attack(goblin A) with greatsword + flank: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 152d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 6 = 17
The goblin spins chittering away from Gisdrock, bending down to dodge under his spear thrust. Anton grins evilly at the half Orc and then shifting decapitates the goblin with a clean oblique stroke. Turning from the gout of blood that quickly soaks a flap of hide dangling from the rent in his armor, he moves menacingly to the prone, disarmed goblin on the ground near Tiberu.
Let's see if this one can tell us any more than the last. He's uninjured, so he should last so much longer than his cousin once I start flaying the skin from his broken legs.

can you deal non-lethal damage or simply ready an attack for if he does try to get up and run?

Dark Archive

The fallen goblin stands again readying his sword.

Here is how everyone stands(pcs are up)
Gisdrok: 12/12
Anton: 6/10
Tiberu: 9/9
Goblin rider: -13 (down)
Goblin mount: -10 (down)
Goblin A: -20(dead)
Goblin B: -28(dead)
Goblin C: Standing
Goblin D:-15(dead)

attack of opportunity with dirty trick to blind goblin + flanking + rising from prone: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
not sure if 1) I can use AoO to grapple, and besides would have to drop my sword to prevent a -4, I think, and 2) not sure if I get the extra +4 as he is standing up or not. Either way, looks like the trick hits.

Anton quickly picks up a handful of dust from the cobbles and tosses it into the goblin's face as it stands up. Sheathing the his sword with one hand, he reaches for the goblin's sword arm to swing it behind the goblin and lock it in place.
Attack to Grapple: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Sweeping the goblin around, he practically dislocates it's arm as he contorts the creature uncomfortably.
Can you help me here Tiberu?
I think this should still provoke an AoO by the goblin, but it will be blinded with a broken weapon. By my estimation he can hit me but even at max dmg I would still overcome his CMD. Of course, if he did hit me with max dmg on his AoO, he could try and hit me again next round, and if that, too, hit, I'd potentially be in trouble with only 6hp left. But I think that's unlikely.

Dark Archive

Because Tiberu tripped him before the attack was resolved the weapon did not break. Additionally I think there are more actions here then you can do. So far this round you attacked and killed Goblin A, stepped over to goblin C, then used an AoO, then attacked again. I think this is my fault I meant to type the that PCs were still up, rather then up again. We can hold your rolls and actions until the next round but we are still waiting on Tiberu and Gisdrok to act in the first round before we can move the the second. You can attack in the surprise round to do nonlethal Damage if you would like, this also provokes an AoO but like you said there is not much chance of the goblin doing significant damage.

Attack+Luck: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 1 = 241d8 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 1 = 11
The goblin stands for a second time to meet the tip of Tiberu's spear with the middle of his chest. Tiberu flows forward with the successful thrust allowing the spear to pivot upward as the goblin falls back allowing Tiberu to move to assist with the final wounded goblin.

Hmm, I had a long post, but I realize now that we had not completed the round as the goblin still had his standard action to take, rising from the ground. He would actually have completed that prior to my move, so there would have been no attack of opportunity. I had thought you had moved on and all this was happening in the next round.

So, scratch the last post, plus Tiberu just killed him anyway, so:
Is this map correct?

Dark Archive

We lost Rounds and order there for a second but I think I have a handle on what happened As Gisdrok moves forward and slices the goblin, wounding him, Tiberu stabs cleanly through the standing form of the goblin he faces, killing him. While the goblin is distrasted by Gisdrock Anton swings to kill the now wounded goblin, however his sword is deflected at the last minute the goblin AC is 16, and anton rolled a 15. All actions subsequent to these are gone, and we can redo them now.
Here is how we stand

Now that all of the goblins have fallen the gentleman, who was hiding behind the water barrel, strides over to Tiberu with his hand extended, grasping Tiberu’s hand with both of his. ”Thank god you came, sadly not in time for my dog but all the same. The way you fought those devilish goblins is a sight I will never forget. You simply must join me in the Rusty Dragon for dinner soon. Still shaking Tiberu’s hand he looks to the rest of the group “I will be staying here for only a few more days, please you must all come to dinner and allow me to reward you for your heroic actions, you must!” Glancing around nervously, clearly looking for more goblins, he finally lets go of Tiberu’s hand and runs off to the south towards the Rusty Dragon Inn, stopping at corners of buildings to scout and occasionally hiding behind wagons, barrels or stands for a few moments after a noise startles him.

You pin the goblin then truss him up ready for questioning.

