Like the character, and I'm okay with most of what you listed, but I'd prefer you to come up with your own allies and not use the Kobold Chieftain.

Sorry, missed replying to your question somehow. Yes, you could draw both as a free action in the same turn if you had Quick Draw + Quickdraw Shield (quick draw makes a move action into a free action, and the shield goes from swift to free.)

Can you throw all that information in your alias and update it for level 1 please?

I shall do that hopefully later today.

Idiot that I am, I pushed a button on my phone and, basically, the boards created me an alias that shouldn't exist. So now I need to come up with 10 interesting things to say before I can make a Moony alias. Well...I think only six more things to say now XP

Anyways, I'll work on it while I'm sitting in that seminar today.

Character Updated To needs.

Alias created...mostly anyways.

Uhmmm...starting health/wealth and stuff?

Not 100% on health, but I know Dunebugg said max starting wealth to a previous question about it.

'dis is true...lol...I page searched every version of the word 'wealth' except gold XP

@Azure
You have 21 point buy if I counted right

Yes, max starting wealth :)
And always max hp at first level.

@dunebugg Alias is up and running, all information transferred over. As a side note, how much detail did you want for our 3x3x3 as far as classes and the like? I had some ideas, but didn't want to step on your toes!

just giving a hand.
I have done recruitments before,

Still waiting on some applications to finish coming in. Also hoping to get a few more in before I make a selection! Leaving open until at least tomorrow evening.

dotting for interest, actually I am interested, just working on the back story.

Grand Lodge

I'm going to be using my Elros II for this.

Brief, he's an Elf Wizard (Controller/Summoner-late game) that grew up in a human soceity, a rather young Elf.

Will be working on my 3 allys, acquaintances and enemies, now. Give me some time please thanks.

Also you will note I have placed in my back story just what the GM asked for (I hope) a good explanation of where the his powers came from and why Saxon has the gift or cruel Joke of Psionics, after all the Stolen lands can be a Cruel place.

I had ???? because I could not read what your race or class was, when I glanced the profile.

Better late than never, my submission, a human paladin of Erastil.

Background:

You asked for my story friend so listen now. I will give the short one as the evening is short and we have much work to do tomorrow.

I was born in a small hamlet along the south border of Rostland in land belonging to the Rogarvia family. I hail from the Kellid hence my name. My father was a hunter and my mother kept the house. I don’t recall us being very poor, but there were never plenty food or cloths. I still think my family lives in the same hamlet, perhaps some of my siblings moved away, I doubt it.

That’s properly not what you want to know, so let me tell you, how and why I joined the order. My father was raising me to become a hunter, I wasn’t very good, but I grasped the basics of animals and so forth. We had previously met a huntsman named Iacobus, he worked for a local Surtovian Lord encroaching on the Rogarvian land. We always had friendly relations and helped each other out when required. But this day was different, he wasn’t alone, he had a hunting party with him, including the young lordling. That man had no respect for nature or animals and butchered without thought. I stupidly pointed that out and refused to apologise, when he demanded it. That let to a fight, which I won and with wounded pride he swore that he would ride me of his lands. Somehow it came to the knowledge of Origen, who arrived at my parents’ cottage and suggested that I should travel with him. At first my parents wasn’t sure, but I still have this feeling that my father knew him and trusted him and so I left.

The years went by and together we travelled the borderland, helping where needed. Origen used our travels to educate me in the ways of the order. His most important lecture was not everyone is persuaded by reason the first time and they should have a second time.

Oh… You want to know about some of my travels. Well I will tell you about three events.

The first one happened during the first year of my travels with Origen. We were asked to a village, where the hunters were disappearing. Strangely enough thise who returned had plenty of meat with them home, so there was no sign of displeasure from Erastil. We found the dismembered bodies of the hunters in the forest, torn to pieces by wild animals. It was however a druid who in misguided justice tried to revenge nature. We caught up with her and tried to talk her out of her plan but we failed and she escaped. That wasn’t the last time we encountered her.

Some times the wanderlust struck Origen and one of these times we travelled to the East Sellen River and sailed down the river into the River kingdoms. We hitched a rite with a merchant heading to Caliphas in Ustalav. Also travelling with the merchant was an elven man returning home from having visited Skywatch. Lanliss and I spent many hours on that river talking about what he had experienced near the tower and he educated me on elven society.

When we reached Mivon, we headed north again towards the border. We visited some of hamlets along the way. As we came closer to the border we learned that a couple of them had suffered from bandit raids and all lived in fear of when the next raid would strike. By sheer luck or divine intervention we caught up with them during a raid and managed to help the hamlet fight them off. I succeed in converting one of the raiders, Stichilo, afterwards and he is now a productive member of the community. However their leader Vors escaped lightly wounded missing most of his group.

