Suny leans closer to the captain, "I done bin hearin' of tales...." She whispers.

Suny large, blue eyes seem to grow even wider as the enormity of the terror about which she speaks brings all possible manner of fear to the plucky Elven lass' heart.

For the life of me, I cannot remember the name of the cove we just explored. Blood Cove? I'm going to call it Blood Cove, but PLEASE assume that Arjun would have used the correct title.

"Hurricane King!" Arjun shouts boldly and enthusiastically above the din of court. "It would be my pleasure to tell you of our exploits in Blood Cove. A place of fear and mystery, we visited for the purpose of seeking treasure. After successfully defeating a rival pirate, a story to regale you with on another day, we set foot on the atoll. A search through steaming jungle brought us to a limestone cave. Deep, deep into the earth it plunged, dark and forbidding, and we followed. We searched through the lightless depths. It was not barren, though! It was teeming with sahuagin! We put the miserable fishmen to the blade and continued down, down into their hive of offal and stink. At the very end, we found none other than a sahuagin matron, with an undead horror as her personal servant! We fought them long and hard, several of us almost dying in the struggle. But we are the Malevolent Grace, and we do not die easily. As with the others of their vile brood, the matron and her pet were defeated. It was then we found their prisoner. None other than a locathah priestess, held captive as a hostage! The priestess was so thankful for her release, that she bestowed a blessing of their fishy god upon our heads, and feasted us at a celebration at the bottom of the ocean!"

The crowd becomes much quieter as your story unfolds. When you finish, a pair of hecklers in the back begin to shout their disbelief. A tall tale indeed. Many a bard has made a better one than that.
Another one continues, Could have at least made one up with some mermaids and Gozreh himself as well.

Kerdak Bonefist slams his tankard of ale down on the table before him trying to encourage quiet I the crowd before he speaks. Being unsuccessful he fires his pistol into the air.
Quiet falls throughout the banquet.

Noro turns her attention to the hecklers. that was something she experienced a lot in her youth, and that usually was worse than just words.

She took a few steps toward them but the sudden pistol blast stopped her before things got real messy.

but the look in her eye indicated she was ready to shove someone's head up someone's ass.

Noro turned back toward her companions when the revelry started back up.

Arjun smiles a mischievous smile at the announcement of the Hurricane King. "Looks like we're bona fide. All right, all right." He joins in the revelry, chatting up some members of the "court."

Arjun would like to find out the specific privileges and obligations of the letter of marque.

After getting a feel for the crowd, he finds who appears to be the most in-the-know and asks them about the imp that was discovered in the keep. Was it a spy? Kerdak wouldn't have personally shot it in the head if it were just a vagrant. Who is working against him?

Harrigan is fairly well respected, but has not been seen around here lately. As far as a base of operations, he spends a lot of time out to sea but does not have a particular port he favors over another.

Arjun:

An old pirate is more than happy to bring you up to speed on letters of marque. In a voice filled in equal parts with darkness and awe Letters of Marque are issued to ships not individuals in the Inner Sea. They grant the Hurricane King's permission to hunt ships within the Inner Sea. They are sure evidence that their bearer is a pirate and carry with them a sentence of death by hanging if captured by a foreign ship. As such they have a built in disguise and can be made to look like just a normal document if their owner desires.

@ Noro, you have plenty of rum back on the ship, but the ship is back in the harbor and you swam over here.

Letter of Marque:

Scribed with a firm hand in blood-red ink and emblazoned with an elaborate seal of crimson wax, this thick, waxed paper grants its bearer license to attack and capture ships of enemy nations as a privateer. It is not an uncommon practice for nations of the Inner Sea to issue letters of marque and reprisal to their ships, but those issued in the pirate confederacy of the Shackles grant permission to engage in egregious acts of pillage and prize-taking, which can only be described as piracy by more lawful nations. Lawful letters of marque are issued to specific ships, not individuals, but in the Shackles, they are granted to a specific captain and his or her officers. A Shackles letter of marque accords its bearer the authority to seize or destroy cargo, incarcerate or slay crew and passengers, and sink or capture ships from other nations, mercantile or otherwise. Within the territorial bounds of the Shackles, these manifold privileges also apply against any ships or captains who haven’t sworn loyalty to a known Free Captain or who doesn’t carry their own letter of marque (though bearing a letter of marque is no guarantee of safety from other pirates, who frequently strike first and ask questions later).

