It might be best to sell the pipes. Without training in Perform for them we are at best using a standard action to have a 1 in 3 chance to activate an item that is negated by a DC 13 will save and will not effect creatures one level higher than us. The will sell for 3000 gold.

I am good with you keeping the ring Ab. Seems to fit your character. Not sure you can really beef up fragile comrades with gear. Better to keep them out of combat somehow.

Concur, Segang. I think it's a big miss for us in execution, but it is giving an indication of some draconian measures being put in place. Seems a bit misguided for a disease outbreak.
We need to focus on solving that issue ... finding the source / finding a cure.

I rather blame myself. :-\ I honestly thought it'd be a good way to defuse the situation... but now I can't help but think this whole situation was a setup. My questioning of the 'mob leader' may provide some information.

I am certainly not unhappy that we saved that guy. I am just unsure it was the goal conceived by the module writers. All I can think of is that if we had managed a DC 30+ Diplomacy we could have calmed things down. Unsure of course.

If he had an assignment to cause a riot and lead all those civilians to their deaths, I'd need to take 20 for a Bluff check convincing enough to make the wererats believe he's our precious friend we're sacrificing to them to soothe their rage...

I think we maybe could have convinced him to surrender to the guards. Cherias will be improving Diplomacy further at next opportunity. A circlet of persuasion would be very useful.