Origen and I talked much afterwards about what could be done to help this region. We set the course for plains outside of Restov where we were to meet some of the other members of our order, from what I understood from Origen, it was a tradition to meet discussing the events in the past and what further actions might be taken. During the assembly a young woman rose and spoke passionately about the possibility of forming a new country south of the border, apparently the swordlords were issuing charters. Afterwards Origen and I spoke about this opportunity and we decided that I should try and secure a charter.

That however was not an easy thing to do. I travelled to Restov and discovered that many were trying to use this opportunity for various reasons. As I had no connections here, I had to wait like many others. I struck up conversation during these days of waiting with among others Menas, a cleric of Abadar. We talked about our different planes for the land and while they diverged quite a bit from each other, we were still able to take in a civilized manner, even friendly. The one day I was passed a charter when I arrived in the morning from a servant. I do not understand why, but I suspect that Yala might have been involved somehow.

Allies x3
Origen the peaceful is my old master, he initiated me into the order. That old geezer always listens and never judges before he has heard both sites of the story a truly remarkable man.
Stichilo, a young man following Vors, when offered mercy he accepted and now works heart to help the community he once raided.
Yala, cleric of Erastil, who suggested and supoorts the idea of a new country south of Brevoy as a mean to protect the border communities.

Acquaintances x3
Menas Lodska, is a cleric of Abadar I met in Restov, while trying to secure a charter. He is an honest man and while we disagree on many things I respect him.
Iacobus Huntsman, a huntsman in service of Lord Henric Surtova. He respects nature and though I have never asked I am sure he is a green devotee.
Lanliss, an Elven traveller returning home after having visited Skywatch. I learned a great deal from him during our short time together.

Rivals/Enemies x3
Vors the Brute, a leader of bandits terrorizing a group of hamlets on both sides of the border. We fought him and while he got away many of his companions did not. I suspect that he is trying to form a new group.
Annik, is a young Kellid druid who lives in the borderlands and tries to harm anyone who kills animals or destroys nature. She is beautiful and deadly.
Eugeni Surtova is the oldest son of Lord Henric Surtova and stands to inherit his father’s title. He is arrogant and prideful, resolving to violence when his demands are not met. I seem to remember that he was training as a cavalier. It was him that indirectly sent me on my path.

Alrighty then, here's my character.

Initially I was thinking of a Druid that focus on summons nature's ally, but then seeing the lack of caster, I've decided to play Elros the Wizard. He's just a controller, buffing his party, debuffing his enemies and just general battlefield control. If I manage to survive to later levels, then I'll be starting to summoning monster to assist in tanking damage and dealing some too.

Anyway my character's back story could be found on the link just given or by clicking my name, it'll be shown under "Description".

Alternatively it's on the spoiler below:

Elros' backstory:

Elros the Second, son of Godfrey, born and raised in the city of Egorian, his father Aldrich Godfrey is a professor of Conjuration in the University of Egorian. Elros’ talent in the Conjuration art is just as good and if not have a potential to overcome his father. Some call it genetics, but his father knew better.

Elros’ mother was pregnant with Elros when she first met Aldrich. Her husband then was beaten to death by a gang of Tiefling loan shark and she would probably be next if it wasn’t for Elros’ father coming to the rescue, apparently they failed to pay off the loan, and she would be no good to them considered she’s pregnant, so the best option they could think of was to kill them. Luckily Elros’ mother was saved by Aldrich, or a child prodigy would not be born.

Elros never gets to know his mother, as she died shortly after giving birth to him. Before she died however, she named her son Elros II after his biological father Elros. Despite not being related by blood, Aldrich raised Elros as his own son. Elros was taught the art of Conjuration, since he’s a child, however a child of Elf, a Young adult to Human. So when I say he graduated in the Egorian Academy of the Magical Arts at a young age, Elros is 69 years of age, which is young for an Elf. His professor Kelvin McCoy praised him and even once called him his best student, ever.

This of course sparks a rival from his fellow students, especially Stark Bonnerfest, who got expelled from the Academy, when they found out that Stark poison all the food in the cafeteria just to make sure that he won’t miss his target. But little did he know, Elros don’t buy food from the cafeteria, never did. The Enchantment professor on the other hand often sneaks into the cafeteria to eat it before all the student floods in. Tasting something odd with the taste, Dolgrin checks the food and found poison, luckily being a Duergar he’s immune to them, but he’s furious at what this might cause to the student, and he found out fairly easy that it’s the work of Bonnerfest.

Being a Human his father died 10 years later at the age of 106, most would say he lived a happy life and a painless death, but some say he’s fairly short lived for a wizard. Regardless, to Elros he’s the best a child could ask from a father. However with his father’s death, Aldrich’s grandson Edward finally manage to kick Elros out of the House without needing the consent from his grandfather.

