In case you want to read the story so far

TL:DR

- Sun xiao and Auron traveled to Riatavin a city of Thetyr for the funeral of Tandall. You meet there Danissa Ironsould and her husband *cough* Castien telendil *cough*

- You learned that Fivination failed to reveal what killed Tandall. Fughter, the clerics were unable to find Tandall's soulds and could not raise him from death.

- There is nothing really remarkable in Tandall´s body. There is no magical aura that indicates magic that kills without causing physical harm like Phantasmal killer. The cause of death is most likely the single sword injury he have in the chest.

There are, however, several lingering magical auras (mostly necromancy, the others are blurry) but you can not tell is the aura is because Tandall cast a spell, somebody else cast a spell upon him or the attempts to communicate with his soul and/or revivify him.

- Miranna the Watcher. came and told you that Tandall's soul was not in Helm (his deity) realm. Then she left with the promise of keep looking for answers.

- You foudn that Tandall was involved in a fighter with basically a nobody named Guld

A quick interrogation tould you this

Spoiler:
Q: " How did you knew him" ; A: We drink togheter from time to time, the old man was poor but always have some money to spare in alcohol

(This is completely weird, He never drank too much, one of the most sacred tenets of the cruch of Helm is to be ever watchful)

Q: "why did you fight" ; A: That day he did not want to drink, he was like meditative, I get angry I insult him then I insult his daughter, big mistake for me, the man was crazy

Q: "Why do you say he was crazy" ; Well, because he was, he had nigtmares constantly, and when drunk he always talked of the "reality behind" and the "nightmares of the dead gods" or something, I do not know.

"I just take avantage when he was spending money in alcohol, He drank with wichever was avaliable at the moment, I swear I d not know who kill him, he was like a bull I know of noone that coudl have kill him"

- The interrogation was interrupted when the group noticed that a small cacodaemon was Spying you. Sun K.O it, but you were worried because cacodaemos eat souls. However, you could not tell for sure that the daemon ate Tandall's soul.

Silly edit time limt...

- You interrogated Tandalls body, He was elusive dodging the question until this

"Okay, Tandall, tell em then. What is this knowledge that you possessed in life that would make someone send an daemon to kill you?"

"The location of the remaining 2 verses of the creation"

Tandall's Body negated to answer the location of those verses.

- A leukodaemon appeared and threatened to kill Danissa if you do not tell the location of the verses. He telepoted Away. You teleported to stop him only to discover all was a trap.

A cleric held dannisa captive. You attacked him, put him unconcious and teleported to the city of BAldurs Gate with him and DAnissa.

-You looted a +1 breastplate, +1 tower shield, blown-glass vial that has a chain for attaching it to the handle of a weapon. , the reservoir have 1 charge. EDIT: he also have a diamonf of the size of half a fist.

He also had a non-magical amulet with the symbol of the Archdaemon, Apollyon

- You tried to interrogate him but you prefered to cut his tongue and send him to the abyss.

- Then some other htings append but I prefer if we resume from here.

@ Sun and Auron

You were succesful in defeating the Daemon infestation near the city of Riatavin. However, you could not find more information about the veres of creatiton, the only thing you know for sure is that those daemons you defeated were not the only ones looking for the verses, It seems that the ones you defeats were just following orders.

You returned to Baldurs gate to rest and to start the investigation from there. However, the next day Auron felt that someone was trying to Scry upon the group. The intrusive magic was powerful.

two days later in the temple of Ogmah in Baldurs Gate.

Brother Turmant and hte other cleric of Ogmha have granted you moderate protection against the scrying, but their resources are running out quickly.

Castien Telendil: I will Take Danissa to Evereska, no one could be so powerful or foolish to attempt an attack there...I hope. I'm Sorry I could not remain with you.

Brother Turmant (grand cleric of Ogmha)*: We can mantaing the crying at bay for another 24 hours, I'm Afraid that is all we can do. We are a small church here

*By the way he is not really a "grand-cleric", in this region most cleric of Ogmha live in Candlekeep.