Anton turns to Tiberu Do you know that man? He seems eager to be off, especially considering there is still fighting going on and the town is on fire. And speaking of fire, we don't have any to aid this interrogation I am afraid. We'll have to drown him in water instead. I imagine he will be gibbering mostly in Golbin. It's funny how drowning makes one forget anything but the mother tongue.

What can this goblin tell us about why they are here? Name of the "longshanks" behind this? Does he know anything about the graveyard? Who was that on the goblin-dog? What were they to do with that man and his dog?

Anton casually grabs a bucket from on the carts and speaks divine invocation. The bucket literally overflows with clear cool water, spilling on the packed sand and rough cobbles.

Know of him more than know him. He is Alderen Foxglove. He is a local noble, not one of the families who settled this area. He is a noble from Magnimar who owns an estate a little way south of here.

Tiberu searches the bodies while Anton and Grisdrok question the Goblin. He will translate if the goblin slips into his native language out of terror.

He will take 10 (total 12 Perception)

Dark Archive

The goblin does return to goblinoid, it seemed only to know a few words, like hurt and no, in common. The goblin begins to rant on about goblins of the area and the rewards for this raid. Sadly he know no more then the last goblin about who sent them or why the bones were taken. As for who the rider was, he seems confused, he was just a raid band leader no one special. The same goes for the cowering longshanks, though seeing a dog die is always a good time.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 Anton trades off with Tiberu and completes the search of the area.

Then, Spontaneous casting Cure Light Wounds on Gisdrok: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Aren't we right at our Inn?

I'll need at least an hour's of devotion to Gorum before I can call on him again, and ideally a quiet night to allow me to access his favor fully. It seems this goblin knows nothing- you may dispose of him as you wish, although I'll need my rope back.

Shall we finish the investigation down south? Or plan to follow up with this noble at the Rusty Dragon? Or find out what the authorities think all this is about? Maybe turning in this goblin would let them ask better questions. The Innkeeper at the White Deer should be able to summon the sheriff for us.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

I suppose it depends if the raid has run its course yet or not. If it is done then Tiberu would like to return to the graveyard as quickly as possible.
With the interrogation finished Tuberu takes out his dagger and open's the goblin's throat.
Coup de Grace: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (4, 3) + 8 = 15
A gentler end then it deserves and far nicer than I think it would have received from the townsfolks.
He tosses Anton is rope then cleans his spear and knife.

Dark Archive

Looking around you notice for the first time that silence has descended on Sandpoint. Smoke rises from several points all over town, but you do not hear the sounds of panic that would come along with any building fires. The past few minutes have been so frantic and busy that looking at the sky you can hardly believe that the sun has only just set and the sky is still a bright blue. Sheriff Hemlock and several of the towns guard come limping from the North gate. ” Looks like you gentlemen kept yourself busy during the raid" He sighs with obvious exhaustion "Th north gate was left open, and they came swarming out from under a wagon in the center of town. Goblins are sneaky bastards but I'll not believe they did all this alone. Some one or something helped them plan this out." Hemlock gives a harrumph or displeasure, and looks south "I will need to be off to check how the rest of town faired through this... new unpleasantness" . With that he looks to start ambling off south, unless someone wants to speak with him before he leaves.

Tiberius will stop him with am urgent hand on his arm. The raid was just a distraction. The main target was the graveyard. The remains of Father Tobyn's remains were taken and Atsuii Kaijitsu's grave stone desecrated. More may have been done but we had no time with all the fighting going on. We could only follow the tracks to the wall. None of us are woodsmen. Do you have anyone to spare I would like to pursue as quickly as possible.
I added the loot of value to my profile. If you think we should take anything else let me know.

Gisdrok stays nearby waiting to see what happens next
Gisdrok doesn't really talk much so he wont have much to say in town

Anton stands behind Tiberu and listens to his impassioned plea to the sheriff.
Listen, sheriff, I think this young pup has things turned around. Your men are haggard, you are exhausted, your town likely has another dozen goblins still pillaging, and your townsfolk are scared. We, on the other hand, have helped rid you of this scourge, and done so without a scratch, as well as uncovering the real reason behind this raid- the theft of a worm ridden corpse and some chips from a tombstone. All of this is a 'you' problem, and if you'd like to make it a 'my' problem, some consideration in addition to a borrowed woodsman would be in order... as clearly you and your men will not be up to this task.

Dark Archive

The sheriff blinks looking from Tineru to Anton. "Sadly the only woodsman who I can say is even unofficially associated with me or the town guard is out in the woods at the moment, She usually only checks in one or twice a year unless she has found something." He signals the rest of he guardsmen to continue into town. "Thank you for all your help today, I will check with Father Zantus on the disturbance in the graveyard. If all we lost today was the remains of Father Tobyn, we will have been lucky. Father Tobyn is beyond hurting where his is now." Then he shakes his head "Where are my manners today, I never got your names..." He trails off expectantly.