“Get out of our property, you stupid Elf! Our grandpa is dead and don’t think for a second that you would inherit any of his will, you’re just an adopted bastard.”

Edward threw Elros’ belonging out the door and shut it behind him. Elros now homeless gather his bits and pieces, put it in his backpack and went on his way. He has no where to go, but he didn’t give up, in fact he’s more hyped up than ever. He could finally use the skill he learns in the Academy for a purpose.

He was wondering for several years and made his way to Pitax a small city in River Kingdom. Life there could not have gone any worst; he accidentally bumped into Castruccio Irovetti the ruler of Pitax and dirty his clothes. Not being particularly happy that day to begin with the king asked,

“Who are you? You filthy Elf?”

Elros replied; it was probably one of the biggest mistakes he has ever made.

“Oh Elros is it? Guards bring me his head!”

That startled Elros, knowing that the king of Pitax wants his head, Elros cast vanish and fled instantly from the scene. He managed to escape the city, but was approach by a female human dress in black outside the gates. She said her name is Faye and reassure Elros that she meant no harm and told him to follow her.

Faye brought Elros to her lair, and it was filled with thieves, bandits, brigands and ilk. Initially Elros though that was probably the end of his life, as he used up the Vanish spell he prepared, he don’t have anything else to save him from this situation. With a will of never giving up, he’s ready to fight to the death, even if it means one versus ten or more bandits.

“Fellows, welcome Elros, our newest member!”

Faye shouted toward the group of people wearing mainly black. Faye told Elros, that there’s no use of denying being a member as they would never let people get out of here, without knowing they aren’t family. Faye could be rather persuasive as she once more reassures him that their group aren’t as bad as what Elros would think them as, they only rob people from Pitax, which are mostly filled with filthy corrupted men. And occasionally do a thief mission or two, in the city.

She introduced Neg a Halfling to guide Elros around the lair. As time passes Elros has finally settled down and treats the gang as family. Until one day Irovetti’s men found out about their whereabouts. They burned down their settlement, and much of the group was killed, Faye was injured in the process.

“They came for you El.”

Said Neg in a hurried voice.

“Quick run away from here, we’ll hold them back.”

Elros asked what of Faye, in which Neg replied, Dave and Steve got her and are bringing her to a safer location don’t worry, now go. And with that, set off yet another adventure for Elros.

I know there's a lot of people posting their essays of character backstory, so I've made another one that's have a bit less text, though it still fills a page on Microsoft Word XD:

Read this only if you want less of a backstory, otherwise read the one above:

Neg was left behind to hold Irovetti’s men back.

Which ever backstory you read, they still consisted of a few basics that are similar and they both still contains the following:

My 3x3x3:

3 allies
Kevin McCoy – A Human Conjurer and a Professor of Elgorian Academy of the Magical Art, he treats Elros as his favourite student.
Faye – A female Human bandit that took Elros in during his time of need, when Irovetti, the king of Pitax asked for Elros' head.
Neg – A Halfling rogue that was first a guide to the gang's hideout and later a close friend of Elros.

3 acquaintances
Dolgrin – A Duergar Enchanter and Professor of Elgorian Academy of the Magical Art, he expelled Stark Bonnerfest from the Academy as Stark tries to poision Elros along with all the student in the Academy.
Steve – A Human Brigand that Elros knew but never really talk much to.
Dave – A Human Bandit and husband of Faye.

3 enemies
Stark Bonnerfest – A rival student, jealous of Elros' talent and tries to poison him, but failed.
Edward Godfrey – Grandson of Aldrich Godfrey, he despites Elros, as he felt that his grandfather paid more attention to Elros than to his own actual grandson.
Castruccio Irovetti – King of Pitax, Elros once dirtied his close, so he asking for Elros' head in return.

Thanks for your consideration, and hope to hear from you soon.

@Azure_Zero + Saxon Harper:

I'm taking you both off my list of applicants - I don't need bickering among players, especially in a recruitment thread of all places. PM was invented for a reason.
Azure I appreciate you trying to help me out but stepping on a DMs toes without asking is not a good way to start.
Saxon you have a near-identical character being submitted for another campaign, so there is no worry of burnout on an idea now.

Thanks for the submissions.

@Big OM
Please throw it all in an alias as I've asked of everybody else to be considered completed! :) Looks great, I love Paladins.

@Elros
Looks good - my only nitpick is your 7 str. You realize you can only carry 23 lbs of goods with that right? I couldn't find some of the equipment you listed for weight, and you are also missing a spell component pouch, but you were already in the neighborhood of 21 lbs of gear. If you're fine with being in your medium load by level 2 or 3 that's okay with me, as long as its okay with you.