So, posible paths

Investigate in a library

There are a couple of options

-Candlekeep: This is the most accesible. This library is near Baldurs gate and Auron Know it very well (and people there know him very well). To have acces to the library you have to donate a book of at least 1000 gp.

- Master´s Library: Located in the Iron dragon mountain, this is the biggest library known in the world, containing books from every known language. However the acces to the the library is considerably more dificult. A direct acces to this library is almost a miracle, the most frequent is to request a copy of a text.

- Leaves of learning: A temple dedicated To ogmha. Initiates and clergy of Oghma could examine a volume for only 1 gp

There are other Libraries, but they are more exotic and just finding their location is a quest in itself.

Try to Scry back

Instead of looking for inforamtion about the verses you can try to locate whoever is spying on you. NOt sure if Auron have the spells to do it, otherwise you will need to find a high level spellcaster that help you (high level spellcaster are not uncommon in the realms)

Finding Daemonic cults

So you can defeat/interrogate their members to see if somebody know something.

======
Or you can try Whatever you want.

@ Garren

After some missunderstanding The halfling spent a season hiding from the shadow thieves of Athkatla. Garredd then got tired of it and decided to contact some of his informants.

Yulein swiftsteps: Garren, I've been trying to located you for days - Say the young she-halfling - I have this for you

It was a letter with the seal of the deity Helm, God of guardians. The letter informed of the decease of Tandall Ironsoul, former leader of a adventuring party you were part of. The funeral would be done in Riatavin, City of Thethyr (not far away from your location).

However, that was two days ago. The letter reached your hand too late. You was about to complain but then you feel as if someone is looking at you, you look around but are unable to find anyone. You Then rembemer that you have felt like this in the past, someone is magically spying your movements.

The first thing that cross your mind is how quick the Shadow thieves located you.

Garren carefully folds the letter and tucks it away within his clothes. However when he feels himself being watched, he thinks quickly.

"How's the family?" Garren idly inquires, "Get something nice for them Yulein, says Garren as he tucks a few gold coins into her hand. "To meet with old friends once more is quite the gift fate has given. Given the circumstances, I can't imagine anyone with a better eye for safety than Auron. I suppose I'm in good hands."

"Perhaps next time I'm in town, I'll take you to dinner, but alas I must be going." And with that Garren flickers out of sight to go procure means to get to Thethyr, likely a carriage as Garren loves to travel in style.

Upon receiving her priest's blessing, Erd rode to Palischuk. An aging wizard was rumored to have retired there, and he was known to cast spells for a price. That price, for Erd and Bili, was exorbitant, but her need was urgent, so she bought a teleport to Baldur's Gate.

Assuming I can write the spell into my backstory?

The great barbarian's first task was to purchase stabling. No normal stable would accommodate Bili, of course, but she found space in an exotic menagerie. She then went to roam the streets in search.

Erd is an arresting sight - an eleven-foot toothy giant in heavy armor, lank black hair streaming in the wind - and tends to disrupt traffic more than she would like. Though that made it likelier that rumor would spread to the others, after the first day of searching she gave up. A group of ruffians, sufficiently intimidated, would continue the search for her, while she retired to the menagerie.

Each of 20 ruffians paid 1 gp, with an additional 5 whenever they bring her "a halfling thief, a holy priest of Oghma, or an armorless warrior." Erd is not good with descriptions.

@ Erd

I will change Erd action a bit. She does snot teleport to Baldurs gate (since she do not have a reason, and the information she recieved tell the funeral of Tandalls was in the city of Riatavin)

Erd came too late. The funeral of their former companion was over, and the other members of the old party were gone to unkown location.

It did not take too long for Erd to find that there were problems in Tandalls Funeral. After asking for it a couple of priesrt of Helm (LN deity of guardians) Approach her.

