The king is dead! In the Varisian port city of Korvosa, the death of a monarch leads to chaos, and only a small group of heroes can hope to save the city from its own darkest tendencies.

Casting: When casting a spell defensivly if you fail you do not automaticly lose the spell, rather you provoke an attack as you normally would for not casting defensive. If you are hit you must make a concentration check dc 10+damage taken if you fail this check you lose the spell.
Rolls:
Many rolls will be handled by the GM in secret.(don't worry, I don't fudge.)
Any result that can influence the character behavior will not be rolled open.
Rolls that will be handled by the GM:
Perception
Sense Motive.
if you make the check I will send you a pm or make a post and put it in a spoiler depending on the situation.
Sometimes I will roll Initiative others I will ask you to roll depending on the situation. In some situation (rarely) I will bypass init entirely and have you all go first and enemies second or have enemies go first and you all go after.
Combat rules:
I'm a fair GM, I dont roll combat in secret, I don't change results, I don't ignore bad calls from the characters.
Sometimes, character dies, but I'm not a player killer, if I think that an encounter will be easy handled, when it should be more challenging, I will make it a more challenging, if the party it's not prepared to face something, I will drop hints, if they insist... well killing one or two players never made me lack sleep...
Actions:
I'm a GM that do not punish the character for trying something new or cool, or even strange. Visual appealing actions are encouraged, the dc will of course depend on what are you trying, but you can try! If what you want to do is wicked cool, I can even bend the game mechanics to allow it! The most importat part is: You are villains. Villains are smart, resourceful and have style! Have you ever seen a memorable villain that could just swing his sword and do nothing more?
Posting Rate
If it could be done, I expect 1/day posting, if you can post more, it will really good.
During weekend, this rule does not apply. If you are able to post, great! But dont stress over this, everyone need some time to rest (In my case, I need time to play and DM :D on my tabletop games).
Level up
Aside from character creation, when you level up, if you want something not from core rulebook, you'll need to search it inside the game. basicly what you need to do is just show in game your character is searching for that knowledge. This rule is not meant to prohibit anything, I just don't like something like this: "Character always as a full caster, never picked up a sword in his entire life, and then he gain a new level and says: Master, I'll level up as a fighter now..."
Codename: "Falcon" Male 'Human' Divine Marksman Urban Ranger 5/Bard 2 (AC: 19 [T: 13 /FF: 16] -1 if using Buckler hand; CMD 20; HP: 58/58; F+5, R+10, W+4 [+1 vs. Mind-affecting]; Init: +4 (+6 in Kintargo); Perc: +14 (+16 in Kintargo) [Low-light vision])
Gregor finishes his preparations, by readying his shield, before swinging his blade at the other Maiden blocking the stairs. "Stand down Maidens, do you realize the orders you have been taking are hurting this city?"
Move, ready shield
Standard, Longsword on GM in C2 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 7 + 2 = 24 (+2 more if human). If that hits, damage 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 2 = 10 (+2 more if human).
Free, 5' step to A2.

Drakus grunts and Cleave attacks the maidens in front of him.
bardiche attack:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24 for a possible 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 slashing, magic and silver damage.
IF he hit, he cleaves across to the next maiden.
bardiche attack:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29 for a possible 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 slashing, magic and silver damage.
can you attack adjacent foes with a bardiche? I thought it was reach only. Will proceed assuming you can just wanted to check. Also Drakus you took 8 damage from the acid splash don't forget to mark it. Donagar could you add you hp save init and perception under your name?
Donagar misses.
Gregor hits a maiden for 12.
Everyone here is human gregor
Crain hits a maiden for 21 causing her to stumble as she is badly injured.
Assuming he can hit them Drakus downs the maiden injured by Crain and hits the other for 10.
Mai moves to d2 to flank with gregor and dazes the maiden between her and Gregor.
Enemies:
The remaining maiden who can act will take a step back to B6 and go full defensive.

Quite right, my reach weapon can't attack adjacent. I was attacking towards the stairs and those two maidens. they were ten feet away.
If there was only one left, instead of cleave I would make two separate attacks, the second one would be five points less; so the two attacks (using my rolls in the last post) would be 24 and 24 to hit.
On this turn, can I stop one of the acid attacks with my Missile Shield feat?
ok this is the third time I make this post hopefully it works this time...Going to say Drakus took a 5 foot step to b3 and attacked the two at the bottom so gregor and the maiden also take the 8 splash damage. You can block a vial of acid with missile shield but still take the splash damage so 4 damage instead of 8 from that one.

"Yearrr!" Drakus screamed as the acid hit, the tower shield sizzled as it blocked one of the acid bottles, but could not stop it altogether without him going completely turtle behind the shield. And he wasn't ready to do that yet.
He stepped back to (B,4) and lunge attacked the Maiden at (B,6).
bardiche attack 1:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32 for a possible 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 slashing, magic and silver damage.
...crit confirm?:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16 Not confirmed.
bardiche attack 2:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 for a possible 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 slashing, magic and silver damage.
The maiden is struck hard by Drakus and just barely managed to avoid the second attack from Drakus thanks to her defensive stance. She is still standing but badly injured.
Crain moves and in and lands a solid blow on an alchemist nearly taking him down.

Gregor had stepped to A2, not B2, last turn. Regardless, he will be stepping into B2 now.
Listening to the sizzle and pop of both gear and flesh, Gregor sucks air in between his teeth against the pain. "Drakus and Crain, stay in the faces of those two physicians. See if they are so eager to throw vials then." Turning his attention back to their destination, he steps up and pairs with Pai against the last maiden blocking their climb.
Male Human Fighter (Phalanx Soldier) L1 | AC22(T12FF20) CMD16 | hp 16/16 | Saves: F4R1W-1 | Percep -1 | Init: +1 | Status: OK
Drakus grunted as he stopped the maidens attack with his tower shield.
Seeing Crain flanked, he attacked past the maiden to the physician flanking him.
bardiche attack 1:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27 for a possible 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 slashing, magic and silver damage.
bardiche attack 2:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 for a possible 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 slashing, magic and silver damage.
You press on and climb the stairs when you reach the top of the stairs you see two more doctors waiting for you at the top. They are drinking potions as you arrive preparing to fight.
Codename: "Falcon" Male 'Human' Divine Marksman Urban Ranger 5/Bard 2 (AC: 19 [T: 13 /FF: 16] -1 if using Buckler hand; CMD 20; HP: 58/58; F+5, R+10, W+4 [+1 vs. Mind-affecting]; Init: +4 (+6 in Kintargo); Perc: +14 (+16 in Kintargo) [Low-light vision])
Gregor moves out of the way of the heavy hitters, knowing that compared to Crain and Drakus his hits are not as effective. "Good move Crain, don't give them a chance to strike. Move in team, if we keep them harried, we can push through to the Doctor himself before he can prepare for us."
Move, up and left of Donager, to between the stairs and the small table.
Standard, Bardic Performance (Inspire Courage): +2 atk/dmg and saves vs charm/fear.
Lasts rounds 1-3
diagonally towards the door he would be safe from Mai and Crain there. The living doctor is number 1 and to flank him mai would be in the bottom left corner. Anyway all you need to do is take a 5 foot step towards him and you can see him again.
