At age 16, when his family wanted him to apprentice to the family business, Kallin instead put hit natural physical strengths to use as a sailor on one of the merchant vessels. As it was a safe route, Kallin found himself being part of a group (mostly mercenaries) who fought for fun with bare knuckles and nothing else. Kallin excelled, and in no time when they returned back in Port Shaw was involved in the pit fights at the Broken Skull in the Bawd District.
For the last three years, he's been alternating between the fights and shipping out to keep his sailing skills to par. His biggest concern recently is that his family discovered that he was staying at the Eight Pence in the Tide District and that they considered an embarrassment. Several times he's been 'urged' to return home, but each time he hasn't, much to the family consternation.

Okay, I've gone and done a quick add for some of the aspects of being an 'Ocean elf'.
There is an Elven trait which allows DR to elemental damage (Worth 5 points).
I'd actually like to re-arranging traits to be able to take both 'Hot' and 'Cold'. Since Suny will be spending time both skipping about on tropical beaches and swimming in the deeper ocean. Thoughts/Comments?
Other than that? Yup, I could 'Build' the Ocean Elf, if the DM really wants that level of HeroLab detail.
Other than that, it's time to swap shine for shiny stuff. (^_^)

A... question for the DM.
There are alchemical items/weapons known as 'Lightning bottles'.
For thematic effect, would the Dm allow said items to be mounted/affixed to light or other wise x-bow 'stocks' and hence be used as such? No other details being needed. Character simply pulls out glowing, flickering item and points it at bad guy/target, pulls trigger and 'Blam', fires the lighting...

*Bows* No... just something that would 'look' cool/interesting. Instead of simply holding the lightning bottle and opening the top.
The character has the lightning bottle 'affixed' to the stock of the x-bow. Holds out said contraption and looks down the length of it.
"See this...? THIS is my BOOM-stick! This a cumulus cloud charged, single-bottle Binbiddle special. Port Shaw's top of the line. You can find this on the sporting goods shelving of the general store. That's right, this sweet baby was made in right here in Port Shaw, Razor-coast. Retails for about... oh... seventy five gold plus some six silver. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger.

Also, per "grenade launcher" crossbows... There exists a "sling crossbow" which essentially is the cup of a bra on a high tensile string attached to a light crossbow. It can launch anything a sling could. (Sized up that could be potion bottles) for your consideration DMBW.

I'm fine with my wispy strangle-y hair and explody spells.Though, I'm also ok with healing the dumb dumbs who shatter their glass vials of universal solvent all over their arms... Hearing the crass pirate insult the goddess of fire, the Water Ghost, who has mysteriously risen from the waves to be standing upon the water beside the ship, lifts her hand and points at the blasphemer. A moment later a pea sized ball of flame shoots forth. When it strikes the man, it bursts into flame engulfing the ship and all the invader crew.
The Three and Pele have judged you wanting. Judgment has been rendered.
With that, the Water Ghost sinks into the waves as quietly as she arrived.
