's clothing.
"Oh good timing. I was running out of experiments." The hobgoblin brandishes a glowing wand in her hand, and yanks at a blood-stained lever beside her.
Suddenly, you hear exhaust being vented from the tubes in the other room. The glass on the tubes lowers and the strange humans are freed. They moan incomprehensibly and shake as they stir awake. The naked ratfolk's tube does not open.

Valt and Iophiel stride away with total coordination, and while the summoner positions himself out of reach from the strange creatures and starts chanting to energize his allies, the angel faces two of them and swings her sword taking advantage of the exteme speed the spell gives to her.

Valt is struck by a surprisingly nimble lobotomite. The greatclub makes a cracking noise against his back. The other humans recently freed from the tubes swing sluggishly and either miss the adventurers, or tap against their armor. Nyssa knocks aside the non-spinning metal drill but feels the other Rust Risen sink its metal jaw into her shoulder.

Wouldn't the one lobotomite hit him for 6 points, since he/it got 18 to hit? When Čemifobbar is bloodraging, his AC is 17, tops. More like 15 when he's doing a power attack. I've adjusted his stats to reflect taking 6 HP damage and getting 1 back through fast healing.

Tessara's magic creates arrows that burst from the lobotomite corpse and fly out to the other strange humans in the room.
Cem easily knocks down the human with the borrowed greatclub. A large purple bruise covers its face.
Alexis stabs at the human, the rapier stabs through cleanly, but doesn't seem to hurt the human as much.
Kraig moves past the human, which doesn't try to strike him, and punches one of the humans by Cem. It falls down with little sound.