I am Tiberu Silvanus. With no tracker any chase would be pointless. The goblins mentioned the attack was paid for by a "Longshanks" but had no other details.

I am Gisdrok Balbrulk, Musket Master then quietly to Anton and Tiberu maybe we could find this woods-woman ourselves.

Dark Archive

"I am Belor Hemlock, sherif and head of the town guard. I will speak with the mayor about compensation for your aid today, as well as any possibility of hiring you in the future." He sighs wearily, "Hopefully this was just a odd event and we will be able to put everything behind us and move forward." Glancing at the White Deer Inn nearby, "Once I have spoken to the mayor and council I will come here to find you. It is nice to see that someone is staying here despite my brothers cold adherents to the old ways."

Since we are in front of the inn Tiberu will head back to his room to drop off loot. After that he will want to return to the grave yard to finish his search (Take 20) and do a sweep with detect magic.

Anton will pack up any gear he had not taken with him to the consecration to be ready for a quick departure. A quick clean up of his gear will be in order, too, and then prepare Detect Magic and Detect Undead in his empty slots.
Looks like it will take about 20-30 minutes to do so.

He turns to Gisdrok and Tiberu as the sheriff walks away: It's true we may be able to find this woodswoman, Orcling, but not in the dark and not without replenishing Gorum's favor. The trail will be cold by the time these small town "nobles" figure out that they need us, as they will all be jockeying to see who will appear the most "compassionate" and "strong" in this crisis. The town, in contrast, will be brimming with news and tongues will be loosened by fear. Tiberu- I can finish searching the graveyard top to bottom and tracking out as far as possible with Gisdrok. You should head into town and hear what it being said in the market, and then we can meet in the Rusty Dragon as the guard calls Compline. Your little noble should be drinking by then, and we can find out what he has to say.

If Gisdrok is willing, I'll take 20 in the search, and with his help this will be a 30. I'll use Detect Undead, Light, and Detect Magic to help search the area for any lingering auras, as well.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Not a bad set of rolls :)

Gisdrok is willing to take the time to take a twenty I will help you search.

Dark Archive

Gisdrok and Anton search the entire grave yard from end to end, taking a full hour. During this time Father Zantus, Sheriff Hemlock, and Mayor Deverin come to the back of the cathedral to survey the ground and talk quietly. None of them approach either of you or leave the steps.

During your search you find a few footprints that are larger then the goblin prints, booted, possibly human or some humanoid. You find nothing else of note in this area, no magic or undead auras.

Meanwhile Tiberu heads into town, to talk to the locals in the wake of the chaos. You will only have time for the first roll if you want to meet Gisdrok, and Anton in the Rusty Dragon to see Alderen Foxglove While in town you hear many rumors as to who opened the north gate or left a ladder leading against the wall, but none seem to have any backing. Several People were not at the festivities, but that is not odd some people just like the quiet.

You know that the Kitsune family has had some difficulties in the recent past. First the second child born to the family was a half-elven child, and the husband, Lonjiku, is human, just like his wife, Atsuii. This child was sent away to be raised in a monastery and never heard from again. Then their first born daughter, Ameiko(now the owner of the Rusty Dragon), left home and become an adventure for a few years before coming home for her mother funeral. About five years ago, just before the fire and the chopper, Atsuii fell from the back porch of their cliffside manor to her death.

Tiberu will meet the others at the Rusty Dragon. Maybe Ameiko would have more information. Walking in to the in Tiberu heads to the bar and orders am ale keeping an eye out for the others, Alderan and Ameiko.

Dark Archive

By the time you all gather at The Rusty Dragon the common room of the inn is only about a quarter full. Most of the residents are home inspecting damage to their home or grateful there isn't any. Ameiko is wiping unnecessarily at the table top looking pensive. Alderen Foxglove is sitting in one corner near the fire place, staring into his goblet of dark red wine. When you walk in both Ameiko and Alderen look up with most of the rest of the common room. Several people raise a ragged cheer at the sight of the three of you, and Ameiko calls you by name and offers drinks, on the house.

Alderen has stood up from his table, slightly wobbly, and is looking admiringly at all you, however most of his focus is clearly on Tiberu, and his assortment of weaponry. His face slips into a grin and he calls over to you to join him for a night cap.

Anton takes the accolades as his due, settling into a warm seat by the fire and motioning to the serving girl to bring him ale and a warm meal. He scans the faces in the room for anybody that appears out of place, then sits back to listen to Tiberu's conversation with Alderen.