Cleric: My name is Comrad Grayflame Highwatcher of Helm, and you,...you definitely look exotic enough to be a friend of Tandall. I'm sorry but your other friends are not here

@ Garren

In all the travel to Riatavin Garren could sense that he was being observed (Unless you can use some form of protection against scrying).

As he feared, it was too late for the funeral. Afther inquiring a bit he found that some of the attendants were involved in a big fight, but not much information was obtained as first. And then he saw the eleven-foot toothy giant in heavy armor talking with some other old dude. But before you could do something you noticed that a tall figure was spying upon Erd from the shadows.

@ Aruron, Sun

I assume you decide to go to the leaves of learning

Aunron and Sun Teleport to the east to a region called the dalelands. The Dales are broad forest vales with rolling farmlands, linked by narrow trade roads running through beautiful woods. Blessed with fertile soil and a temperate climate (aside from the extremely harsh winters). Eleven separate dales exist today, each with its own territory, government (or lack of it), militia, trading pacts, ambitions, and character.

The slim-spired temple of Oghma known as the Leaves of Learning soars above the streets of Highmoon atop the southern end of Highmoon Hill in Deepingdale. One of the finest libraries east of Candlekeep resides in the stout stone chambers of the central tower, cloaked in the wards to reduce the threat of fire, water, or mold. The Tower of Tomes is flanked by a pair of cloisters that face inward toward a walled, forested garden where cascades of endlessly pumped water babble past many small bowers and contemplation nooks. At the far end of the East Cloister is the Scroll House, where the temple staff dwell amid newly acquired books and scrolls to be repaired and cataloged.

Highmoon is one of the most integrated human, elven and half-elven town in all Faerûn. The people in there seems frineldy and welcoming as you walk by the streets.

You come to the library just in time to witness the ceremony dedicated to Ogmha. The Binding is a morning service wherein the symbols of Oghma are written in ashes upon a stone altar while a silent prayer of loyalty and praise is made to the Binder(Ogmha).

When the ceremony ends the clerics and monks leave to do their other duties. One of the young female acolytes approach you andy

Greetings. I'm Lorekeeper Illena, can I help you in something?

@ Sun, Auron

After basically all day consulting books and asking for suggestiongs to the library staffs Sun think he have found something.

In some really (REALLY) old elven poem there are references to some unspecific verses. THe peoem is a celebration of life and the good things in life, and thanks for the existence of life and all other good thinks instead of the nothingness that could have been if the good would not have intervened .

One poems speaks about the virtues of the elven gods. Of how splendids are they creation, and how much involved they are in the design of nature. Now, the poem glorify the elven gods above all, but it also acknowledge the participation gods (but not by name). THe peom start and ends with

"May what was woven by the verses never be unraveled "

The author of the poem never care to say what the verses are supposed to be, it is like it is expected that the reader of the poem to be familiar with them.

And you of course will forgive my lack of skills to make verses in english :P

There is also a crhonicle. It tolds the story of Gierealee a drow matron mother. One of the first generations of drows in exitence. Gierealee made war agaisnt surface elf. She was a powerful cleric of Lot, the spider queen. Gierealee was about to destroy a Surface elven city, but she covet more, much more. She wanted to destroy all elf in Faerûn so she requested A verse to Lot. The spider queen refuses.

The author of the crhnicle writes as if that were to be expected. Gierealee insisted again and again until Lot punish her for this. Again, the tone of the writting asume this as normal.

Stealth: 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (4) + 33 = 37
Skill Mastery: 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (14) + 33 = 47

Once Erd sees the sneak she'll release Bili from her armor, attempt to quickly get aboard, and use As One (aka Spring Attack) with her longsword. (Just in case I'm not online when combat goes down.)

@ Garren, Erd

GArren can see that the words of Erd ( The secret message) caused some reaction on the thre faced female. It put her on alert.

The clerics of helm were until now unaware of Garren prcense, but then as the halfling activates his Amulet, the sudden apareance of a light source cause a reaction in the clerics.

The three-Faced creature see the reaction of the clerics and realize something is odd.