Updated list of applicants:
Stellan Volkov, Human Male Winter Witch
Ryst Crowman, Human Male Inquisitor
Amoonrann Stormheart, Oni-Blooded Tiefling Female Storm Druid
Aran Innatven, Human Male Ranger
Caelus Vraie, Human Male Aldori Swordlord Fighter
Garrick Thorne, Half-Orc Male Ranger (Spell-less) **Waiting on full submission
Triaxus, Aasimar Male Ranger
Gerta Sjodin, Human Female Bard(Savage Skald) **Waiting on full submission
Roga, Male Human Paladin of Erastil **Waiting on full submission
Elros II, Elf Male Infernal Binder Wizard

Still taking applications until sometime this evening, and to give those last unfinished submissions to come in.

I'm currently weighting at 22.42lbs, and I'm find with being in medium, but not heavy encumbrance.

I'm hoping that I would have a handy thinggio bag later on in game, and eschew material.

Once again thanks for considering my character.

Done

I was going to say lets wrap up recruitment... but actually, we are missing one very important role - divine caster. Moony plans to go Zen Archer - and of the 8 applicants right now, we have 2 archer rangers, an archer inquisitor, and a zen archer druid. So.. If any of you should like to change your mind of your character, or there are any new apps for a divine caster you will have a good shot at getting in ;)

We could always play with 3 archers, a wizard, and 2 melee.. But the Stolen Lands are a liiiittle too dangerous for that group :P

Well, I did only recently start brainstorming on an Oracle/Diabolist...but that's only in the concept stage and I've yet to investimigate it fully.

I'm willing to be the main damage healer as a Witch but the rest would be up to others, I could work up a main divine caster healer but it would take a while, I'm dead tired now, and the next two days are busy with RL matters (can post but building a good character is some work). Many of the part casters can do healing and disease and other helpful stuff, if they progress their characters that way. Except for the full range of healing, in one person, a divine caster is not required. My opinion is to go with what we have, if tragedy strikes, build a full divine caster replacement then. A wand of CLW would be a good early investment but that's almost always true anyway.

I'm inclined to agree with Stellan. We're not gonna be spamming channel positive, but we've got three casters with at least the ability to cast healing spells. If it comes down to it, I can role up that Oracle as it seems like its gonna work.

The main reason I'd like to bring in a full divine caster is so that Moony and Stellan (should one or both get it) not feel like they HAVE to prepare cure spells.

But you've made some good points. I'll consider this recruitment closed :)

I'm willing to prepare cure spells if needed but I may not have to. With all these characters to check it may have escaped your notice that the hex I chose is healing. I can give every creature one CLW/24 hours forever according to RAW. One heal for every party member, horse, familiar, animal companion, friend, enemy, etc. each day. Without provoking an AOO. I think it's one of the most powerful magics I've seen published in any D20 game for a first level character. Of course, you may wish to limit that hex more for your game. I'm good with what you decide.

Alright, I've made my decision! Sadly I ended up cutting mostly boring human males. The final list is..

Stellan Volkov, Human Male Winter Witch
Amoonrann Stormheart, Oni-Blooded Tiefling Female Storm Druid
Caelus Vraie, Human Male Aldori Swordlord Fighter
Triaxus, Aasimar Male Ranger
Roga, Male Human Paladin of Erastil
Elros II, Elf Male Infernal Binder Wizard

Thanks everybody for the great submissions - and keep an eye out for another recruitment should anybody drop out. If you want to make any last minute character tweaks - please feel free to do so. Just note them here so I can take another look.

Koo koo, well done all and stuff.

Character tweaks, I have two questions: first, what are our bonus feats/traits?

Second, for those of us with the Pioneer Campaign trait, are we limited to just basic horses or could do we have access to the 'working' horses?

I will have all those worked out by the time game starts. I'm just heading off to bed and then have to go spend the day with mom tomorrow, hosting a BBQ and whatnot. If you're wondering what yours specifically is, well that was an easy one (that you seemed to be fishing for, smart girl). Fiendish Facade, to appear Half-Elf.

Just regular horses - no warhorses.

Cool cool. Have the fun at your BBQ ^^

My question would then be is it possible to have them trained for riding purpose? And I assume the horses are light horses?

This is Nimon aka Ryst, this is an alternative character a cleric of Desna. I will transfer the rest from hero lab and work on her 3x3x3 tommorow night after mother's day events if you still need a pure divine caster.

Oh, just going to tweak my character a bit before we start, I might switch my Con and Int, and might take a few more social skills. I will post when its changed for you to have a look

Edit: just changed my trait from artistic delitante to World Traveler and took out points in craft: weapons and put it into Diplomacy, nothing major

Thanks for the selection dunebugg, and 'grats to everyone else picked!

As far as the divine caster issue, I was considering a dip at least into cleric as the game progressed; I can do that sooner if need be.