Possession of a Shackles letter of marque is a crime in most civilized nations and regularly carries a penalty of death by hanging. As a result, a Shackles letter of marque is protected by a secret page spell, enabling its bearer to speak a secret command word to alter the text to something more innocuous, such as a cargo manifest, nautical chart, or page from a ship’s log.

It’s common knowledge within the Shackles who has been granted letters of marque, and most Free Captains keep accounts of which ships and captains have them, making it extraordinarily difficult to forge these documents or steal them to perpetrate a deception.

A Shackles letter of marque radiates faint transmutation magic.

Calah joins in the revelery of her crew and the other pirates present.
She looks to her left and hears Noro give a short introduction.

Calah laughs generously at Noro falling over. " You should drink with the rest of us more often Noro, you can join most of the crewmembers that find themselves in positions during the evenings." Calah says to her (normally) sturdy friend.

She stands up from the bench to present herself properly before the newcomer with a mug of ale in her hand.
"It would be a pleasure to meet the lady tomorrow. Let's say noon. That should give Noro here enough time to get her feet under her again." Calah says with a smile and a wink at her downed companion as she pokes Noro softly with the point of her boot.

She leans a little closer and pushes her half full mug into the man's hands.
"If you want to draw less attention you might want to down what's rest in that mug and laugh with the rest of us. You stand out as much as an elephant in a rowboat." Calah whispers in his ear.
She leans back again and slaps him on his shoulder whilst laughing at an apparent joke.

Noro rolls over in an attempt to stand, I can get on my feet jusht fine...watch she manages to stand. and within seconds is dancing around in circles doing her best to keep her feet eventually falling into Calah's arms. shee, I can even dance.. she adds with a half smile.

Noro is spending the night there, or perhaps she is passed out there unless someone wants to carry her back to the ship.

The morning comes quickly for some, less quickly for others. Noro's head pounds with the morning sun. Almost a quart of rum by herself seemed like a good idea at the time. For those that stayed behind, the hall is still mostly filled with revelers beginning to wake from the night's festivities. Judging by the sun, you have about 4 hours until noon.

Suny untangles herself from whom ever she's found to snuggle the night away. Yawning and stretching she pads on bare, brown feet to the harbor for a relaxing and refreshing swim before skipping back into town and spending shine on a simple yellow silk wrap and sandals. has a light breakfast from one of the taverns/inns/establishments about the town and other wise whiles away the time before the meeting that had been arraigned the previous evening

Noro simply lays there for a bit. shielding her eyes from the morning light.

damn, what the hell? How much did I drink lasht night? she stumbles to her feet. and takes in the situation.

her first instinct is to check her belongings, then to see if she was with anyone.

next she looks for a familiar face. noticing Sunny and Arjun she gives them both a raised eyebrow.

stumbling for a water barrel, Noro does her best to clean herself up, and get a drink of water. tossing the empty rum bottle aside.

she hears Dim mention cake. the words penetrate her ears and shoot straight to he head with a throbbing pain. you can take that cake and... she never finishes her sentence before succumbing to the pain again. ahhh...f*!* it.

As her sleeping companion untangles herself from Calah, her eyes open and she manages to just tap the pretty dame's shapely bum and smiles at her response. Calah joins Suny in the morning swim and prays to the water spirits per her usual ritual.
When she returns she makes sure her crew is awake and relatively fresh so that they can meet Lady Fairwind at her manor at the appropriate time.

The swim back to the shore is uneventful and the cool water is refreshing, especially to Noro who is still recovering. Arriving back on the ship you have plenty of time for a little morning shopping or a little more shut eye.

There are two routs that can be taken to Lady Fairwind's manor. The direct route is through the seedier part of town. A less direct route would take you outside the walls and through the surrounding jungle.

Whilst Calah is walking alongside the town and she notices the tail, she waves Arjun over.
"A tail, man, black cloak. You and Dimi make yourselves invisible and double back to see what is going on. Don't kill unless it is their motive as well. It might just be some curious onlookers." She whispers to him.
She whistles a few tones and Havok, who is flying overhead, flies a little lower and keeps his eyes open for any agression against the group.
